  • thats the problem though isnt it, when you are busy you forget. My DH has it sorted, he preps it all on a night and picks it up on a morning. While he doing those things I tend to be settling DS on a night and pegging out washing or popping on airer in the morning.

  • I just feel like having a bl**dy tantrum:mad:. My car has broken down. Completely dead:mad:. I can't believe what bad luck this is. I just paid last bl**dy payment on it. Was meant to go to an exercise class tonight and also to my mum's to sort her out for bed and am stuck. TBH for work purposes I don't particularly need a car as I could walk down and get train but for 2nd job and for looking after my mum I absolutely need it. I could cry.

I have green flag through my insurance so they will tow me to a garage but I am sh*tting myself about how much it will cost me. I have £120 in my savings account to pay towards my overdraft and I will be furious if I need to use that. In fact I will be lucky if that is all it costs. I only have £49 other than that to do me until Tuesday so not a lot of scope for manoeuvere(sp). Argh! I wish I hadn't bothered joining that shape up class last night as I could do with the £50 and I have no way of getting to the classes anyway :(.

Oh no, that's really rubbish news!!
You're doing well if all your having is a tantrum...for me the car or the washing machine breaking is enough to send me into total meltdown!!
I really hope that it's nothing serious and that the repair costs are minimal xx

  • Evening all . Feel better today. Hardly slept last night though i was so peed off. BUT my friend took me into work this morning and he reckons it is my alternator. I have booked the car into the garage and just need to phone Green flag to get it towed. If they won't tow it for any reason then my friend and my brother will get it there somehow to save me the costs. The best news though is my mum has paid for a hire car for me for a week :D. It's a lovely wee car. A matiz and I am loving it. It's an automatic so a nice lazy few days driving for me. My mum knows she is stuffed if I cannot get to her house. Such a shame and I feel guilty that yet again she is spending her money on me. But then I remind myself that no way in this world would I hire a car in this situation so it's not really me anyway.

I got to boxercise class tonight and I reckon I will not be able to move in the morning. I can feel my body seizing up already :rotfl:.

I got £30 today for cleaning tomorrow and £50 maintenance so I now have £200 towards car repairs. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that it wont be more than that. I only spent £28.22 on shopping this week so hopefully I will manage to get by on that until next weekend. I have lunch money for the kids for all of next week and I will make a pot of soup for me. I have enough food to do us all week as well , I just need to be organised and we will be fine. I met my best mate in ASDA and her trolley was overflowing. Mine was realtively full and I said to her ' How much did that cost you?' £131 she answered . She didn't really have much more than me. Her jaw hit the deck when I said what I had spent :rotfl:. Outside the shop we met my DS who was with his dad and although I have no feelings for him other than contempt I was raging that I was totally sweaty and red faced as I went to ASDA straight from boxercise and I must have smelt lush.........NOT :rotfl:. It's always the way isn't it.

Anyway I am in much better fettle tonight and I can't do a damn thing about the car so no point in fretting over it. Bring on the weekend :D

  • hi folks. Well a lovely wee day spent with my mum today. When it's only her and I we have a fine old time. When the kids are in the mix it is stress city . I introduced her to home bargains and she loved it.Bought my first stocking filler for DD. Huge rollers for ehr hair at the grand old price of 99p. Told her £1 was her limit this year ;). I bought all my Christmas cards last year and also loads of paper. I am sure I have the majority of my special cards as well. I bet I am still running around on Christmas eve delivering them :D.

Paid my next lot of £35 to Tesco card. That's me paid my snowball amount and an additional £73.94 so I am well pleased :D. Hopefully manage to pay some more off before end of month.

I was thinking today about the money for the car. I reckon rather than use my savings that I have for my overdraft I will borrow it from my mum. The reason for this is that my mum gives me it interest free whereas my overdraft is costing me £10 per month so really there's no question about it is there.

Today I got a letter from British Gas telling me my service package is going up from £30 to £36 per month . I got a letter the other day telling me that my boiler is so out of date that they are no longer making parts for it . So I have decided that there is no point in keeping this going so I am going to cancel it tomorrow. I would be paying £427 for the year and then they probably couldn't fix my heating anyway. I was going to put it away for an emergency but then thought no, I will use it for debts. It is going to knock 2 months off of my dfd :D adding it to my snowball. Lots of thoughts going around my head tonight
