Loved the 'jakeys' - what a good word, haven't heard it for ages! I love playing monopoly with the kids as well but ds (9) is the biggest cheater ever!! He has golden balls and the wee rat always wins cos I can't bear to steal from either of the kids - what a wimp I am (hangs head in shame) :p Anyway hope you are having a great time off work, going to spend some money today and go to pizza hut, my b/d treat so I'm looking forward to it, sun is shining so everyone is smiling! PS - the transport museum wasn't too busy at all, although we went at 11am, probably gets a lot busier later and the car park looked like a right nightmare, glad we took the underground. ;)
  • Happy Birthday :j. There are coupons on here somewhere for pizza hut. My kids love pizza hut but I'd rather have a sirloin :rotfl:.

Going to head up to the transport museum next week one day. My friend has a young girl staying with her from France so that'll be a cheap day out for her. I'll need to take the car as I have no clue how to get there otherwise :o. Guy in work said to park at Kelvin hall and walk over as it is only about 10 minutes walk so I may do that.

Going back to weight watchers tonight . Haven't been for 3 weeks . I dont think I have gained anything but you never know. I've certainly not been sticking to a healthy eating plan but I want to get back on it ASAP. Going to go down to ALDI today and stock up on fruit and veggies. Not needing much other than that and I will pop into ASDA later when I am at my mum's and get their cheap juice and some diluting juice to keep the kids going. In saying that I am sure I could buy up their entire stock and it still wouldn't keep the kids going ;). I'll check the woopsies bit in ASDA then too as you get some fab bargains at night time in there.

Sun is shining so hopefully stays that way as I have washing machine on

    Thanks! :)
Pizza Hut was nice - ate a trifle too much :o Just been for a walk, hopefully that might counter balance it - well no harm in dreaming :rotfl:

Good luck at weight watchers x
  • Glad you had a nice time Nonnie and I'm sure the walk will negate any calories consumed .....................NOT :rotfl::p.

Well I put on a half pound tonight and I was bl**dy delighted. I'm lucky it wasn't half a stone . Not been there since 16th Jume so I have had my birthday, a wedding , a week off with the kids, I've baked ( and ate it) I've done no exercise and I am bloated like a balloon so all in all that was a positive only to put 1/2 lb on :D. I have a large galaxy bar here as a final treat and back on the straight and narrow tomorrow as I am going to put all my big clothes onto e-bay over the weekend so there is no going back now.

I went to Aldi today as I love their fruit but thought I would check what kind of prices their basics were. Iam a convert. I spent £26 and had a full trolley of stuff. That would have cost me at least £70 to get a trolley full like that in asda. Just for instance I bought tin foil @ £1.99 for 30 metres. This is £3.22 in Asda and that's on roll back. I am well impressed with Aldi and will definitely be going back. I have always just gone to Asda or Morrisons to save time but I need to save money so I need to shop about more. I spent another £11.03 in Asda as their fizzy juice is dirt cheap in there and I picked up a couple of other things that Aldi did not have. I was also £11.58 in butchers but that will provide me with 8 meals. All in all I have spent £194.52 from a budget of £250 I set myself for the grocery challenge. I've no chance lol. I think I was a bit hopeful there to be honest considering the kids are off and eat anything that's not nailed down. Especially DS (13).

Tomorrow I am going to get up and be all motivated and clean my house from top to bottom. I have been a lazy moo this week, just because I could be but really need to sort the house out as I could now write my name in the dust, which is never good :rotfl:. So I am hoping for rain tomorrow so I stay in and work :o

  • Still waiting on cleaning motivation to kick in. Homes under the hammer is much more interesting :o.

Already been paid for tomorrows cleaning job so have paid £25 direct to TESCO. Bit of a scunner to have paid it out before I even earn it but I am now at £170.50 to find for my challenge by 3rd August so I am getting there slowly. I reckon some folks doing these challenges count all their normal payments as well as their totals are phenomenal. I could put down £2.5k in 3 months as well and look like I am doing amazingly well but I only put down absolute overpayments so it doesn't look that much but is massive to me. I suppose everyone does what motivates them.

I called car loan company yesterday to double check when my loan ends and I was right, my final payment is on 4th August. I am so pleased as that will release £156.91 towards debt repayments per month. I am just going to pay it out on payday so that it never goes into the pot. I am quite excited as it will start to make huge inroads to my CC debts. It's all getting quite exciting now. How sad am I :rotfl:getting excited about paying off debts. I swear to god though I will have a party when I am clear of them and my excitement will know no limits :D.

Thanks for reading my daily drivel :D. I'm glad you're inspired. The challenges are full of folks doing amazing things so it's great to join them. I'm not always successful at them but they definitely motivate me to try harder. Good luck to you xx

just noticed your totals and they are crazy good. Well done you

  • right that's my room all done. Bed changed. Cushions stripped and cusrtains down for washing, window cleaned and de- spiderwebbed. Top hall the same and bathroom gutted. Found my vinegar spray so used that for windows and forgot how clean they are after using that :D. Having a wee break before doing downstairs as it is roasting. I haven't even done any washing .
I'm fed up waiting on DD doing her ironing as it is now filling the basket. I am going to bag it up and shove it on her bed :D. Evil mummy. But I keep thinking I have loads of ironing and I don't. Whuich is a good thing but very annoying when I psyche myself up to iron and then hardly any is mine. Moan over.

Back on diet today and feel better for it. Hopefully I can stay nice and motivated again and get another couple of stones off.
