Well I am stuffed to the gunholes. I love Sunday dinner nom nom. Had chicken, yorkshire puddings, broccoli, cheese sauce and potatoes and I am full to bursting. Was amazing though and all made frugally as some chicken will be used for sandwiches too, there's some broccoli left that I'll use up for a quiche or something. I'll freeze it just now, and the cheese sauce was in the freezer. Also had budgeted for it on my weight watchers plan so even better. I must say that trying not to spend money really really helps me on the diet as I will rarely buy sweets or anything as they are so damned expensive and I am turning into a tight git these days
.
I'm joking about being tight obviously or I wouldn't be in so much flaming debt  I have 3 watchers already on e-bay so am pleased with that:D. Back to work tomorrow so I am very not pleased with that. In fact I am dreading it . I don't actually hate my job I just think I was born to nobility and my mum took the wrong baby home as I could happily not work if I had money to live on. I shouldn't complain really. At least I have a semi secure job that I have been in for a long time so even if the worst came to the worst I would get enough redundancy to pay off my debts and most of my mortgage. That's a lot more than most folks can say.Going to chill tonight and enjoy my last night of freedom as tomorrow the madness begins

A wee prayer said, glad he is at peace, sorry for your loss.
Hope your first day back at work goes smoothly, I'm having fun looking after my 2 year old nephew today, well watching him, keeping him and kittens apart and keeping my kids amused, will sleep well tonight, had him since 7.30am and I'm knackered already.
Thanks god for the kids laptop for me and cbeebies for him! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
So sorry about your uncle ((hugs))0

sorry to hear about your uncle, i have an aunt in hospital that is not very well, just keep hoping she keeps fighting but think it is selfish of me as she is in her 80's and has been through a lot.
On hopefully happier news hope your selling on e-bay goes well, the other day i was watching the great man martin lewis on tv and he was on about people saving, one thing that struck a cord with me is that he said people dont think its their job to save money, but it is. This has spurred me onto start saving. I know i have a couple of debts but hopefully even by putting £5 away a month over time it will mount up. Think if martin was pm he would soon sort out this country's debt problem.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -
thanks guys for the hugs etc. Still can't believe it tbh. Funeral is on Thursday so thank god it won't go on for ages.
Amber that's a good idea to save a wee bit if you can. Nonnie I would have paid extra for cbeebies when mine were wee. I hope you have survived the day as it sounded a bit mad :rotfl:.
1st day back at work over. Wasn't too bad but was a very slow day. I worked from 8.30 until 6.15 :eek:as DS comes and meets me and I take him to his Tae Kwon do so in reality I left the house at 8am and got home at 8pm. I'll sleep tonight as I hardly slept at all last night. I dunno about everyone else but I can never sleep the night before I go back to work as I'm always worried I'll sleep in. I've not slept in, in about 20 years so this is completely irrational:rotfl:. But hey ho. The other team leader who works with me is a bit bolshy and goes about the sections singing 'i've got the power' and the staff hate it so I had to listen to mega moaning when I got in today about how she had stressed them all out whilst I was off. I'm very laid back and get great support from my team as I give them their lead and only intervene when I have to or if I need something specific and I always get what I need from them. One of the girls that left to go to another office said that I empower staff which makes them want to work for me and want to please me. As a manager I reckon that's quite an accolade and I was thrilled when she said that. I must do something right anyway as they were glad I was back. I was hardly in the door an hour though when they were reminding me that I had promised to make them a bakewell tray bake and I hadn't done it :rotfl:. I'll do it on Thursday when I am off for the funeral and that will keep them sweet for a while.
Spent £2.80 today on train fare for DS and a bottle of juice for him as he forgot his water. Sorry about the long post xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Sorry about your uncle MIT. I'm sure he will still be with you in life, but looking down from above instead. Just like my mum is.
I know what you mean about not sleeping the Sunday night before work, I think that is the worst day for me for sleeping.
Today though I have spent several hours in hospital as I got a massive headache when I got into work and pins and needles. The first aider got an ambulance to check me out and then took me to hospital for 2 hours or so.
I had my blood pressure taken, tested for diabetes, ECG etc, but they put it down to stress and sent me home.
I feel a bit better, but feel like a clamp is on my head.

Not sure M.I.T. I can read close up, but things get a bit blurred on distant objects.
I'm sure it's stress too as Iam going through this rubbish patch again and it always seems to come on when I'm anxious.
I've sold two items today on Ebay, but need to sell £600 a month at least just to help towards the bills.
it's getting harder and harder.0 -
Hi MIT, totally get about not sleeping night before work, for me it's a sunday night cos I know I'm babysitting the next morning, typing this from my bed as I'm all done out
You sound like a fab manager, and I reckon you should be very proud of yourself, I remember when I worked in a bank (no debt then either lol) and some of the managers were a$$holes, but there was one guy who was just brilliant and everyone liked him and would work their backside off for him - the other managers hated him
Hope you have a good day tomorrow and fingers crossed for the ebay stuff x0
