flip me MIT! Definately make sure they replace them for you - thats really not on! Poor DS for thinking up stories lol - doesn't he realise mums can read people like a book? haha - I only learnt that a few years ago myself though!

Let us know what the shop says!
Life is what you make it.
  • Hi weeclick I'm surprised he hasn't cottoned onto the fact that I know immediately if he's lying lol. Firstly he is well watched in school as he was badly bullied last year so I would have known immediately if anyone had touched him and secondly he is a really sh*t liar :rotfl:.They changed them no bother and double checked the seams in the new ones to make sure they are okay so no bother there. Good job as I was in fighting mode :o. Too skint these days to take a hit like that.

I've had a lovely wee day today with my mum and DS . Went into local card shop and got 4 boxes of Christmas cards, 2 packs labels, 2 rolls paper, some special Christmas cards and 2 birthday cards for £8 :D. We then went to Marks and Spencers. I rarely shop there and it's only the food one we have, but my mum had a voucher and wanted to spend it so we went. Big surprise. Got there as the guy marked down a pack of macaroni and one of spag bol to 50p :j. Bought them and all their sauce jars were half price so got some of them too. Went to ASDA and 99% stuck to my list, just added a 75p bag of chocolate which this week is medicinal :p. Was £37.47 in ASDA and £4.41 in Marks so all in all I was £41.88. A wee bit more than I wanted to be tbh but I could probably make what I have bought last about 10 days rather than a week. We'll see how it goes.

  • Well my 'darling' son ( nb darling is dripping with sarcasm) and I walked his mate home, in the snow I may add. THey said they knew a shortcut and that it was easy. LIke a fool I believed them!!!!!!!! THey took me down a hill that was like the side of a mountain. FIlmed me for the whole hill ( for you tube you understand) Then I had to climb under, yes that is under, a fence. AT least they told me to watch out for the nails. It was bloody dark!! How could I look for nails? THe whole time the two of them were rolling about laughing at me. 12yr old boys  they eat worms

  • NSD today:j I'm happy to report. Not only that but my mum gave me a massive sirloin steak yesterday so that is my dinner tonight with lots of mushrooms and onions. DD won't eat red meat but I will give DS a bit of it. Having baked potato with it and will give kids pasta and baked potato for theirs. Ironing done. 2 loads washing done. Most of downstairs hoovered. Tax disc bought online , paid for by mum :D.

My brother is putting in my oven and hob tomorrow. I cannot wait. I have not had a grill that works for years.

I have £16 towards lunches for this week but I need £30. Will need to use some money from child benefit on Tuesday to make up shortfall. I have £15 in change so will use that at weekend towards shopping if I need to Going out FRiday night with work as the section I am in is disbanding after 2 yrs and we are having a final shindig ( party for non scots lol) we all go on training come next Monday so may not work together again :(. I'll also need to get ingredients for tablet and make them a wee batch for Friday before we stop. We are having food after work then a few drinks but I am skint so not sure yet what to do. I could take car and not drink so would only have couple soft drinks and food. Cost would be < £20. Or I could say sod it and enjoy the night at a potential cost of almost £50. Decisions, decisions. Both are resolutions I have made. 1) PAY DEBTS 2) have a life lol.

hahahahahahaha your son has a wicked sense of humour lol - Im ashamed to say its probably something I would have done to my mum if I had the chance! I once played "teenage kicks" on guitar to my granny, she thought I had wrote it, I never corrected her and she ran around town telling everyone about the wonderful song I wrote - I had to give in and tell her after she told a friend who works for a music company and we both fell about laughin - thats probably the worst thing I have ever done hehe.

As for the work party - go and enjoy! Work mates are one thing you can't live without - work would certainly feel alot longer everyday and as you say you might not work together again so just go for it! We always seem to find a way of finding money when we need it!
