Happy Holidays! :j
Hope your mum is doing well.
Loving the fact that you dream about all that extra money when you are debt free - thought I was the only nutter who dreams like that - I've even built an extension on in my wee head - not gonna happen but I love dreaming!0 -
We're heading off to Seton sands over Edinburgh way. It's a cheapo caravan on a Haven site ( paid for by my wee mum
) so that'll keep us all amused. I want to spend a couple of days in Edinburgh as the jazz festival is on that week too and the street acts and groups etc are amazing to see. We will go to Edinburgh castle and the new national museum that has just opened. I can't wait. We will go on 8th to 12th so just 4 nights but it will be fab. A friend is coming up to spend the day at the beginning of the week and another friend is coming through for a wee overnight at the end of the week so it will be fabulous. Nice couple of days with just the kids and I and a couple of days with fab friends. Perfect
Nonnie my dreams are what keeps me going. I look at folks houses and gardens and think 'one day' and I mean it. One day I will have a new kitchen, bathroom etc but only if I can save and pay cash for it :money:.And I mean that too
. Never again will I allow this to happen to me. You never know your extension just might materialise some time. Keep dreaming.
CSA called me today. They have ex's payslips etc so I should hear within the next 9 weeks what my assessment is. Fingers crossed it is more than the usual fiver :rotfl:. I dream about that too :rotfl:. About £300 per month would be hitting fantasy levels :rotfl:
Payday today :j. Went a bit mad but hey ho. I spent £22 on cr*p. Sweets for my staff, lunch, ice cream and chips for DS and I tonight as we went to have a nosey around the folk festival and the sun is shining brightly. I am so looking forward to going there tomorrow as it is crazy bedlam but massive fun. I will have a sober afternoon listening to the pipe bands etc with my DS,DD and my mum and then a debauched evening with loads of friends and mrs cider nom nom :rotfl:.

Have a great weekend0 -
Hi folks. Slightly tender head here :rotfl:. Or a sair heed as we say in Scotland
Mrs cider and I got on like a house on fire last night. I had an amazing day. Took my mum to the folk festival in the afternoon with the kids, my brother etc and she loved it. Sat in a pub beer garden watching a folk group ( who were brilliant) and the pipe bands
, I like a man in a kilt
. Even better when it is lots of men in kilts
. The sun shone all day and it was great to be there. I took my mum a wee bit shopping and then she bought us all KFC for dinner and I settled her and DS in her house and bailed out for the evening. Amazing night. I mentioned a while ago about my friend whose husband had died and I dragged her out last night, we met up with folks from work but then we met my other friend who got married recently and we had an absolute blast. The two of them got on like a house on fire and we laughed all night. It was great to see my friend laughing her head off as she has been having a tough time since her husband died. Happy times.
Spent a fortune mind you. But it was worth every penny. I'm going again tonight but I am taking the car with me so I'll behave myself :rotfl:. Need to go and collect my car from Balloch as I abandoned it there last night. Have a lovely Sunday everyone xx

First day of my 2 weeks holiday today
:D
Took me until 7pm last night to get my act together and get out the door. I so nearly didn't go and I ended up having another fantastic night. Great music, great company, huge laughs and only spent £9. I took the car and today I am so glad that I made that decision as I am full of energy and going to get stuck into my housework and washing.
Our whole place is overrun with flies. Everyone is going off their heads with them. I eventually gave in yesterday and went to buy fly spray but nowhere has any as they have sold out of it . They are extremely annoying and make you feel dirty.
I spent £22 in co-op yesterday as I bought some bits and bobs to keep us going this week and some munchies for the kids to keep them happy. I really need to not spend this week as I want to keep as much as I can for my wee holiday next week. Ok am off to start at the bottom of this house and work my way up and clean, clean, clean :cool:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Bloody flies are costing me money now . £2.50 for window sticky things and £1.99 for spray .
Started clearing up and have told kids that all dishes are to be done immediatley and bins to be emptied every day. The local chat now is how to kill flies :rotfl:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Mince and tatties for dinner  soup in the slow cooker and smells amazing . Trying to empty my freezer etc before I go away as I would like to stock up with nice fresh stuff when we get back as I am sometimes suspicious of how long things have lain in there :rotfl:.
I have £65 in Morrisons stamps. I always save a couple of pounds per week and use some at holidays and rest at Christmas. After I buy uniforms etc I will see what the funds are like and decide whether the stamps are going on holiday with me to be used or if I will use them when I get back. I am trying so hard not to spend lots of money but uniforms are essential unfortunately.
Flies are a lot less now that I have gone on a killing spree of them. Don't really like being a murdered but they are dive bombing my head and when they landed on my roll at lunchtime then that was their death warrant well and truly signed.
My DS is getting mega excited about his hols lol. Even at nearly 14 he is trying to be all cool about it but today I had a full conversation with him about what we would do and where we would go and he was speaking in squeaks by the end of it he was so excited :rotfl:so cute.5 Year plan. Gah to the flies! I hate them with a passion, so I would definitely be on a killing spree!!
We had an invasion of fruit flies earlier in the summer.....pesky little beggars they were :mad:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
2 flies dead this morning already . I don't think my chest is too keen on the fly spray either as it is definitely protesting. I don't have asthma but I have many allergies so I will use it very sparingly
.
Just did my sums for the month. By the weekend with various money dripping into my accounts I will have £515. Sounds lots but I need to buy DS's uniform and trainers from that, use as spending money for 5 days away and feed us for the next 2 weeks so it will be tight. Oh well never mind.. That's the story of my life and at least we will have a really nice holiday.
We are going to go to Edinburgh castle whilst we are there so my friend is giving me her historic scotland card so that we can get in for free.
I said to my mum I would take her for lunch tomorrow . I could kick myself now but she is always treating us so I will just try and get it for under £20 and suck it up.
I have made soup so that is lunch sorted for me for the rest of the week. Kids probably wont eat it but they can find something for a sandwich and be happy ( or not :rotfl:) with that. Not much planned for today and I will be happy to just chill. Hope everyone has a nice day xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
