  • well remember my comment about spending an absolute minimum at all times:o £69.96 in supermarket yesterday . I only went in for a couple of things BUT I made the mistake of not taking a list with me. Stoopid :p. I'll definitely meal plan next week as I have £75 to put into my account just to pay the bills . I have a night out next week but will probably take the car and the following weekend I have a hen night which will be expensive.

My mum has said tonight that she will give me some money to buy DS an outfit for the wedding we are going to :D. DD will already have a dress as she has her end of year dance so can wear the same dress from that so just me to dress.

Letter from CSA today telling me that from 13th May I will receive £25 per week as I will be getting £5 maintenance and £20 for arrears. Oh fingers crossed that I actually get it regularly as that would be just fabulous and make my life so so much easier :D. Nothing much else to report here. Usual monetary juggling taking place.

    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.

  • I have had such a busy day but it has been really nice:D.
Worked this morning in second job and earned £30 for 2.5 hrs :j.
Went out with friends this afternoon and had some lunch and a couple soft drinks. Spent around £10 so am pleased with that and I haven't seen them for ages so it was worth the spend :D.

Forgot to say I spent £45 yesterday on haircuts but that was for the 3 of us so not too bad. I am going to keep the money I have earned just now as I need to put money into my account to pay everything. I went off onto my bank account here to check what I needed to put in and it is £124.11 :eek::eek:. I nearly had a heart attack as TBH that would be really tough going. But then I remembered I have £42.01 to come back from Sony ................Phew !!. And Breathe :rotfl:So that is £82.10 I need to put in this week. Still scary but I can probably manage this so long as I use my other earnings to keep us going and shop VERY carefully. This is slightly depenadant on ex paying the £25 he should pay each week so it may go belly up :(. I think I need the kids to take packed lunches this week. They won't like it but tough luck. If I can do that then I may manage a wee overpayment to TESCO. Not going to stress about it. I need to pay £121.91 per month for the next 3 months to manage my target and I reckon I can do that.

  • Evening folks. I have only spent £3.57 today despite going to Morrisons with my mum.Just needed a couple of things I had forgotten at Asda and that is all I bought :D.

I have a bit of a bonus in my wee part time job in that whatever food etc people leave I get to keep it :D. Took 2 bottles of cooking oil to my mum's today as I have 5 . I have had ice cream, milk, bubble bath, fruit, pizzas lol so it's pretty good. Loads of ends of toilet rolls too as the loo roll gets renewed each time so there's usually some left on the rolls. It all helps :D. I'll be skip diving before I know it :rotfl:.

I have enough money to pay for lunches this week so kids dont need to take packed lunches so that saves a fight ;) and to be honest it doesn't really save me anything anyway.

DS has started Tae Kwon Do to try and bring up his confidence in school as he had a bit of bother yet again. My boy is a geek and proud to be one but unforunately it makes him a target for the wide boys. I am just about ready to land in the middle of the play ground and fight them all :rotfl:but I reckon that will be a bad move. He has also started hill climbing with my brother and has bagged a munro the last 2 weekends. His puppy fat is shifting, he is growing at a rate of knots and hopefully the confidence thing will be helped if he has the knowledge that if needs be, he could fight his corner. Unfortunately it costs £25 per month  and needs paying this week. My mum is going to kit him out for the climbing ( thank god) but I will need to kit him out for Tae Kwon Do and pay his insurance for that too. No idea how much it will all cost me. I was determined that I was only going to use my part time wages for debt but looks like I definitely need to use it this week to live. Oh well !

Good news on the low spend day and freebies. Some things are just worth the extra cost. DD2 does Karate, it does cost but so worth it as it has toughened her up.

  • Children can be so cruel sometimes can't they, hopefully the Tae Kwondo will boost his ego :D Know exactly what you mean about supermarket shopping, I only popped into Sainsburys today and ended up spending a daft amount of money  I don't even particularly like Sainsburys, but have picked up a few things from their basics range (although I have to say I am not a fan of the basics range sweet pickle - it is Practically runny :()
    Just keep swimming!
  • EEw!! I'm not a fan of pickle. It's murder isn't it and to boot my two are always moaning there's nothing to eat :rotfl:. I could feed the street . I love Sainsburys, so I dont even go in as I any time I have gone in the past I have always spent over £100. Big no no these days .

Phoned CSA today just on the off chance that there would be some money on the way to me :rotfl:Fat chance . Apparently they have been trying to get in touch with ex as he has defaulted already. I don't know whether to laugh at how pathetic he is or to cry at how annoyed I get every time this happens. Need to kick myself up the butt and stop letting him let me down. ( makes sense to me :rotfl:)

Took DS up to his Tae Kwon Do class tonight and because it was raining I sat in the cafeteria with my book and some juice. It was bliss :D.

  • I am skint !!!!!!!!!

Just thought I would mention that :rotfl:. But seriously

    I am skint !!!!!!!!!

    Fed up :(.

I put a tenner petrol in the car on Wednesday hoping it would last over the weekend but it has run out already. I only spent £20 on shopping this week :D. I have £25 to pay for DS's Tae Kwon Do, petrol to buy, £18 needed in my account for bills still to come off, party tomorrow, hen night next week.......... you get the picture, and I have no money, nada, zilch, zero, naff all and I am scunnered :(. No maintenance from ex :(. Will earn £25 tomorrow but need petrol to get to work next week. All negative and I'm finding it hard to find a positive at the minute. Next week should be better I hope as I have taken 3 days off of work to do my opart time job so that will see me through.

    Fed up and skint :(

Hope you don't mind me popping in to say Hi! I think that you are doing incredibly well but I can understand how fed up you must be. Finally got a grip on our finances (or lack of!!) and think it'll take us a few years to be completely sorted, but I can honestly say that reading diaries like your help me immensely, so please don't get too downhearted because you are not only helping yourself, but loads of others too. Thank you :)
  • So sorry to hear you are having a fed up day :( I think we all get these at some point, I had one the day before yesterday where I felt thoroughly fed up. I sometimes feel like I can't see the wood for the trees - this month we have managed to move a lot of things around which should mean that over the next 12 months we should see our figures come down. But in transferring them over we will have incurred balance transfer fees which will mean that we will have incurred Balance transfer charges and therefore our figure will hardly have come down this month I think :o

Keep your chin up, it is a rocky road but we will all get there eventually :)
    Just keep swimming!
