  • Thanks guys. I need to have a wee look and see what I actually have in the fund. I also have £75 in a wee savings scheme I do with my friends for nights out that we have. We put money away every month and then treat ourselves to a night away or a posh, posh meal, things we would not normally do. We kicked the !!!!! out of it last year mind you and went to Benidorm for the weekend :D. Some of the girls are going for a spa day but I hate saunas etc so I am not going so £75 available for bills. I also have £98 in paypal but that will be over £100 once my other auctions end. So hopefully about £120 by then in paypal. I also have some money in my account but not that much. Maybe £100. I'll need to do some sums tonight and see. I have my mum's birthday this month but all she wants is a new nightie :) aww. I'll get her that and she loves flowers so I will get her a big bunch and get her daffodils for all round the house. She will totally love that. I don't even know how much an MOT costs :rotfl:.

Hamster buried tonight by torchlight. I sang a wee hymn. DD thought this was funny so DS then slapped her :rotfl:. Usual stuff :rotfl:. Spent £5.42 today on some juice, rolls, cold meat and cheese. Going out tomorrow for dinner as a colleague that I have worked with on and off for 20 years is moving to America to live :(. Sad to see her go tbh but this is her choice and I wish her all the luck in the world.

Going to chill on here for a while and then a nice early night I reckon. Am knackered as lots and lots of learning going on in my new job. Very interesting though and I am going to enjoy it once I know what I am doing

  • Just watched ' famous, rich and in the slums' on BBC1 for comic relief. OMG I was in tears. I feel so selfish. People with no food, no clothes. Women having to prostitute themselves just to feed their kids ( not for drugs etc) and accepting that as their 'job'. I have run up > £20k in debt on sh*t, not essentials. I am ashamed. I really need to try and help. My work are holding various events for comic relief and I swear I will be in the forefront to help raise as much awareness and cash as I can. I am going to bake my heart out. I just wish I had some influence on people to do something. It makes me much more determined to pay off this debt and get off the weight when people in some parts of the world have so little. I used to sponsor a child in Africa, so that they could be educated and that is going to be one of the first things I will do when I am solvent again.:(:(:(. Feeling sad now.

Im sure your baking skills will raise a good amount so you can be proud of yourself.

  • Well I can only try KP and if everyone makes an effort then surely some good can be done.

I went out last night to a friend's leaving do as she is moving away to live in America :(. We had dinner ( which was not very nice tbh) and a few drinks ( soft ones for me ) spent £15 so that was okay. I tell you this not drinking mallarkey is defo a good help on MSE journey :rotfl:and no headache in the morning............bonus!!

Nothing much else to report. Taking my mum shopping today. I have done my menu plan and written my shopping list so will get my shopping whilst I am out with her. I have £47.50 cash so will try and be under that. Should manage it okay. DS not getting pocket money yet again as his room is a shambles and that is the condition he has to get some money. Saves me :rotfl:. I have a really busy week this week as I have to attend to my mum every night as my brother has various things on, including a hospital appointment. I will be knackered by Friday. Never mind. At least I am healthy and can manage to do it. It's just the assumption that I will do it that gets on my nerves sometimes. As if I have no life and am always available. Grr. And no consideration given that I have a full time job and 2 kids and a house to run. Hey ho. These things a re sent to try us and at the minute they certainly are . Better go and start lol

  • Shattered.com. Went into town today with my mum. She wanted to go to lots of shops for urgent things i.e. a card for a birthday that is in 3 weeks . Urgent to me is that I am on my way to the party :rotfl:.
I bought trousers as my black ones are past their best and tbh they are hanging off of me. I got a smaller size :D and managed to get 2 bras in the sale @ £3 each. I then spent just under £60 in the supermarket so unfortunately a bit of a spender for me today. I needed the food though and definitely needed the clothes.

Ny daughter and niece are away to Glasgow tonight to see Russel Howard so will need to pick them up later from the train. Having a wee chillax on here meantime. Hope everyone is well xx

  • :o just spent £19.44 on e-bay. Bought 5 tops for myself in a smaller size :D. I need to be tidy in my work and everything I own is either getting too big or is fit for the bin :p. That's my excuse anyway. Still 2 items to go on my goods but most have sold. I'll still have more that £100 in my paypal account minus fees and postage. I'll transfer it to my bank account ASAP as car getting booked in this week for MOT .

    Happy Sunday folks xx

Been a busy bee today. Lounge , rear hall and kitchen floors all scrubbed. 2 loads of wash done and hung on dryers. Inside of car scrubbed as it was minging. Next door neighbour asked if I was trading it in so note to self : clean car more often :rotfl:. Just away to hoover it now and then wash it :D

:jmore than £120 in sales on e-bay. Minus the £20 I spent lol. Fees also £11 and postage on top but I reckon I am at least £80 up :money:. Cracking. I have transferred £50 to my account today and will get the rest once everyone has paid up and I clear the fees.

Spent a few pounds on car today to get it ready for MOT and general spruce up as I will be keeping it for a while yet. Only 5 more payments to go on it :DHad to buy mats, rear wiper, air freshener and paid for car wash ( too cold to wash it myself :o). It looks amazing though. Spotless clean inside and I found £1.75 whilst clearing it out :D. Feels like quite an achievement though getting it all sorted. I threatened DS with going into his roon next and he nearly had a heart attack and is up there now throwing things about all over the place trying to clear it :rotfl:. He knows I will go mental when I see just how bad it is and I will end up taking his x-box off of him as a punishment so he is sweating :rotfl:.

I feel as if I am on a mission since watching that programme on telly the other night about the slums in Africa. It made me realise BIG time just how much I have and I am deternined to appreciate it much more which includes making sure it is all kept in good order. If my car passes its MOT then I am going to get my dishwasher fixed as it is causing holy war in my world without it and kitchen is rarely clean. Working full time, caring for my mum, running a home and having 2 kids I reckon a dish washer is an essential item :p. Next door neighbour ( retired mechanic) checked my tyres and said they are legal so will not fail me, he told me to buy rear wiper blade which I did and my brother fixed my headlight which was just a loose connection. So I have done everything I can and will just have to wait and see what happens now.

Going to do my ironing so we have clothes to wear all week. Be back later xx

P.S. Forgot to confess to 1lb on this week. No more chocs to open now lol so hopefully a loss next week.
