Good morning
. Been up and out at gym this morning for a step aerobic class. Am I feeling all energised now? Am I ****!! Fill in the **'s as you wish :rotfl:. Bl**dy knackered. This is absolutely the last time I ever want to do this as I am getting way too old now. I cant keep taking ibuprofen every time I go to a class .
I'm off work tomorrow for the bank holiday and kids are in schoolResult
. Going to go into my mum's mind you as doctor is coming out to see her and I want to see what she says. We are concerned as her leg is very swollen and apparently because her skin is so thin it can burst . This would be a nightmare as her immune system and healing times are non existant and it would never heal. She is going downhill the poor soul and you can see a difference every week. I am just going to live for the moment with her and not to think too hard re the future. It's pants though. Never mind I will just make sure she has fun and can get out as much as possible whilst she still can. If doc comes early tomorrow and it is dry then I might take her out a wee walk along to my aunties house. She has wheelchair access so she can get in no bother. We'll see.
Chicken casserole tonight for dinner and I will make a shepherds pie for tomorrow night for after Tae Kwon Do. So much better when the food is organised in advance as DD puts it in the oven and it is ready to eat when we come in the door. Going to spend today doing laundry and ironing and trya nde get up to date with that. I'll get everywhere tidy too and then when the kids go out tomorrow I can run the hoover and mop round before I go to mums and everything in my world will be good. Have a lovely Sunday everyone xx

Nearly the end of the month for me and I was having a wee stare at my snowball ( as I am wont to do ) and all is well.
Debts are as follows.- Sony - NIL
- Overdraft £430
- Tesco £1,207.77
- Virgin £3,330.79
- Barclaycard £2,955.85
- Bank Loan £2,603.60
- Halifax £6,263.62
- Mum £900
- Argos NIL
- Car NIL
CC's were £16,072.85 at the beginning of the year and are now £14,658.03 so I have paid off £1414.82 in total. My car was £1,200 o/s and that has gone.I can now put that money into my debts so they I should really start seeing onroads to my cc debt. Argos was about £700 and that has gone. I've taken months off of my dfd
. So everything is going great guns. I want rid of my overdraft and Tescos by the end of the year and I reckon if I really focus I just might manage it.I am so motivated this year in all things and life is really getting exciting again. Just need to meet Mr Right and it would be just perfect. Gavin Hastings could fill in whilst I wait for him :rotfl:. In the meantime I will do the dishaes and the ironing

Thanks Sea. Not at all :rotfl:but I am a trier (sp?). Was looking at my post on new years day this year1.1.11 huh!! THat must be a sign of some sort. Well I am going to take it as one anyway and treat 2011 as a new beginning in many ways.
and so far I have done. I have had ups and downs but money wise I have pretty mech been on th eup. Determination is high as I know things will be untenable if I allow them to go on until after the kids income stops i.e. tax credits, child benefit and maintenance. So I have got to do this or I will be up the creek without a paddle. And I aint a swimmer :rotfl:.
So a NSD today as I have only gone out to the gym and back so I am happy with that. We had a fabulous dinner of chicken casserole, baked potatoes and cauliflower. Was fab. Used a packet sauce, cost 36p from Morrisons and was really nice. Caught DS licking his plate.
Payday on Wednesday and I am a saddo excited person as I can use my car payment this month towards my debt and it will be the overdraft that will get it this month. I can't wait to score that one off. It will benefit me twofold as it will save me £10 charges each month but it will also be there for any emergency arising although I will not use it and next year for one of the 100 day challenges I am going to try and get an emergency fund put behind me. I always panic if I think something has broken or if kids need something and I need to have some peace of mind with a wee safety net of cash. Well that's the plan

Afternoon folks. I had today off due to the bank holiday and wanted to work miracles in the house. Hmm, the best laid plans and all that :rotfl:. Waited on the doc coming to my mum and waited and waited. Was 2.45 before she came and I had sat there since 11.00am. Got home after getting prescription for mum from chemist at 3.30pm . Never mind she enjoyed the company and my dust will still be dusty regardless. Doc said she has another infection hanging about and changed some of her other medication about to try and alleviate some other problematic symptoms. She can't really do anything for the swelling in my mum's legs as she is so unsteady on her feet that if her diuretics are increased then she may get dizzy and disorientated which could result in more falls . So swollen leg will have to stay. I walked doc out to her car and she said each time mum gets an infection then the scar tissue gets worse. I asked her if there were any time scales etc but she said mum could go on for long enough or she could get an infection theat would kill her in days. Such a wee shame for her. I would hate to be stuck the way she is. Never mind, she is here and she is happy for the moment so that'll do me for now.
So spends for today. £6 for kids lunches otherwise a NSD. DS doesn't want to go to Tae Kwon Do tonight as he feels shattered. I was booked in for boxercise whilst he was doing that but as it is another town I have changed my class to Kettlercise. I am crazy to go there again :rotfl:as it was sheer hell
. Never mind. My jeans are fitting me beautifully now, albeit a size 18, but having been a size 24 ( and they were choking me) then I am happy with an 18. Well happy for now

Your mum sounds a trooper the way she is so cheerful despite her problems. My parents are pretty much housebound too and I'm impressed with the way they deal with it. We took lunch over to them today and did some jobs in the house and garden. Old age can be so cruel I really hope not to have a long slow decline myself.

hi guys. I'm pretty much crawling in here after my exercise class but I managed most of it. It was a killer but I completed more than last week so that must be good
.
Sea my mum is a trooper but I reckon its down to sheer stubborness and acting the way she feels is the correct way to act. She has great faith in God which keeps her going and she really has no choice unfortunately, I see my job as trying to make things as pleasant as I can in the meantime. I am good to her with my time and she is very generous to the kids and I with her money so we are a good team.
Jelly bean, I went to Benidorm last year with my friends for a long weekend. I had to get an extension for my seatbelt on the plane and I thought I would die with mortification. I had bruises on my belly when I came home from trying to manage without getting the extension but I was in agony and my friend eventually asked for it for me. Another couple of things happened around the same time and I decided to stop faffing and sort myself out once and for all. So between November and February I lost about 2 stones on my own but then got stuck and put on about half a stone between then and March. I then joined weight watchers and got to 3.5 stones off but I hated the diet and again reached a plateau over the summer and put on 8lbs ( not too bad really). When I came back from hols I just couldnt wait to get back into the healthy eating as the nice clothes I could now get into were getting tight on me and I had got rid of all my bigger sizes . Panic? Yes I did. I didnt want to go back to weight watchers as I wasn't fussed on it so I joined a program at my gym. It costs £50 for 10 weeks ( upfront) but you go to a weigh in class once per week, you get unlimited access to the gym and swimming and also can attend as many exercise classes as you want . I lost 9lbs my first week and get weighed on Wednesday. I feel fantastic and my motivation is sky high. I am in pain from the exercise but I really am loving how fit I am feeling even after a couple of weeks and because I have paid upfront for it I am forcing myself to take advantage as much as my body can cope with. Treating it as my own mini 'biggest loser' to see how well I can do in 10 weeks.
