Looks like all the OP likes to do is moan, moan, moan. Unhappy with curry's PC World but when you suggest alternatives like building your own PC moan, moan, moan about it as well.

Building a PC is not an alternative to buying a laptop in PC World, doofus.

How many people know how to build a computer/laptop though? Sure you can save money, but most people don't want to build their own, so pay for a pre-built one.

I sadly used to work for PC World, hated every second of it, all down to the other staff and managers.

I was plonked on a till all day, and still expected to sell cover! Only been in a couple of times since, left in 2006.

Is good to have a look around at the laptops/pcs and then buy online though.
What is pi? Where did it come from?

I have never come across anyone who has built their own laptop but I would love to meet someone that has and shake their hand. Even fixing a laptop is difficult due to the lack of choice of parts and the small, fiddly confines of a laptop case. Dismantle a PC and I could put it together again for you but I wouldn't be as confident to spec and buy from scratch.

I wonder what negative comments will be made about my post this time? The ignore button is great, unfortunately people keep feeding the troll (very kind of y'all but it won't make it go away) so I get to see the quotes.

the only reason anyone with an iq above 4 buys a laptop from pc world is the fact that dsg loses money on each one, the extended warranty, accessories etc are the only way they make any money

Fact is, PC World and Curry's have been trading for years and will continue to do so long after the OP is dead and gone.
