  • Hi all,

well done on the weight loss... as a former fitness instructor can I say one thing... try and keep doing the regular exercise - even if its brisk walking or running up stairs a few times to keep your heart and lungs used to the work... but nothing which puts extra strain on the shoulder, and try to do some light stretching on it to keep it mobile until the muscle soreness goes.

Back from hollies, and back to being a bit skint.. will be starting a spending diary again and will try and clear a debt in full this month... well, can but try x
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • hi folks. I wasn't even near comp yesterday as had a busy day. Was working at 2nd job in the morning and DD did most of the heavy work as I was so sore. I then took my mum out in the afternoon down to Helensburgh which turned out to be a massive mistake. I had her in her wheelchair and I had to pullher up and down pavements. I bought Voltarol rub for my shoulder (7.50 ) but tit didn't help. By the time I was going home from my mum's it was so painful I stopped in at the local hospital to get it checked. I couldn't even get my top off for them to examine me. Nurse confirmed that it was definitely muscular which was a relief so I came home, I was nearly puking with the pain by now, and doped myself up as much as I could and sat with an ice pack on it. I was nearly crying and the poor kids got quite a fright to see me like that. DS was running about getting pillows, blankets, cups of tea etc :rotfl:. All I wanted was peace and quiet and painkiller oblivion :rotfl:. I then sat with a roasting hot, hot water bottleon it and that eventually seemed to do the trick. I got a good few hours sleep and it feels so much better today. I am going to do as little as I can get away with today and am barking out orders to the kids . I'm keeping shoulder on the move as you suggested SBO and taking co-codamol and ibuprofen to sort out the pain. Fingers crossed I am over the worst. I reckon I will give the classes a miss until at least the end of the week but I will go to the gym tomorrow and do mostly leg exercises.
I have been comfort eating :o as I felt sorry for myself.

So spends have not been too bad. 10 pound to my son for a day out with his friends and 7.50 for voltarol gel for me. I dont intend to spend anything today so hopefully I can stick to that.

Have a nice Sunday folks. Sun is shining here and hopefully it will shine all day and dry my copious amounts of washing. Jelly Bean if I win the lottery you can be debt free too :rotfl:

  • Oh mit
Hope you are on the road to recovery!!! My neck had settled today until i decided to do the ironing. Really silly idea!!!! I find the gel at the chemist but you have to ask for it as its stronger is the 10% ibuprofen gel. Its good stuff. Also try heat and ice pack alternate thats supposed to be good as well.
Funny how it takes yu to hurt yourself to get a cuppa lol mind u dd did bring me one this morning in bed!!!!

  • oh you just cannot beat a cuppa in bed. Problem is I'm always first up :p. I have had a right lazy day today but really needed it. Pain killers knocked me out this afternoon and it was heaven. Shoulder still niggling but OMG so much better. I dont know how people cope in constant pain. It must be h*ll . Thankfully despit being overweight I am normally pretty healthy so I know this will get better soon. Hopefully another big improvement tomorrow.

DS had his friends here this afternoon and they had a fine old time. Couldn't have been that noisy as I slept through most of it. I made them all shepherds pie for dinner and they wolfed it down. I enjoyed sitting having a wee chat with them around the dinner table. They are all wee characters. Geeky types just like my son but I am more than happy with that. Nice polite lads who thanked me for having them and told me how good my cooking was :D.

So a nice NSDt today. No ;ottery win last night so need to work tomorrow but hey ho at least I kind of enjoy my work:rotfl:.

  • Glad you feeling better mit.
I know i checked hubbys tickests twice. just incase lol I dont buy them they nit in my mse budget!!!! Hubby thinks im getting really tight with money i say just careful.

I cant believe it i have had only 2 starbucks in 2 months unreal as i used to have one every day and a cake nearly died when i worked out one week that i had spent 70 quid in one week on them for my work mates as well.
One of my friends who i worked with for 8 years told me i was greedy when she realised i was in debt and stopped buying coffees everyday for everyone!
She didnt hang around after that and left me a note one sunday and put keys through the door! I used to buy loads for everyone even at christmas and even one of my staff i bought a cot for and then just after she had baby she went up road to work cause she was a tenner better off!! learnt me lesson ive alwasy been a bit over generous been my downfall but ive realised now it dosnt bring you hapiness. Sometimes didnt even realise how much i bought lunch for staff when i took them out etc hate to think what i spent over the years!! never mind i just offer my payment for my stuff now if someone going to get a coffee and we go to the cheapie one on the end if we go at all. Thats probably why i got so much over to pay my debts!

  • aww no lottery wins all round then. I can't even get a tenner.

Shoulder still achy but definitely on the mend now. Doubt I will ever do a kettle bell class again though as I am obviously just not fit enough to do that. Still taking pain killers all day and needing a wee top up of them now. Am happy though as I am well on the way to being back to normal :D.

Guy in work told me I looked awful sad today :(. I asked him why and he said I wasn't smiling :rotfl:. My son says that to me too if I don't smile. Apparently I am always smiling and laughing so it is really obvious when I don't. Not too bad a way to be thought of :D. I like being smiley. There's nothing worse than a dour faced git.

I have been naughty today with eats and spends :o. Spent £6.80 on unecessary food and junk. Why oh why do I do this to myself?? I don't get it. I'm intelligent. I know if I eat too much I will put weight on so why do I insist on eating too much !!! Eejit that I am .

I was on right move last night and here is the house of my dreams

Wow to the house! Q. What do you do with 2 kitchens!!! Suppose you could give one to the kids and have a nice clean one all to yourself :)
