That's such a shame for your DS, I know that my DH didn't have the best relationship with his dad but what it has done is make him an absolutely fantastic father to ours. I think it's just simply knowing that he isn't going to treat ours the way he was treated, sad really
I was thinking of you at 4.30am, don't worry, nothing weird! DD came through to tell us that there was a fly buzzing in her room and DH spent the next 10 mins trying to kill the bu@@er - needless to say I let him get on with it lol0 -
I know what you mean about ex husbands, mines as flaky as old paint, and changes how much access he wants depending on which woman he is with.
DD2 is starting to want to go less and less.
I get nothing from him, and let the CSA handle it. Sometimes he buys DD2 clothes, but its rare.
the baking sounds fabulous. I love my baking night now. once a week - hammering the flour bag..
its the new nightclubbing!!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Good Morning.:rotfl:Sorry for invading your thoughts at an ungodly hour Nonnie but it did make me laugh. My ex had a rotten relationship with his dad as well ( he was an alcoholic) but unfortunately it just made him a very selfish person. His brother on the other hand is an amazing dad and husband. Trust me to pick the wrong one
. I just don't get how some men can just walk away like that as I hate not seeing my kids all the time and if they are away for any reason I miss them like crazy. So the thought of not seeing either of them for 4 weeks ( and sometimes more) is just not even thinkable as far as I am concerned.
Anyway busy day for me today. I'm taking DS for uniform, taking him and mum for lunch, taking mum to her consultant and to Morrisons for her shopping for the next couple of weeks. Then take DS to Tae Kwon Do so will be out all day.
DD gets her Higher results tomorrow so I am feeling slightly nervous about that for her as I know fine well that she did not work as hard as she should have done and will be devastated if they are really poor. She has a driving lesson today with ex's partner so hopefully she will get the money from her. Fingers crossed. Ok am off for a shower and to start this day of madness. Take care and see you later xx

Busy day as I predicted. Nice and enjoyable though.
Spent a fair bit mind you but all necessary spending except fro £21.05 for lunch. Not quite under the £20 I wanted it to be but hey ho.
Got DS 3 shirts, 6 prs socks, 2 prs trousers and a jumper for school for £37.50 :j. Don't you just love George at ASDA. Good job my boy doesn't care about labels or things like that. Still to get joggers, white t-shirt, new boxers, trainers, a bag and a jacket.
DD got the £120 from ex today so I was really chuffed with that. It definitely loosens things a bit cash wise for me.
Getting nervous now for DD's exam results tomorrow. She has been getting told from friends all day how they have got on and the girl she usually gauges herself on has done really badly so she is sweating :rotfl:. Nothing we can do now but .5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

:j:j:jmy car loan is paid off :j:j:j. Am down to 7 debts now :rotfl:. Best thing though is that it releases £156 per month to throw at debts that accrue more interest. I really feel as if I am getting somewhere now as that is one of my 'biggie' debts. I just need to hope now that my car will last until the end of 2013 so I can pay everything off before I need another one. A car is really essential to me unfortunately as my life just couldn't happen without one.
Not got much planned today. Waiting on postie coming with DD's results. She's trying to act all nonchalant and keeps saying she's not nervous but she keeps looking for the postie :rotfl:. I need to go into my mum's tonight with her dinner but other than that I'm just going to have a lazy one. I'll work hard tomorrow5 Year plan. She has been in tears wee soul as she expected an A and 3B's. Hard lesson to learn for them that these things don't just happen and it is down to studying hard which truth be told she didn't do enough. I'm happy enough with those though and we will have takeaway tonight to celebrate. Such a lot of pressure on them. She still has next year to get the results she needs so not a huge deal.5 Year plan. ((Hugs)) to your daughter.
Yes, a lot of pressure on kids today. Tell her not worry (too much) and enjoy the takeaway x0 -
will do HL. She was sitting on my knee ( all 5'8 of her) and sobbing her wee heart out. She'll be fine though.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
