phew!! Managed to evade a prison sentence.
We have been in bank for 90 minutes and most of that time the poor girl whoi helped us was on the phone trying to deal with it. My dd says she feels as if she is her new BFFL :rotfl:. Upshot is that her money was paid into a random mastercard account and is just sitting there. The bank have to fax the mastercard company so that they can refund to DD and hopefully that is that. They are also going to refund the telephone costs she has had. The girl in the branch is also going to check out why there are random payees on the account. She was excellent and it was all done with a smile so I made DD get her some chocolates as a thank you gesture. Everyone is now happy. I am quite assertive mind you :rotfl:. I'm never cheeky but I think all the years dealing with difficult customers has taught me how to be a customer and how to get what I want without shouting, swearing, cheek etc.
Just bread to but today so I have only spent £1.

I've found you
....I needed to see how you budget to succeed in the 100 day challenge... LOL
Massive well done on clearing your car loan....this is where snowballing comes into it's own!
I've not managed to read right back through the thread but from what I've seen I can't help but think how lucky your children are to have a Mum like you. You need to be made of steel to deal with the trials and tribulations of adolescent children on your own and a bucket full of debt...I take my hat off to you!!!

Nonnie the girl in the bank was delighted when I gave her the chocs, she had a big cheesey grin on her face.
Hi May2013, thanks very much for the comment re me as a mum, that's really nice to say that. Sometimes I beat myself up as I feel I am stretched too thin and the kids don't get much time with me but that's where the holiday next week will come into its own and I cannot wait. Don't even try and read it all as this is version 3  so it would take you forever. I have been here twice before and given up but this time I just can't . DD leaves school next year so the tax credits for her will stop amd also the child benefit. I will still have her at home so I really need to get rid of this debt as soon as I can so I can support her and DS through college/ uni etc. The last thing I want to have to do is get a second job because I am still up to my armpits in debt. If I end up with a second job for treats then that's a different story. But at the minute it's full steam ahead to see what I can manage by next June when all the changes to finance kicks in . It makes me feel sick every time I think about it so it's an amazing motivator.
I used the HG potatoes tonight with turkey goujons and they were yum yum. I have also just finished potting out the flowers. They look lovely. The rest of the garden is a pit mind you but around my front step looks nice :rotfl:. I am mega tired tonight so an early bed is calling me I reckon. Need to pick DD up from work first of all.

I worry myself sometimes. I have chuntered on for months about seeing some of the jazz festival, the street artists etc whilst we are in Edinburgh next week. I have been really looking forward to it ( the kids not so much). I just went on to check weather etc next week and what is on in the city and the bloody festival finishes the day we arrive :rotfl:. I am such an eejit :rotfl:. Not too bothered mind you as the fringe festival is on and the kids will probably enjoy that type of thing much more than the jazz. Oops. Silly me :cool:5 Year plan.
