Hello,
Can I rejoin the thread again? My food shopping got a little out of control again with stocking up for winter and Christmas
Anyway on the happier side it means I have plenty in and will need fruit, veg and milk for next week or the week after. I've just batch cooked a load of macaroni cheese to have tonight and to freeze for easy teas to have with peas and bit of green veg next week.
Had a think about the budget for Jan and have set one at £150. I'll see how this goes and then see if I can reduce it a little over the next few months
This budget is just for me and my dog and includes all food and cleaning products. I'm rejoining as I try and free up some money for debt CC repayments and also use up some of the stocks I've acculmulated as its starting to look a bit ridiculous up in the spare room
Here we go then for Janfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Definitely make it, bramble. It was :drool::drool: The nicest pasta I have ever had.
DD2 was really happy - she helped make it.
The recipe said it served four. There's three of us and we only ate half of it, so I would say it could serve six, but maybe depends on what your portion size is like.
Going to make some tomorrow!
Did my first shop of 2011 today. spent £23.62 in waitrose. got a few bits and bobs. Was really annoyed they had no onions so had to buy ready chopped ones  but need them for dinner tonight so had no choice.
I think that shop will do us for this week. Bought more bread flour so going to make a loaf and some cookies and cheese biscuits for snacks.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Please can I join?
I'd like to go down as £250 a month. (And hope to reduce that further in the new future....)0 -
Hi all - Happy New Year
As we have lots of things in the house (to the point of being kept in shopping bags in corner of our teeny kitchen) please can we be put down for:
£50 for the month of January
This is food, household products and toiletries for all of us.
Thank youLove and compassion to all x0 -
After my NSD yesterday I had to stock up with a few things today so me and the sprogs walked into town to the Co-op and I spent £17.79. We have to walk by the woods to get to town and we are always on the lookout for squirrels so you can imagine our delight when on the way back a grey squirrel decided to put on a little 'Show' for us, it dashed along the path, up the tree along the branch then jumped onto the other tree it had just came from, then it ran up and down the tree but still in sight. I don't know who was more excited, me or the kids
.
I have a few things I want to put in place as I go forward with my new budgeting lifestyle and that is to walk more and not get a taxi because it's easier, we normally get a taxi to my daughters nursery in the morning which costs about £2.20 but its only a 10/15 minute walk which we can easily do if I'm a little more organised in the mornings and I normally get a taxi home from the town which costs about £4.50 but again is only a 15/20 min walk, these costs soon add up and I plan to save any spare change I have each week to put towards a holiday abroad this year.
I also plan on giving up Coca Cola, it's like an addiction to me and I can easily drink a few ltrs a day, I daren't even think about the health issues of this so I drank the last of my cola NYE and haven't had any since, I bought a bottle of my fave diluted juice from Co-op today and plan on having that along with cups of tea to keep me going.
I know I got it from these boards but I can't for the life of me think who posted it but I bought a tin of value custard and some sprinkles from co-op which along with the packs of jelly I already have in the cupboard, I plan on making some individual trifles as a little treat for us after dinner, I know the kids will love it :T
Still got today and tomorrow at home and plan of making full use of this time to gut my house as much as possible, my dad will be coming past with his works van during the week and he says to put as much rubbish in my garden as possible and he will take it all away for me...I do love my daddy:j Here's to 2013, may it bring Happiness to all :j0
