  • Thanks Si guy. I might just have a go at that. I have SONY and Virgin with them. Virgin one is at 19% and SONY 24.9% so a wee bit better than you have. I was always that naive that I thought everyone got the same rates, until I came on here that is.

Anyways, I am completely traumatised by my boy's room lol. I had put a post on facebook saying that I was heading in and he was at his dad's and said in caps 'GET OUT. SERIOUSLY MUM PLEASE GET OUT'. I then got 2 phone calls begging me not to shout at him and 4 texts that were extremely pleading :rotfl:. I haven't really shouted to be honest but I am making him work now he is home. I need to keep a much better eye on him and check it every week and make sure it is done. Obviously since before Christmas ( last time I gutted it) I have just yelled 'clean yer room' and then had a wee peek but OMG if only I could have shown you pics of the corners. He had got tins of sweets at Christmas and all the ones he didnt like were down the side of his bed, along with the papers from the ones he did like. There were juice bottles and cans down there too ( he has a bin in his room) there were loads of socks, pants and t-shirts. We found a lost school jumper :D. I was going to buy new pants and socks for him during the week but wont need to now. It was a horrendous experience. I never want to repeat it .

Tonight I am going to make him watch the comic relief programme about all the kids living in 1 room and try and shame him into taking care of his things. He has so much tbh and is totally spoilt. No more !! The line in the sand has been drawn and he better not cross it :rotfl:. I'm off to do some more with him. xx

  • Its a horrible experience when you fully delv into a kids room. DD2s trick is to hide everything in her brothers room!

  • Lol @ hiding in brother's room. He obviously hasn't thought of that yet. I hate doing it but really love it when it is done. It's the only room in the house that gets minging. The rest of them are tidied all the time. 30 socks I found  and 7 pairs of knickers  all worn and stuffed either under bed or under wardrobe. He is such a minger :rotfl:. All washed now and just about to hang them up to dry

  • I'm the same. Especially the ironing. If my ironing gets out of control then I get really stressed until it is done lol. Doesn't bother me until it starts falling off the top of the basket  and I am very proficient at balancing it all. All done now though. My boy is just 13 and I am so hoping that soon the tidy bug will kick in ( even slightly) along with the having a shower without having to be reminded 10 times, and also the tooth brushing bug............probably that one won't come until the snogging starts mind you :rotfl:. I cannot even begin to tell you how bl**dy tired I am tonight. I have been on the go since before 9 this morning and I have just stopped ironing 2 miutes ago. Totally shattered but feeling good. What a workout :D.

I made DS sit through famous, rich and in the slums. I'm hoping it will make him thimk about just how lucky he is. Doubt it though ;)

  • Help!! Car going into garage tomorrow and I am really really nervous. I have this horrible feeling I am going to need
    • new tyre
    • wheel bearings
    • new brakes
and if I do then it'll cost me a fortune and it will have to go on a card which will break my heart :(. I put the theatre tickets on my card the other day as I was scared to spend any cash but will pay them off as soon as I have money available. But I will be devastated if I need to put more on for the car. Never mind. What will be will be. I cannot wait though until I have a slush fund for this type of thing. It will be heavenly :rotfl:.Spent £12 on fruit today and bought a set of 3 propagators in ALDI to get seeds for kids and I to do our pots this year. It'll save us a wee fortune :rotfl:

  • :j:jit passed :j:j. £40 so I am bl**dy ecstatic :D. Been advised that my front driver side tyre is close to the margins and is cheap rubbish :rotfl:. The mechanic said that that is what is making the squealy noise as tracking etc is way off. My mum has said she will give me £50 towards a tyre so I reckon I can get one for that. Can't tell you how relieved I am.

Not sure how much I can overpay to ARGOS , if anything. We are all getting our hair cut on Friday so I will be about £45 for that. I am also going to pay the £46 to SONY for the tickets I put on there as they charge stupid % so not really wanting that to go up any. I will then see what is left and it will go from card. Feel like doing a wee dance round the house :rotfl:.

  • I know KP. I'm really pleased. £20 in account today from CSA so I've paid that from ARGOS. I don't really have much more tbh so I will wait until I have paid off everything else then I will see whats what. I called my local MP yesterday re CSA as I am just fed up now. I claimed last June and still waiting on any sort of payment. Any money I have had is arrears from my old claim. The kids have had no actual maintenance for approx 18 months. Keep getting fobbed off and papers been sent to wrong sections 3 times now. I complained to them in writing by e-mail and didnt even get an acknowledgement so I have passed on my concerns to the MP and see what happens now. Probably nothing lol
