  • Evening all. End of the month today. Payday tomorrow :D

I sold my old gold today and got £280 for some old tat and my wedding rings :j:j. I could probably have got more if I had shopped around but tbh I just couldn't be bothered and I had never thought that my old junk would be worth anything until my friend told me to look on e-bay. I nearly died when I saw the amounts. I could defo have got more on e-bay but after being stung before I was scared to take a chance with that amount of cash. So I popped it into my account tonight :D:money:. I gave DD £40 to buy new trainers as she is badly needing them and I paid £239 from my overdraft and used the other couple of pounds and my child benefit and paid another £35 to tesco for my 100 day challenge. I am so excited as I can pay off my overdraft tomorrow and that is another debt in the debt bin and one step closer to DFD :D. In total this month I have paid £1061.48 to my debts . Trying really hard not to think what I could have done with that and considering we were away on hols I'm sorry to pat my own back but I think that is bl**dy amazing considering my income. Go me !!! :p.

Totals spent for this month are as follows:
Lunches £80.05 up by £80.05 on last month
    Gifts £49.25 up by £18.25
    Miscellaneous £88.97 up by £40.49
Petrol £135 up by £15 ( but went on hols)
Socialising £78.20 down by £45.60 ( but £500 approx spent over and above this on hols)
    Clothes £94.50 down by £14.50
Food £253.93 down by £97.36 but I defo spent more than that on food whilst we were away.

I love having these figures to hand as they really show me what I have done right and wrong during the month and being the figures geek that I am I cannot wait until the end of the year to add it all up and see where my cash went :o.

Anyway huge post which I apologise for but I am a happy lassie tonight and going by my snowball I should have no problems clearing tesco by the end of this year.
I'm going to pop £150 onto my ASDA card tomorrow as I get 5% discount through my work so I may as well take advantage of it. Ah life is good.

Well done - things are going really well for you at the moment, I find it exciting hearing about those totals going down. Go MIT!
    Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62

  • Thanks Sea it excites me mega too. £191 paid to my overdraft and that is it at £0 :j:j. 1 more debt bites the dust. I am so delighted. Tesco watch out as I am coming to get ya. 6 debts to go but hopefully get rid of tesco by Christmas. That's the plan although quite ambitious. I can guarantee I will give it my all though.

I only lost 1lb today which was slightly disappointing as I have exercised really hard all week and also tried really hard to stick to healthy eating. Hey ho though it's 10lbs in 2 weeks so I cant complain really.

I was trying to be all professional in work today and was doing my duster about the bad language. I said I was going to get a swear box and charge everyone a £1 a f*ck. OOPS. You can imagine the comments :rotfl:they ranged from 'you're selling yourself cheap' to 'overcharging a bit there' :rotfl:. They were then saying they wanted a price list on the wall so they could see what words they could afford to use. I dont think they were taking me seriously somehow :rotfl:. Gits !

The comments re swearing today were hilarious, whole section was in an uproar as I am the boss and they reckoned it was just too funny for me to make such a faux pas. Dunno why it was such a surprise as I can be right ditzy half the time :o

I just sold my gold in one of those shops that offer to buy it. I didnt shop around at all which is really naughty of me but I am a lazy moo.

Hi MIT - massive well done on clearing your OD, there's something so very satisfying when your bank balance climbs into the black and stays that way!!! For me it was a real sign that I was winning the battle...what a great way to start the new month xx :j

May you are right it is very empowering to get rid of a whole debt and very satisfying to see balance in black. Black is my new favourite colour. It was red :o.

My poor DD failed her driving test today:(. Some eejit stopped dead in front of her and reversed into a parking space and she had to swerve so because she didnt deal with it too well she failed ( rightly so) but how unlucky was she for that to happen. Shame. I asked her if she got the license plate of the car so I could chase them down and sort them out but unfortunately no. She cant put in again for a few weeks as her dad and his GF ( the driving instructor) are off to Florida for 3 weeks . No bother to them . Wouldn't kill him to take his bl**dy kids on one of these trips. Never mind they are used to it by now. I said to DD tonight 'aye no bother to them' and she answered 'well mum she was left money in a will so why shouldn't they go' That was my cue to shut up :rotfl:. I dont even know why I commented as I couldn't give a monkeys and I have never had any desire to go to Florida.

Spent 111 ponds tonight in ASDA but have bought tonnes of stuff and have food for at least 2 weeks except for fresh food next week and some fruit on Monday. So 350 budget for food this month and hopefully can stick to that.

Couldn't go to my exercise class tonight as I am having to take loads of pain killers for my shoulder as it is mightily achy. I'm sure it will get better soon but thought it best to avoid the kettle bells tonight. Any way am off to bed so good night xx

  • Evening folks. I am shattered tonight. I think it is all the pain killers i am taking as well as the fact that I hardly slept last night due to the pain. So long as I top up my painkillers I am okay but cancelled todays class too as I am in no fit state to exercise.

Paid £38 to Tesco for 100 day challenge. I am on track so far to manage that again. Quite exciting really.

I should really be doing my housework tonight but I have zero energy. I need to pick up my mum later as she isout with friends for dinner so I'll get her and bring her home. I was out for lunch today at the local Indian and OMG it was fab. It was a buffet and I ate loads and loads. I especially love the starters and can stuff my face on them so much I cannot eat my main :o. I always manage the ice-cream though :D.

My colleague is off now and away for 4 weeks to get married. This means I have 2 teams and I will be just about dead when she comes back :rotfl:. I cant keep up with what I have just now. Oh well never mind. I'm sure I will be okay.

Trouble is with pain killers they do wipe it out of you mine send me a bit crazy my staff think im ignoring them but really im just spaced out.
