Ok Kitchen done now. Just the floor to do. 1 load of wash done but it defo will not be going outside as we now have thunder, lightning and bouncing rain. Was gorgeous this morning .

Going to make shepherds pie for dinner as just DS and I and DD will not eat mince  drives me nuts as there are so many nice cheap meals you can make with it. Any way DS and I will thoroughly enjoy it without her. I'll make some veggies too and have fruit for pudding. I've got power ballads on Magic on the telly and am sweating buckets lol but house will be shiny clean and I am enjoying the wee sing along :D Dunno if my kids are mind you ;)

Fantastic, what a productive day! :T Putting the rest of us to shame.
Isn't it lovely to have a gleaming house - needless to say mine isn't

oh well there's always tomorrow!! :rotfl:
  • House is shining like a new pin except for DD17's room. I chucked all her ironing on her floor and have left the hoover there as a big hint :rotfl:.

I want to be at T in The Park. Looks amazing. I'm still a teenager at heart. I'm defo putting that on my bucket list. Would need one of the posh tents though as I canny be doing with no toilet etc. so it will need to be a couple of years yet. I could go for my 50th lol and be a disgrace. I'm sure I could find a few pals to join me. A long straw and a wee bottle chardonnay and I would be one happy bunny :D. I love Plan B who are on just now.

Nonnie are you going to go and see the tall ships this weekend cos if you are I've just been told that parking is about £15 . We're going on Sunday if it's not too wet so that should be fun.

That's a complete rip off! Actually I live across from Arran and I was walking along the shore the other night and saw some of them sailing past, it really was a beautiful sight, but I don't think I would be allowed to go this weekend cos it's silverstone and DH might kill me if I suggest taking him away from the almighty F1 lol :D
  • Lol you better not then. We were down in Helensburgh today and what a fab day. Sun was splitting the skies. We had ice creama and DS and mum had chips :D I was a good girl and didn't have chips, or sweeties, or ice lollies :( I did have a wee cone though.

Got a bathing suit for £2 in Happit as I have promised DS that since I have lost lots of weight I will go swimming with him on holiday . Still not sure I want to bare this body to the world. MY MUM PAID FOR THE SWIM SUIT BY THE WAY SO IT ACTUALLY COST ME NOTHING -CAPS SOZ. All I have spent today is £2.20 on juice as DD and I were dying this morning after cleaning the house we were doing. I had forgotten to take juice or anything with me and could not have waited until we got home.

Looks like we are definitely off to Greenock tomorrow for a wee jaunt to see the ships. DS is desperate to go and I thing DD and her BF are coming too. I will take a packed lunch and do my best to get free or cheap parking somewhere. If it is lashing down then I will be going nowhere

Bet you'll have a great day and I think it's supposed to be dry - according to the BBC. But then I just switch channels till I find the forecast I like the most :D

Meant to say, well done on such a LSD and having a great time, I bet your mum really appreciates you taking her out. My mum is widowed but still very able, even so she just loves it if i'm going out in the car and invite her along, that's what she misses the most as she has never driven, even just a wee jaunt to asda cheers her up!
  • She loves it Nonnie. She lives for the weekends as I always take her out on a Saturday if she is fit. She always ends up spending money on us but I have resigned myself to that as she really enjoys treating the kids and I so I just let her. She's not got much else to spend her money on anyway and as she says she'd rather see us enjoy it whilst she is here to enjoy it with her :D. My brother and his family go in on a Sunday and have dinner with her but every so often he will take her out a wee jaunt and tomorrow they are heading off to Greenick too so no doubt I will meet up with them.

My DD works in a newsagents part time and last night when I picked her up she said that they had just thrown out about 2 dozen fresh rolls. She was quite shocked at this as obviously she lives with me and I waste very little :rotfl:. I told her not to dare throw them out that she was to bring them home and I was all ready to go bin diving last night to get them , until she told me they had gone in the bag with the floor sweepings (yuk) and tonight I got 14 rolls for £1 :D. I'll use 8 tomorrow for our packed lunches and 6 are in the freezer. Bargain!!

I popped into ASDA tonight to see if they had any marked down stuff but alas no so I bought penguins and a pallet of diet irn bru £7 in total. But the irn bru will save me a fortune in drinks over this week as we are going out at least 3 times and you know what kids are like, they could drink the well dry. So I will in fact save about a £10 :p and that's the excuse I am sticking to.

I'm watching coldplay on T in the Park, wowsa!! I love live music and wish I was a teenager again and I would be up there, trashed and having a blast :rotfl:. Didn't let DD go mind you :rotfl:
