lol @ both of you. Workie thanks for that but bloody printer is broken so I cant download any vouchers at the mo . We'll not go mad though. I have bought goodies in ALDI as in popcorn, juice etc so we have that sussed as there is no way I will pay the mad prices in the cinemas. Our local ( well 12 miles away) cinema is an Empire so I will just need to pay up and shut up. My mum provided the money anyway so it won't hurt so much
.
I love being off of work. You get time to do things. My exciting things consist of going to farmfoods and aldi :rotfl:. I always end up going to ASDA just because it is easier. Today I have spent £46.48 on food, goodies and juice between the 2 shops and I feel as if I bought hundreds of things. I am stocked up on everything except diluting juice which I will pick up later. I also picked up 5 pairs of nice socks in aldi for ds and a new washable doormat for £4.99  I paid £17 for the last one I got.
I only owe £231.20 to tesco now:D. There will be a payment of £30 coming out of my account before the end of the month so if I haven't cleared it by then, then I will clear it on payday. I am so excited. I will be down to 3 cc's , a bank loan and my mum. This is a massive difference to me :j. Just out of nosiness I checked where i would be sitting debt wise this time next year and if all goes to plan then I will be at £8.5k. How exciting is that?
So all is well and I am looking forward to going out later with the kids. A rare treat for us all.

:eek:i am in shock with myself. I have just spent £101 on shoes/ boots and £80 on a night out with my kids. My conscience is fair rattled. Had a lovely time though and we all got brill new shoes. I got clark boots ( comfort over style) DD got boots ( style over comfort :rotfl:) and DS got his usual trainers. I actually managed to talk him into a white pair this time rather than black. The boy has no sense of style at all and just grabs the first black pair he finds.
Went to see the three musketeers. It wont win any prizes but it was a good wee film. Home now and going for a wander round afore bed xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Afternoon all. I have had a busy day today. Cleaned 2 houses this week with DD instead of the one we normally do. Earned £50 but had paid it off of tesco in advance of receiving it.
Had a bit of a spend day today but all pretty much essential or almost essential. Bought new pillows for the kids beds as they were reduced to £3.99 each in a closing down sale so I was delighted with that. Their pillows were getting pretty manky to be honest and they were cheapos in the first place so were flat as pancakes. They are all happy now. I spent about £15 on bits and bobs for Christmas. Owed window cleaner money
. Bought petrol £20 and another few pounds for lunch and some juice for DD and I whilst we were working. So funny having a spending diary as I know almost to the penny where all my money goes. I'll bet the majority of my friends have no clue.
I got a call from a colleague last night who is getting married next year and having a hen weekend in Millport. I've never been to Millport and it is a country and western weekend so I am very happy to join them. We will save a few pounds a month so we have it all paid and some spends when we get there. 30 of us going and she is in her 30's so it is a nice mixed age group. I cant wait.
Was staring at my snowball earlier and realised that at the beginning of September my tesco account was at £1172.00 and is now at £227.20 :T How amazing is that. I cannot believe how it has come down. I'm so pleased. It will soon be gone now. It is in my sights and about to be blown away.
I have started thinking about Christmas and I have set myself a maximum budget of £750 . This sounds like loads of money but to be honest it will be tight to come in on that. Spent £16 so far. I'm going to write a list and see how many people I have to buy for so I can have a good idea of what I need to achieve.

I just bought 20 cup cake boxes with Christmas decorations on them. They are the business. £17.99 from e-bay, so less than £1 each. They hold 4 cakes so no boxes of biccies or chocs for all the old aunties this year they will all be getting festive cup cakes. I will save a fortune
. I ususally spend about a fiver on each box of biscuits/ chocolates and I reckon I can bring these in for about £3 per box so that will be a huge saving for me as I do have about 20 people I buy 'wee' mindings for. I am well chuffed.

Wow MIT Im in awe of your progress.
Xmas cakes sound great:j0 -
I think it's my time KP. I hope I can keep up the momentum as it feels fabulous seeing all the figures going down. TBH I have got to do it now or give up and go on a DMP and I really dont want to do that as it will take years to clear it. I want to still have a credit rating at the end of this.
I have gone on and bought cake cases, tree cutters for icing and holly icing cutters. Going to have a wee look see and find out how much the icing is as Aldi have it on offer this week and I may as well grab it if it is a good buy. I bought a wee muffin book today and there are a variety of kinds in it that I can make so that is exciting. I can't wait :rotfl:.5 Year plan. oh well skint again
. I think this must be the way I like it :rotfl:. I actually get stressed when I have money. I did well with the £500 though. Here's how I spent it.
Jackets - DS,DD and I
Boots - DD and I
Trainers- DS
Shoes- Me
New pillows for the kids
Night out for us all
Door mat
DS socks, 2 pairs jeans, chunky cardigan
Birthday pressie for SIL
£77 on gifts for Christmas.
So all in all I am happy with that.
Had a nice wee day shopping with my mum. She then took me to the local hotel which has just reopened after being flooded and the food was totally lush. My mum likes plain food and she ordered chicken stuffed with Haggis, this sat on colcannon mash and had a sauce all over it. Her face was a picture. I thought I was about to lose my cajun chicken but , no, she loved it. After tasting it I was hoping she wasn't going to like it as it was fantastic  Mine was too.
Watching X-Factor now. I vote Dermott to win. I hope everyone else has had a nice day xx

good afternoon. Just been to out of hours docs with DD as she has the most awful cough and kept us both up all night . I shall smother her tonight if she keeps this up. I thought sleepless nights were finished when they grew up :rotfl:. She has a viral infection. So paracetamol and lots to drink.
A NSD today. Probably just as well as I reckon the £20 I have in my purse will have to go into the bank as I think I have overspent. I am mixed up because I paid some things in cash and some by debit card so I have lost the plot a bit. I should just have used cash as I always end up doing this. I annoy myself for being so stupid. Iam learning all the time on this debt free journey and obviously that is part of the reason I ended up in a mess, as I keep taking my eye off the ball .
Just ate chicken in black bean sauce. It was okay. Asda jar of sauce and smart price rice and farmfoods chicken breasts. So this will not make a repeat appearance in our house I'm afraid as we did not like it enough. The smart price rice is awful and I will mose definitely not buy that again. It comes out slimy and lumpy. Me no likey.
I also made a half portion of cup cakes from my new book. They are lush. They are made with ground almonds in them and they really are delicious. So they can go on my list for Christmas boxes. I need to wait on the verdict from the kids mind you. They are my biggest critics.
I really wish I had the energy to clean but my energy levels are really low just now. I have been off of work for a week and I have done bits and pieces but it really needs dusted and polished from the roof down and I just can't get moving. I am off tomorrow as DS has a hospital appointment to check on his ears ( he is getting quite deaf again) so I will have the afternoon to myself. I want to tidy today so that I can come in tomorrow and just work my way round the house until it is done. Should only take a couple of hours once I get started. So that is the plan.
As I said DD has had me up most of the night but fingers crossed I get a sleep tonight. I am also starting the healthy lifestyle way of life again as I reckon what I am eating is playing a huge part in how I am feeling. Actually am looking forward to some nice fresh food5 Year plan. Right I have now totally committed to the weight loss again. I have started a thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3552845 and I have said I want to lose 25lbs by 17th December as I have a fab, brand new black dress that I want to wear to my works night out.
