I had a wee snooze after all
. Been months and months since I have had a lazy Sunday and it has been fabulously fab. Normally I run about mad all day Sunday doing housework, washing, ironing, shopping etc etc as I work Saturday mornings and take my mum out in the afternoons. Was great to not have to rush about today. Am happy and chilled.
Didn't spend any money either which is great. My mum said tonight she was going to transfer £100 into my account as she had given my brother that towards his new car. She then said it was to treat kids and I to a day out over the hols. So I am going to take us to see Harry Potter and a wee dinner and will put £18.45 towards my 100 day challenge. That will leave me with £200 exactly to try and find by 3rd August :rotfl:. I am pleased that I have managed to overpay by so much over this challenge. I am just p'd off at myself for having added that amount to my debt when I was meant to be being good. Never mind it is almost gone now and then I can overpay the original debt. I am very very limited as to what I can put on a card now anyway as I cut them all up except 1 and I only have about £50 available on that. I'm doing okay at the minute an dhopefully it will continue. I always find when I am positive that good things happen

Good Morning. I am going to have another day of footering ( doing nothing much) Done some washing and going to get DS to cut the grass in the back garden and help me with some weeding but other than that I have no big plans. DS has Tae Kwon Do tonight so we will go to that.
I have some clothes and things that I might look at putting onto e-bay or taking to the charity shop. I'll see if I can be bothered :rotfl:. Have a lovely day folks xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Forgot to say that I am very close to being in the £17k's this month :j. In May my snowball had said September but looks like I am going to do it by July
:D. I can't tell you how delighted I am by this. Also my DFD is now Dec 2013 which is much much better and makes me smile.

That DFD is absolutley amazing from your original dec 2015, well done!! The next 18 months will fly by no time, glad your relaxing and enjoying your holidays, how good is this weather - DH is off this week - definitely picked the best one lol. TBH it's too hot outside today, I'm not one for the sun and the kids are a bit wiped today, anyway off to the new transport museum tomorrow for a freebie, looking forward to it and it's supposed to be raining so the perfect day.
Might go outside later and continue painting the fence, got a lot of it done yesterday but I think I'll wait till it's cooler, hope you enjoy the rest of your holibags - going to get the kids to help make spag bog, my thinking is if ds makes it then he might eat it but me thinks it won't work, he's a fussy little man! :rotfl:0 -
Hi Nonnie. We're going to have a day at the transport museum as well but a guy in work was there last weekend and said it was ridiculously busy. Am going to wait until a day next week and hopefully be a bit quieter then.
It is way too hot outside for me too. I am not a worshipper of the sun. I love sunny days and also love sitting on the beach etc but DS and I went out to do some gardening and jeezo I gave up quickly. So we came in and spent a lovely wee hour baking. DS loves oaty biscuits and reckons he is some sort of guru at making them and I made gingerbreads. That'll keep them from moaning for the rest of the week that there is no food in the house. Although they are nice sweet treats at least they are home made and I know what's in them. Not that I bother too much anyway as my kids are older now and I have lost most of the control I used to have over what they eat. I still try and make healthy dinners but to my shame we are having chicken burgers and chips tonight :rotfl:cos I cba.

I was even worse than that and I gave them just chicken burgers
. I had new potatoes and gravy :rotfl:.
I am p'd off though. I had to buy a strimmer last month as I caught mine in my neighbour's washing line, which was hanging over my fence. I haven't even got the bill in yet and today my lawnmower has died. One step forwards and 2 back unfortunately. There goes my bonus at end of month
. I think I'll buy a sheep :rotfl:

I've joined the grocery challenge again to see if I can rein in my grocery spends. I've managed to meal plan for thenext 2 weeks and hardly need to buy anything at all. Going to stick on the slow cooker just now with 3 loads of stewed links. Will have 1 lot tonight and freeze 2. Nom Nom
.
Hopefully no other spends today. Going to start tackling my ironing mountain just now whilst watching some telly x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Ironing done:D. Dinner was delish. Even DD tried the casserole and said she wants some the next time
and best of all a friend on facebook has offered me a lawnmower so that saves me buying that. And a NSD into the bargain. Happy days :j

Hi. Bit of an expensive day for me today. DS's DOBO ( tae kwon do suit) has arrived so that is £38. His classes are £25. I bought my mum and I a takeaway baked potato each at lunch time which was just over £5 ( she always pays though so I felt obliged
). I treated us to a pack of cakes from Greggs so was £2.40 for those and tonight DD and I are having a chinese curry takeaway. The reason for the takeaway tonight is that I feel that she needs a wee treat . DS is going out for dinner with his dad but he failed to invite DD for some reason and she is not one bit pleased about it. She is being thrawn though and will not call him. I'm positive that it is because he has seen her but hasn't seen DS for weeks but she prefers to do the huffy teenager thing :rotfl:. The joys !! I also booked tickets for Harry Potter for DS and I for next week as DD is going with her boyfriend . We have always gone on first night to see these films and this is the last one and I'm a wee bit unhappy that she is not coming with us. I'll get over it I'm sure
and means I don't need to pay for her. DS and I will have a lovely time.
We spent the afternoon playing Monopoly. What a laugh we had. Every time they were put into jail I moaned and moaned at them about them being jakeys and how I couldn't put my head out the door due to them being in the jail all the time. That type of scenario is so far removed from our lives that they were rolling about the floor laughing. Was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon and just a pity that we don't often have time to do it. I suppose it wouldn't be so much fun if we did it all the time mind you.:D5 Year plan.
