I would certainly try and get them to wait until the weekend if they sound OK as that puts it into around 8 working days.

Thanks Soolin, that's what I want to do, but as you can see from my last post, I am already having problems due to low DSRs, so don't want to risk suspension.

The basic way is to go to your expanded seller dashboard you then have reports and service tools on the left. However as Terra says you need to be careful that they say what you think they say as they can be a worry. I tend now to just watch my expanded dashboard for 1 or 2 *.

EDIT: What is interesting though is to compare UK and non UK sales.

    cheers, interesting and thanks

What a shame, we are rather held to ransom with the stars if we get a TRS discount. It doesn't take a lot to lose it especially for a seller like me with a low number of sales.

That's why I refunded mine after only 5 working days, I couldn't risk my buyer getting upset by being asked to wait for a week until I got home from holiday.

I have just lost my TRS due to a 1* and a 2* both left on the same day (I have narrowed it down by running several reports.)

Four buyers left feedback on that date, one I lost 82p on the postage, one I combined postage and saved them 2.40, and the other two the postage cost was £2.24 and I charged them £2.50 - both were bubbled wrapped and boxed.

I have appealed to Ebay, but not holding my breath :o

be very careful with reports, I had narrowed it down running reports, until I cross referenced and they did not match. I was using dates, but the transaction dates and listing dates did not give the same results. I spent hours on them! I don't know what ebay did, but they must have done something.
The US boards have several threads about running reports using item numbers, starting from a base report of 10 5s. It's worth doing a search if you are interested.
They seem to be more reliable.
But don't hope to learn anything from reports, as at least in my case, they don't follow any logic.

I used to have low postage stars, but by upgrading my packaging and using some free postage they have gone up.
A bit of fancy packing material has helped, but I have enough margins to be able to do this.

I only ever got one 2 stars, will never know why as postage was less than I paid! Same person gave me fab +fb, and 2, 3, 4, 4, stars.
The good thing is that I sell items that buyer cannot buy anywhere else, so when they came back wanting to buy again from me, it was me laughing......

Strangely enough my analysis of the single 2* I have (P and P) showed the same buyer left 5* across the board for everything else.

  • I went onto Live Chat, and they asked who had left the low stars for me !! Thought it was supposed to be anonymous :rotfl:

Same here, and on that report I had 25 feedback, 23 were 5* for P & P, and then the 1 1* and 1 2*. I have gone back through all my postage, and honestly can't see that I have overcharged anyone to the extent where they would leave these scores.

That's the problem with Ebay now, if a buyer makes a mistake, has a bad day, or just doesn't understand how the stars work, there's nothing sellers can do about it :o

I totally agree with you, after spending hours and hours on this, that it's just a waste of time, you can't figure out what happened. It just worries you.
I good guess for me is that my packaging wasn't too good at the time, and P&P will reflect that as well.

I sometimes buy stuff from ebay, and when i bought i expected some delays. And the seller kept in contact to tell me whats happening and stuff. So meh i dont understand why some people leave negative feedback when its clearly not your fault.
