Instead of looking at your debt in £10,000 why not break it down into smaller chunks of maybe £1000's and set yourself targets. I know for me seeing it go under another £1000 is very motivating.

  • I will Herewego. I'll look at my next big one being £15k and I can do that according to my snowball by May 2012. I'll try and bring that forward though lol

  • Absolutely amazing what you have managed. I get fed up sometimes trying to do this but then something happens and kicks me in the bum again to get going. The other day it was my internet security that was due to come off of my credit card. I had done a balance transfer and that hadn't happened yet so my card was jsut about at its limit. My bill was stating £50 odd pounds so I paid in £60 to my card to ensure I had enough money to cover it. I then got an e-mail telling me that with taxes my bill was actually £64  and I knew that there was not enough credit on that card to cover it despite my best efforts to sort it out. I felt sick as I was going to get charges BUT as luck would have it the transfer went through on time and I had over £1k credit available. So bill was paid and no charges :D:D. Another BUT is that I want this type of thing to stop!!!!!! I am sick of the juggling and trying to save pennies here and there. I know it's my own fault but OMG I just want it over ASAP. Rant over :rotfl:

Luckily it didnt incur charges but I know what you mean about having to stress about it all the time. Well done on getting below £20k - what an achievement. I want to get below £5k but now may need to be moving and of course that will incur all sorts of extra costs.

All the best for March. :D

Well, the juggling seems to be working for you right now - even if it does get scary from time to time! Keep up the good work, you are getting there!!

  • Will do Hypno. You were an expert juggler for a while. I know it will get better and at least I am in the position that I can pay everything. A lot of poor souls on here are not.

LAM that's a shame but at least you have here and you can do all the expense type things as cheaply as possible with the knowledge you'll have got from coming on here.

Well we have had a sad evening. Our wee hamster died. I noticed it was very still and I got DD to check it and yip it was dead. I thought DS would be distraught but thankfully although sad he is being all grown up about it. Its time was up tbh as it was over 2 yrs old and had been slowing down for a few weeks now.So in typical MSE style we have put her in a box and she is out in the summer house to be buried tomorrow. No more pets .........that is definitely it.:(

Spent £1 today on a bottle of juice at gaelic class. No other spends :D. 3 of my remaining items on e-bay are selling but I have lots of watchers so hopefully by Sunday there will be a few others sold too. All money for the MOT. I am hoping that because I am being all organised and gathering as much money as I can that the car will pass its MOT but sods law it won't. But I am going to be positive becuase if it passes then I can pay quite a chunk off of Argos. Positive thought.....positive thoughts :rotfl:.

Hope you are all well xx

Sorry to hear about the hamster kids are stronger than we think sometimes.
You are doing so well on building an MOT fund I will keep my fingers crossed it passes with flying colours as it would be great to pay a chunk off Argos.
