Hi MIT,
Enjoy your holiday and relax, the money can be tackled when you are back, everyone needs a time out, found your diary and subscribed.
Have a lovely chill day :-)Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Sounds like you are really wearying for you holiday now - they are always the best ones I think cos you really appreciate them the most!
I really haven't seen much in the way of flies this year, or come to think of it bees or wasps - thank god! I agree that flies are very dirty - although hoping the kitties (that are growing at an alarming rate!!) will take care of any insect problem I may come across
I know what you mean about treating your mum, mine is always so good to us and I try to treat her every now and again, but it's soo hard when you are trying to stick within budget, feel like I am turning into a miserable git with money :rotfl:
Enjoy the rest of your day, I'm treating the kids to the cinema (well obviously I'm not that miserable!) mainly because dd had to get 2 teeth out yesterday and another one tomorrow and another 5 in about 6 weeks time - all baby teeth, and its so she can get braces in quicker. But lordly lord it's so not fun watching your child getting that kind of work done - bless her, she blethered a load of nonsense but was really brave - roll on tomorrow0 -
Aww Nonnie your poor girl. I used to work in a dentist for a number of years and always felt really sorry for the kids getting teeth out. We used to do general anaesthetic sessions in those days but so far as I know they are not allowed these days. My DD had to get 2 adult teeth out to get her braces as she was bit rabbit like :rotfl:. Teeth are gorgeous now mind you after 2 years of train tracks. DS could be doing with getting them as well but his oral hygiene is terrible so I am putting that off for now to see what happens. He just has a slightly crossed tooth at the front so it's not a huge deal. I hope you enjoy the pics. WHat are you going to see?
Skint but optimistic, I am having a chill out day but started looking at houses and then at kitchens. My kitchen is about 30 years old and I loathe it. I desperately want a new one but there's no chance for a few years yet. I want white units with a wooden top. I have started listing what features I want and they include, pan drawers, larder cupboard, wine rack and a stretchy tap :rotfl:. I am easy pleased
.
Wel b*gger me but DD just called and said her dad is giving her £120 tomorrow for her and DS's uniforms :eek:. I am stunned and will believe it when I see it. He has never as much as bought them a pair of socks in the past. But :j:jif he does this as it will ease my purse strings somewhat.

Had pasta and HM cheese sauce with HM chips for tea and OMG it was bl**dy fantastic. Now there's nothing weight watchers about that meal lol.
I have bananas going off and a bag of apples and one of pears so I am going to look at recipes and see how I can use them up as I seriously do not want to eat them as they are. Am away on the hunt to see what I can find. I'll hopefully make you all drool later xx

I'm thinking good lotto number thoughts for you (well your daughter)!
Went to see Zookeeper and I must admit it was really funny, kids loved it too, well worth the money. I really like going to the cinema and I'm making the most of the saturday/sunday morning deal at the odeon as much as possible. The film is usually a few months old, you pay £2.50 per child and mum and dad go free!! And the premier seats don't cost a penny more - bargain!! :j
Anyway hope your enjoying your holiday so far and I'm definitely coming to your house for dessert - sound fab, oh can I have some custard to go with it
Ps Can't wait to hear if dd gets the money from dad, wouldn't that just be amazing, maybe he'll buy you your new kitchen0 -
Glad you had a nice time Nonnie. Nothing better than a wee trip to the pics with the kids. I used to go to the Saturday morning shows with my 2 as well when they were younger. It was a great bargain.
My dd better get the money from her dad as I gave her it today to go to Glasgow for her uniform so I will be stuffed if he doesn't come up with the goods:eek: but I reckon he will as he has stated an amount and knows she will be looking for it. I can only hope that after all these years he is seeing sense. He hasn't seen DS for 4 weeks mind you but I just don't get involved any more.5 Year plan.
