Well done MRSM xxx
Another NSD here today all of this staying in is doing my purse huge favours, I am going to need to go and get a few bits tomorrow but I will be writing a list and sticking to it, I have so much food in the cupboards and freezer its time for a little declutter and clear I think. Meal plan is done and all we will need to buy is a F&V and then bread and milk hopefully it will be a cheap couple of weeks helping bring the budget down.

Well done Mrs Mc - way to go!! :j:j:j
Congrats to you too Toddles! :T:T:T
Thanks to a previous poster (sorry, can't remember who) I decided to take advantage of stocking up on the vat-able stuff before the rise on Tuesday. As a result, spent £67.68 in Sainsbugs, but should be OK for a while on toiletries and suchlike. I know it's a big hit, but I'm going to include all this in Jan's GC to try and alleviate costs over the next couple of months. Don't know if it will work, but here goes... Also managed to pick up some whoopsied ready to bake petit pains and ciabatta rolls for the freezer.
One more day, then back to work

I am a bit of an old timer but I haven't been on here for months and I would like to rejoin you as I need to survive January on just £50 That is for five of us until the 10th then just 3 adults for the rest of the month.
If the weather holds I will have a look in our allotment and see what is still growing after the sub zero temperatures we had last month. Tomorrow I will do a freezer and store cupboard inventory and come up with a plan.
Well done Mrs Mc!!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Well done MrsM thats an amazing weight loss, a few years ago I lost 3 and a half stone with S.W. and would love to go back to it however the group I went to has closed. May have a look through the books again and see if can do it myself. Have I seen a thread on here about it? if so can someone point me in the right direction please. Need to shift a stone at least and DH says he will attempt to shift some.
Another NSD for me as not been out at all. Got some broccoli in the fridge that will have to be turned into soup tomorrow as its begining to lose its colour. That will do us all for our lunch anyway with some bread or toast. Not sure about tea yet but will see how we feel tomorrow.
Good to see lots of new members joining, more members = more ideas for everyone. :TMARCH £62.38/2500 -
Thanks MRSMC, rosieben and Pink-winged for getting us going again for January.:A
MRSMC - please put me down for £395.47 for Dec, slightly under so I'm really pleased, especially as we had family staying and also had a party Xmas Eve. Please put me down for £250 for JAN. Confident that I'll meet this as managed to slice some spare Turkey and Gammon for the Freezer for forthcoming meals and cupboards still fairly well stocked.
Popped to Lidl today for Milk and noticed they had Lean Steak Mince half price £1.19 for 500g - got 4 packs for Freezer, offer on until tomorrow so hope this may be of use to some of you.
Tonight's Dinner is a whoopsied Free Range chicken from Sainsbury's, no pudding as we still have some Xmas Cake to finish off.
Tomorrow I plan to sort through the Fridge to see what needs using up, will make some Bread and some rolls ready for Packed Lunches for Tuesday and then I plan to look through Recipe Index on front page to meal plan for the Month. I feel we've got stuck in a rut on the meals front so I want to try and cook 1 new recipe a week.
Feeling quite confident for 2011 on the GC front - come Spring I will be planting up the whole of the Allotment, wasn't 100% ready 2010 as I was still digging over etc but all ready now and got loads of lovely beds just waiting to be planted up. This will hopefully save us more money in the summer months and hopefully will be able to over winter some crops for soups etc - was up there last week digging up leeks for soup - every little helps.
Anyway, enough waffle - HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone and WELCOME to all the NEWBIES - good luck, you'll find loads of useful tips etc on here.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.
