Hmm, well I sorted most of them, but you know what life throws at you.
I lost my job in January and was unemployed for months. Then when I got a job, it was for only one day a week and we scraped by.
I took a lot of time off when my mum passed away so not really caught up yet.
  • I know. Tell me about it. I'm getting there but slowly slowly. I've got to come on here though to keep myself motivated or I lose it.

  • Last day of my 2 weeks off :(. Never mind only 2 weeks to work before I get my 2 weeks annual leave :D. Been told work is crazy mental though so not really looking forward to that.

Going to drop my mum off today to meet up with her friends for lunch. She's going to one of my favourite restaurants but I'm not going to join them due to dieting. Anyway I am off to see Harry Potter with DS tonight so that will be enough excitement for one day for me.

Paid £43 to Tesco today so that's only £127.50 I need to find by 3rd August to complete my challenge. I'm quietly confident that I will manage that. I have £40 left this week but I really need to buy paint for summer house and fence. I'll see how much that costs and set my son to work next week on that one. I have a £10 in loose change and £5 on my nectar card so might manage to cover some of the cost with that. It's free listing on e-bay at the weekend too so I will bite the bullet and get on with that later.

I have a small overdraft on 1 of my accounts of £550 and stupidly I am paying £10 per month charges for this. I'm going to add it into my snowball and see how expensive that is in comparison to my cards. It means a slight increase in my dfd but I was really just kidding myself that it wasn't there in the background anyway so I might as well just admit it to myself and get it added in . I'll add it into my nect 100 day challenge and get rid of it that way. I love that challenge btw it really spurs me on.

Hope you all have a nice day xx

  • Thanks Jelly Bean thats ok then.

What a day!! I had told my mum I would run her to meet friends for lunch as she is in a wheelchair when she goes out and also needs oxygen so needs either my brother or I to take her anywhere so today it was me as I was off work. I dropped her off and met DD in bamk as this morning she had sent a fast payment from her bank to mine for money she owed me and then realised that some other payee had been set up on her account and she had sent the money to them by mistake ( this is the very shortened version) Now she had never set up this payee and also a few months ago her account was used fraudulently so alarm bells were ringing for me and she was advised to go to her branch who promptly sent her back to the phone . So I met her and said no way was she going to be passed from pillar to post and I wanted it sorted forthwith. No-one would talk to me on the phone as she is 17, but !!!!!! when was a 17 year old ever able to explain themselves to authoritative figures. I was beside myself with temper :p. We were in the bank for 1.5 hrs . Whilst there my mum called me to pick her back up and I had to leave DD to go get her ( she was in tears by now) and then go back and pick up DD ( stressed much) All sorted now eventually, new passwords etc being sent to her and account suspended pending investigation. Such a shame at 17 she has now twice been a target for fraudsters. Then dropped DD at home and picked DS up and took mum home and dropped her off. Realised I had forgotten the 3D glasses for pics so had to buy new ones . Went to McD's as part of Harry P experience, went to ASDA for sweets and then went to pics. Came home and dropped DS off then picked DD up from work. And Breathe !!

    Bl**dy knackered now :rotfl:

Spent £16 on tickets, £2 on specs, £1 on sweets and £10 on mcDonalds. Bought DS a pair of swim shorts whilst n ASDA as his are too small so quite a spendy day too. Never mind my mum had given me £100 at beginning of last week to use for days out so it was covered by that :D.

I hope you have all had an easier day than me ;)

  • Thanks Jelly bean for reading all my drivel. I keep going becasue I have 2 kids and a sick mother relying on me so I have no choice lol. In saying that I would never manage without my mum. She has always been so good to us and helps all the time with any expenses the kids have. She saves up all her change for DS for his holidays so I won't need to worry about spending money for him when we go away and she paid for the holiday as well :D.

Got news today that my uncle has only got days apparently. He doesn't want anyone to go and see him except his immediate family. I was in my aunts today though and took her along some dinner on my way home from my mum's. So at least when she comes home form the hospital visiting there is a meal sitting there for her. I think I'll do some baking tomorrow for her as she is crippled with rheumatoid, like my mum, but has load of friends and family who will be popping in and out so she will need things for a cup of tea for them.

Spends wise I have had a NSD :D which is quite surprising considering I took my mum to Morrisons and had DS with me. I eventually had to say to him to stop asking for things or I would hammer him :rotfl:. I don't smack so I dunno why I even say that as they just laugh but he shut up :o. My mum bought him some sweets for helping her get her shopping so he was happy with that. Going to chill tonight and browse so no doubt be back later xx

  • My mum has fybromyalgia as well as a host of other issues so I know where you are coming from with that. Good move to get organised as at least if you get to the stage you can't work ( hopefully not) then finances would not be a worry. I hope you cooked hubby a nice dinner ;) since you made him stay in.

I have been tested for rheumatoid and thankfully I do not have it.
