  • I was determined also that when I could, I would grab some nice times for myself. I am managing this too, most of the time and I really suffer when I don't get any. It really keeps me on an even keel. Have a fabby week.

  • Aww thanks Jelly bean but I am just about to let you down. I had to lift £60 from my credit card today . I could just cry. Still no money from CSA so I should have had £210 so far and I have not had a penny. So not only has he not paid thenew amount but he has also stopped paying the old amount so I am in real terms £100 down now. I was so organised thinkin I would pay off CC when I used it for pressies but I thought it was a perfect way to keep an eye on my spends by using it but between the £60 today and the petrol I paid for with it I am now £110 in debt to it for 'normal' things. All due to that sh*t not paying for his kids yet again. So,so annoying.

Kids are going there on Thurs evening for an hour or so as he hasn't contacted then or seen them for four weeks and if DD did not have her driving test next week I think she would give it to the both of them both barrels as she is fed up with it as well. I think at the ripe old age of 17 she is fed up watching me struggle constantly and has lost all respect for her dad. Oh well its nothing less than he deserves and I havent even been involved. He has managed to f*ck up all by himself.

DD has a visit to the open day at the Art college on Thursday. I am well excited about that for her. I hope she gets in as thats where she really wants to go. If not then she will have to go to college and do an HND and then transfer to uni in 3rd year to finish her honours. Would be so much easier to just do the whole thing in the one place though but places are at a premium.

Anyway, it's late. I omly spent 50p today on a packet of crisps. The rest was DS's Tae Kwon Do and paying money back to money I was holding onto in work :(

  • Your ex will never look at the problem being his fault, give the enough rope and they will hang themselves. My daughters have come to the same conclusion about thier dad. Think kids realise after a while that the reason they have to go without or mum can afford it is cause dad is being a k**b and thinks the only it affects is you dont even think of the consequences it will have on the children.
I wouldnt worry about the 60 quid some weeks they just aint enough to go round no matter how frugal you are, i still got a long way tog o on cutting down but getting there slowly x i think you are marvellous my dear x

  • Thank you jelly bean. I think you are marvellous too. I am shattered tonight as sleep was not coming to me last night. Too manythings going around in my head. I just popped on to tell you that I got £156 today from CSA :T. So happy. I have spent £100 on shopping as we had nothing in except real basics and it's very difficult sticking to a healthy eating plan with no food :rotfl:. Fridge, freezer and cupboards are now heaving. Snow is on its way here very soon though so as I live at the top of a hill it is best to be stocked up. I have kept money to buy DS a game for his x-box as a treat for after his operation on Friday and lifted £20 to see me through the week. I hope to pay the £60 back that I have borrowed. I will then finish my Christmas shopping ASAP( all on the card) and every penny I have extra will then go towards that card when the bill comes in. I am in a better frame of mind tonight so long may it last :D

  • Evening all. I hope everyone is well.

Well I stopped work at lunchtime today and will not b eback until Monday at the earliest. Great you might say but I will not have a minute to call my own . This afternoon I took my mum to a hospital appointment , then DD and I to a nurse appointment, then took DS to tae kwon do. Also fitted in cooking for everyone's dinner.

Tomorrow I need to clean the house from top to bottom and catch up with washing and ironing so that I am not stressed over the weekend as I will have no time at all to do it then. I also have to take my mum to her hearing aid appointment and then go back in later to have dinner with her as kids are going to their dad's straight from school.
Friday ds and I will be at the hospital all day. My brother is coming with me to keep me company and also DS hero worships him so he will keep him amused whilst we are hanging about. Saturday morning I am working at 2nd job so DS will need to come with me to that. DD and I will then have to do DS's paper round. Then go in and feed my mum. Sunday might be free but I doubt it :rotfl:. Jeez, I am knackered before I start . Never mind. It all has to be done.

Nurse told me tonight that my blood pressure is too high and I need to go back in 1 month. I need to see this through this time as if I get ill then everyone's life goes up in smoke. Oh well :p. I'll keep sticking to my diet and continue my healthy lifestyle. It's got to help.

DD is filiing in her forms for Uni and it costs £22.50 just to complete the form . !!!!!! is that all about. Was telling my mum today when we were at the hospital and she gave her £20 towards it :D. I have given her the rest and some money to get up to the uni tomorrow for the open day. I can't believe that my baby is old enough to go to uni . Does that make me old??

  • No what makes you old is tutting at the news, or buying slacks.

My eldest has finished uni, and I am not shopping for slacks yet, the news just makes me sigh.
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Slacks :rotfl:no not yet.

I just paid off £72.52 to tesco. £140 to go and it will be gone. So excited, can't wait until payday.:j

    Hello

Just back from a 4 day trip to Edinburgh. First time I've been back in 18 years! I sound "english" now - apparently!!! And Edinburgh has become like London with all these pavement cafes and trendy bars! All change!

  • I am well jell Stu. I love, love, love Edinburgh. I wouldn't live there but am very happy to spend a few days there. Did you go to the dungeons? I screamed my head off in them :rotfl:.

Oh well DD went to the Art college today and has decided that it is not for her. She said they were all weird and totally disorganised :rotfl:. Although she is very arty she is not the arty type. She had to buy a new outfit for going today so that tells you something. She will not go out without her make up and likes to look perfect every time she steps over the door. Grungy art types are not her scene apparently. Back to the drawing board then .

No spend so far today so that is good. I really dont intend to spend anything today so hopefully I can stick to that.

Took my mum to the ear clinic today and got her whistley hearing aid sorted so she is all happy. Doing housework now and back in there for dinner later. 3 loads of washing done :D and ironing all up to date :D. Getting there and hopefully house all clean by tonight so I can forget about that at least. DS's pj's etc all ready for the morning for hospital.

I have put 3 weight watcher books onto Amazon so fingers crossed they sell quite quickly and that can go towards paying the Christmas credit card :o.

Hope everyone is having a nice productive day.
