  • Hi all - Happy New Year :)

Please can we be put down for £500 per month - that's a family of 6. This is basically everything brought at the supermarket for all of us.

Thank you. Will look through the recipes later - we have 4 carnivores and 2 veggies to cope with. Looking for a few meals that everyone will eat that are pretty cheap to form the backbone - I'll let you know which I find as I report back

Hi all, ((((hugs)))) to everyone who needs them.

I've spent £4.75 today and done a meal plan and ordered a Tesco delivery for tomorrow.

I'm trying to slowly include more organic and free range products in our menu, whilst spending less, so it's going to be a challenge! On the other hand, £400 a month for 4 adults and a cat is very generous, so should be easy in theory.

Good luck and happy new year all. :)

Corrrr blimey this has been busy hasn't it ....

    Good afternoon all
Hello to all the newbies :T -Im sure this is the most people participating I have ever seen :D

Esmer.... I haven't missed you, you are on the "monthly section" -but if I do ever miss you (I always miss someone :o-PM me and give me a nudge;))

Well folks .... I did it :j -I lost 1.5lbs today -so its 100lbs gone :j-now on to whats left :rotfl:

Anyhoo -back onto grocery matters and -well -you see, it was like this :p we nipped to the naffi and I spotted packs with 4 huge pork chops in -whoopse to €1.20 -so I grabbed both pack and have frozen them individually, bags of parsnips -whoopsed to 40c so 2 of them have been peeled and wedged in the freezer, and finally a pack of 4 rather big n scrummy looking potato/bubble n squeak cakes whoopsed to 70c so I have another€3.90 to add on to my signature :D ...

I have used up the sorry looking potatoes, onions, carrots and swede today and made hubby a big pan of cornedbeef hash to have for lunches the next few day ;) -I swear you would think I was serving him fillet steak :rotfl:-he is easy to please:p.
He has requested though that I make some of it later in the week into "calzone" for him to take to work... don't know where he comes up with these ideas -but I think it might work well.
Sorry whoever asked(think it was redmel) about the remoska calzones the other day I forgot to answer ..... I use the baguette dough I make and bake them in the oven as it needs misting with water as it bakes -so he only has to re-heat them in the remoska at work,,, I hope you grow to love your remoska -I love mine they are my fave kitchen gadget :D

right -enough waffle -I will get off and update the list again..
Hope everyone is safe n warm... we have had some more over night to add to the 2ft we allready have ...

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

£23.00 spend today on nibbles (I know...) some drinks and some cleaning things I needed including Astonish for the oven.

I think I have a cold coming though so looking forward to my super warming stew with some mash potato for dinner tonight.

Mrs Mc- Well done! I wish I could shift some. Unfortunately the tablets I'm on at the mo makes it a bit impossible! Well done though! You must be so proud!

Anyway have a good day all :) I'm off for a mooch round the boards!
