what a lovely day. The tall ships were quite a sight to see. It was mad busy though adn I am shattered.
The parking close by the event was £15  so we parked about 40 minutes away and walked along. Parking cost £3. I took packed lunches for us all and kids spent their own money on any junk food they wanted. Bought some more juice in ASDA on way home as I needed change for parking so that was another £1.50. Was £15 for petrol but all in all a cheap day out and the sun shone all day. My face is burnt to a crisp.

I have just spent the last hour reading my first ever diary. OMG what the eff is wrong with me?? I still have more or less the same amount of credit card debt I had in 2006  granted the car loan has gone down and so has secured loan but !!!!!! how stupid am I? I hate to think of how much money I have paid off in that time. Seriously guys this is the last time ever. I really mean it. I had posts about delivering thomson directories, yellow pages, son with suspected brain tumour ( thank god it wasn't) all sorts of memories but I am gutted that CC wise I am actually no further forward in 5 years:eek:. Oh well yet another lesson learnt and such a harsh one too.
Ok am all motivated again:D. There's no way that in another 4 years I want to be on here saying the same things again. I would like to be paying off my mortgage by then. But one step at a time.

Took another small step to help me and cancelled my direct debit to cancer research of £5 per month. I feel bad about it but I need the money just now.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Good Morning
. The sun is shining again here so 2 loads of washing out and 1 more in the machine. Hopefully the sun will continue to shine until it is all dried.
Going to clear out my sheds today and get broken things to the local skip and see what there is avaialble for a car boot sale/ e-bay. I have quite a few clothes that I can get put on so will try and get them on tomorrow and wednesday for a 5 day listing to end over the weekend as that's when I find stuff sells the best.
Not much else planned today but clearing the sheds out etc will keep me busy I reckon.
Need to take DS to Tae Kwon Do tonight and I will go for a walk whilst he is in there if it is still dry. Wlaked for about 4 hours yesterday while we were out so would like to do some more today and keep my activity up. I have a new skipping rope too so I might get 10 minutes or so of skipping in as well. Feeling motivated diet wise as well. I need to sort out my life once and for all. We only get one shot at this and I want the rest of my life to be a darned sight easier than it has been so far. Not feeling sorry for myself because my life has been what it is and I cannot change that but I really want to be able to take it easier by the time I'm 50. So again it's onwards and upwards. Cheers
Your positivity is rubbing off, I was having a carp day but your right, we're on the right track and there is no point looking back (although it would be nice to go back and change a few things!)
Thanks0 -
Sorry you have been having a carp day Nonnie hopefully it will get better.
Well I had to bite the bullet and buy a lawn mower:(. When I got it home it had a bl**dy strimmer in it as well :rotfl: so I now have 2 strimmers . I was going to sell one but am just going to keep it as someone will no doubt need one in the near future. I was going to buy a wee cheapie lawn mower but I decided to get one with the grass box and with wheels on it rather than the hover type as my garden is so full of moss etc that the wee hover just cant cope with it tbh. I have cut my front lawn and must say it looks the best it has in years so I am happy. I t just means that my bonus will have to pay the £130 I owe Argos and buy DS's uniform instead of paying off some to CC. C'est la vie, it can't be helped.
I popped into ASDA when I was in getting the lawn mower and melons were down to £1, also pink apples were £1 per bag and a wee tub of cherries @ £1. I got 2 melons and 2 bags of apples so spent £5. It'll all be eaten though as DD and I go through loads of fruit. Washing is almost dry so hopefully the rain will stay off for another hour or so until it can be brought in5 Year plan. Good Morning
Not a sunny one here today which is actually a good thing as I moght get something done. I'm going to clear my ironing this morning and then pick DD up from work at 1. I am then definitely going to start listing on e-bay and get rid of some things that I have been hoarding. I need to go into my mum's to make her dinner later but that's all that is planned for today. I might go a walk later if the rain stays off.
Last week went nice and slowly but this week is zooming in . I really am dreading going back to work on Monday but the positive is that I am only in for 2 weeks and then on leave for another 2 weeks. We will go away for a few days then for a wee caraven holiday so that'll be something to look forward to. I have Morrison stamps saved ( I pay my mum's lottery and she buys them) so if needs be then I'll take them with me for the shopping. If I can manage not to then I would rather keep them for Christmas time tbh. That'll be the next thing we need to think about and I also have DS's birthday in December .
So I best get on with it then5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Good evening
Well I did some ironing but not all of it. DS and I cut the back lawn, twice. Had to give it an initial cut and then lower the blades and do it again. I must say though it looks lovely and tidy. If it is dry tomorrow then I will dig round the edges and finish it all off.
DD and I tidied out the summer house and I have put some kitchen doors and a double headboard onto freecycle to see if I can get rid of them. I filled the car up with junk and took it all to the skip so that's a great job done. I haven't put anything onto e-bay yet but I have brought in loads of storage boxes to start going through the house tomorrow and start sorting out for either car boot sales or e-bay/amazon. I'll get the kids to have a clear out as well. There are loads of car boots on just now so I will get organised and maybe see if there are any on at the weekend. I have loads of books that I can sell so I will get started on those soon as well and get them listed on Amazon.
I'm full of plans as I have spent hours on here reading posts etc and tbh it scares the carp out of me that I will always be in debt unless I sort it out now. It does me no harm to scare myself mind you as it keeps me on the straight and narrow.

Not too bad, tax credits have decided we owe them money yippee - not, swines!!
And it just seems to be so frustrating in between pay days not being able to clear more debt  I reckon we should be debt free in less than 2 years and I try to stay as positive as possible, but tbh I kept exactly how bad things were to myself for a long time as DH can't really cope with it in his wee brain lol, but I think it just catches up with me always trying to look on the bright side just for him and perhaps there is a tad of pmt lurking about today :rotfl:
Ach well I shouldn't moan, I know that there is a lot of people out there worse off than us, so thank you for letting me unload and I hope I haven't dampened your spirits :A0
