  • Tired.com. Still up at 3.30 am with DD coughing last night. Poor soul has a right nasty bug. She has been puking and the other all day today and had a nice wee faint about 30 minutes ago. The joys ;).

Went to Yorkhill with DS this morning to see his ear consultant and the bad news is that he needs another procedure done under general anaesthetic. He is not happy and neither am I. His ears are full of yuk stuff that he is not managing to clear himself and we have been warned that under no circumstances have we to use buds etc as we could wreck his hearing altogether. They tried to syringe it today but no joy so he has to get a general for them to go in and clean them out and have a right good look to ensure that the growth he had the last time is not growing back. I pray to God that it is not as that was a nightmare and I know his hearing is dodgy already but if he needs the op again he could lose it in that ear. Oh well. as I said 'the joys'. But as I told my son, at least he knows it can hopefully be fixed ( although he will always have problems with that ear) and worst case scenario is that he has one ear that he is deaf in. Some of the kids up there are just tragic to see. They will die young and he was quick to say yes he realises that although he has a 'condition' at least he is nice and healthy.

We always stop at a van on the way down from Yorkhill to get him a roll and sausage as a treat. He really looks forward to it as we have done this every single appointment since he was young so I couldn't turn round today and say no. So £3.10 spent there and £3.40 in Farmfoods. Only other spends were his lunch money so not too bad today :D.

So I am shattered and may put my head down for half an hour before dinner. House is clean and tidy as no doubt DS and I will catch this sicky bug next and it is much easier to be ill in a nice house :D

  • Wow Mit, what great news on the tesco account.

Hope your sons hearing issues pa out ok. Is your daughter getting over the bug? These things tend to go through houses like a dose of salts.
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • DD is much better. She has only puked once today. I went back to work and was kept up to date all day on her progress ( roll eyes smiley) by text. Neither DS or I have caught the bug so fingers crossed we dont. In saying that she has lost half a stone and that would give me a good start on my little black dress thread :rotfl:. Bit extreme mind you.

I am amazed myself at the TESCO account. I think sometimes you just plod on and forget what is actually being achieved until you stop and have a look. I am so glad I did as I am well happy with that. Had to borrow £60 today though so I am not happy with that :(. I have to pay £10 deposit for my Christmas night out in work. I have to pay £20 for my deposit for the country and western weekend I am going to next year and also £12 for a day out in November with my friends. This is my own money I have borrowed from but I am not pleased :(. I'm feeling as guilty as anything too as it is all for social occasions, but I can afford to go to all the things, I just struggled with all the deposits at the one time. Never mind I will get there and I will have fun fun fun :D.

So Jelly Bean.........bend over till I kick your !!!!! lady. Do you want to do this type of thing for a long time or a short time??? I rest my case. Get on with it. ;).

KP my boy loves cuddles but only from me at the mo :p

  • Hi. Had poor DD at docs again tonight and it is gastric flu she has. Her blood pressure was so low that they couldn't get a reading. She has actually come home though and ate 2 plates of pasta so must be on the mend :D.

Jelly bean I am feeling much the same way this month. I have lifted my share of the savings club my friends and I have so I could pay a couple of things. I have spent most of the money adn I still haven't paid anything off . Now this is where I really really need to watch as I will get into big money problems again if I start this nonsense. I am a comfort eater and because my life has been pretty chaotic the last few weeks I have been comfort eating, and it costs a bleeding fortune . I am spending loads on lunches and goodies and really starting to annoy myself now. I will get back on it soon. I am sure.

I need to pay £20 to work and a further £15 to work and £25 to DS's tae kwon do. I have £15 in my purse and between 2nd job and tax credits I will have £71 so £86 in total. so in real terms I have £26 :rotfl:. That's to buy petrol and food and I am meeting a friend for lunch on Sunday . No chance :o. I will try my damndest but I may have to use my card for petrol and food BUT I will pay it off as soon as the bill comes in as it has silly interest on it. Never mind. I am sure that from now until Christmas my life will just be one massive juggling game. Bring it on I am ready for it ...........maybe !!

  • Evening all.
I've just come across the it in my spending diary where I was keeping note of my weight loss prior to the summer :(I am the same weight as I was in May :(. I've achieved zero loss over the summer and autumn. I really need to pick up the pace. I think I will make a pot of soup at the weekend and just start having that every lunch time. If I stick to porridge or breakfast then I will be being frugal as well as healthy.

I had Virgin on the phone tonight and I am getting the new fibre optic hub :D, Not very MSE I know but hey we really need it. We are a very techy family who all use our pc's and x-box all the time. This results in really slow connections so we are well happy to get the new one. I'm getting 3 months free and then £5 per month so that's great. It really is needed here. My plan was never for the kids to have to make do with lesser quality just because I am a fool with money so this is part of their Christmas :D.

Spent £15 in ASDA tonight but also annoyingly spent £6.90 on lunches or DS and I. I really need to get more organised and stop spending silly money. If I stop spending silly money then I might have some spare cash to do nice things. So slap on the wrist for me and I need to sort myself out :o
