Sorry I've not been keeping up with your diary MiT but it seems that you have things pretty much under control at the mo - which is all good on so many levels!

hi m-i-t - I dont post on here much but I pop by now and again to see what you're up to - sorry to hear about your health but sounds like prognosis good, and the new diet will have long term effects in other areas too, so perhaps silver linings etc.
Keep up the good work!0 -
hello hello!! Busy wee thread today whilst I have been slogging. Am chuffed on both e-bay front and weight front so
big cheeser. Hypno, I am quite under control at the mo and intend to carry on as long as I can. EB welcome. Health will be fine and tbh I am kinda glad this has happened as I need to sort myself out and this will make me do it. 2 folks in work today commented on the weight I have lost as I have lost 23lbs since November. Still lots to go but clothes defo getting baggier so need to get out the HUGE bag with stuff that is too wee and start trying smaller sizes on. Quite a boost I must say.
I forgot to mention the biggest potential money saving scheme I have discovered and you need to all keep everything crossed for me as I am desperate for it to be successful. My friend stays on the east coast of Scotland and she told me about a scheme in her area to help with central heating grants. I checked it out and they are doing it here too:D. The only criteria to qualify is that you have a child under 16 ( woohoo I have). The grant will cover a new boiler installation by British Gas up to £4k. My boiler is about 12 years old and it is rubbish. They also fit full systems for houses that are under standard. I only have heating downstairs in my house so 3 radiators for a 3 bedroomed house. It has never had heating upstairs. I am sitting at the minute with heating on full and a slanket wrapped around me as I am frozen
. Snowing here AGAIN !! I would be so thrilled if this came off as there is no way in this world that I could even think about getting new heating and normally because I am not on any benefits other than child tax credits I get nothing. So please keep your fingers, eyes, legs and anything else you can manage crossed for me that it comes off.
I have spent £30.50 today. £30 for this weeks lunches for kids and 50p for crisps for DS. I'm still taking food from home and it is working well for me. Hope everyone is well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I've jsut managed to do a balance transfer from SONY to Barclaycard. Got an increase of £1k to Barclaycard so have transferred £990 onto it. That will be @ 6.9% rather than the 29.5% I was paying. This means that even with the reduction in my paymetns I can still manage to pay off ARGOS and Sony this year. Fingers crossed anyway. It has also reduced my DFD by a month and has saved me about £550 in interest overall. Yay I love good news :rotfl:. Cost me £24.75 for balance transfer but saved me mega.
Maybe once I pay off Sony I will get a balance transfer there too. I can see a light................oh it's the end of the tunnel. Way in the distance mind you but it is faintly glimmering.
