:j4lbs off this week. I only really started trying in earnest on Thursday so I am well chuffed with that. Party was good last night and I must say it is grat getting up today without a wooly head. I am eating a huge bowl of porridge at the minute and I am going to work up a sweat doing housework. I have ds's desk to build up today. After that I am going to clear out under my stairs and get started on e-baying some things. I need a wee cash boost to ensure I reach my targets for this and next month. I have to pay for DD's provisional licence in February as it was a part of her Christmas. I think I said before that her dad's partner is giving her free driving lessons so that is
, although I cant stand her :rotfl:. Also my brothers birthday next month. Will be a short month mind you so I should hopefully manage on a smaller shopping budget. There are a few days off school too so I will save on lunch moneys
.
March will be expensive though as I have my mum's birthday and my car is due its MOT . I am pretty sure that I need tyres. Next door neighbour is a mechanic so I will get him to look at them and see. Ok so it's heigh ho from me. Back later x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
:( Just updated my snowball with the interest payments for this month. I paid out £242.14 to cards this month ( not including ARGOS) and only £36.75 has actually come off of the totals. I could cry and scream. This is legal robbery. Doesn't change my dfd but I am well p*ssed off now. Next month's interest is £205.39 so when I pay minimums ( as I am concentrating on ARGOS) I will only pay £51.65 despite paying £257.04 :eek:. !!!!!! if that isn't a motivator for me , then what the h*ll will be :rotfl:. At least once I pay off ARGOS then I can crack on into the interest bearing cards and hopefully this will go down quicker. So am now away with a huge spring in my step to get my butt in gear and sort things out :money:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Phone call there from DD her dad has got her an interview in his local for waitressing. I always think that is a good one for young ones to do as they will always manage to get a job in that line of work to see them through college etc. It's a few miles form here mind you but the train stops right outside it.
That's kitchen and lounge done. Just floors to be hoovered and mopped, Soup and chicken are cooking away nicely. Should be at least 2 dinners and some soup from the chicken so it's well worth the fiver I have paid for it.
wHEN i WAS OUT LAST NIGHT MY FRIEND AND i GOT TO TALKING ABOUT MORTGAGES AND DEBT ETC. hER HUBBIE WAS MADE REDUNDANT LAST YEAR BUT GOT A JOB MORE OR LESS RIGHT AWAY. OOPS CAPS!! This friend is always buying things, goes 2 holidays per year, always doing things to the house etc but I know for a fact she has no debt other than her mortgage. She has always paid her credit card in full so never incurrs interest. The shock got from the conversation is the fact that I earn more than her and her husband together and a few thousand at that:eek::eek:. I was stunned as part of the reason I justify my debt is that I have only 1 income. Well hey ho I cant use that anymore. I'm just sh*t with money :rotfl:. Well not quite true, I am actually amazing with money NOW, I used to be rubbish hence the mess I am in. Her house is stunning, she has endownments coming out next year and she will use that and hubbies redundancy to pay off mortgage. She is not a tightwad either. She never turns up without flowers, sweets for the kids etc. Just goes toshow that a very good lifestyle can be had if you have no debt. I canny wait :rotfl::rotfl:.5 Year plan. oh I have 1 of them too kp lol. I will just work hard and get rid of them. I've applied for a 13 month interest free card from Santander. I thought , what the hell, even if they say no then things are no different than now. I am nervous for some reason though lol. No idea why as it really doesn't matter one way or another. Would be good if i got it as it could potentially save me about £600 in interest if I can transfer either virgin or Sony. So depending on what balance I get , if I get it, then I will decide what to do. Fingers crossed. Would bring my dfd back by another month or so.
. Wish me luck.
Kids came home there as dd had decided to get changed for her wee interview. Ex was left inthe car. Now I was brought up that it was rude to keep folks outside etc and my conscience wouldn't let me leave him there so I told DS to bring him in. I then told DS to make him a cuppa. DS said to me 'is it sugar or salt that you put in tea' I answered with an angelic face' salt son' Ex OH was absolutely gutting himself laughing and so was I. Bad lassie that I am.5 Year plan. It certainly does make a difference to "lifestyle" being debt free.....but only if you ensure that you don't get yourself back into the muddle again!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. No way Hypno. Never ever again. I am reading your diary and keep thinking, Damn if only I had stuck to it when I first started I would be in the same position as you, but it wasn't my time then. I had too much baggage to deal with. I hope it is my turn now and by god I am going to go for it hammer and tongs, with a wee night out every now and again5 Year plan. :j:j DD got part time job she went for today. She's getting a trial next Saturday and wages are not too bad plus there will be tips on top. Well done her. She is definitely a worker my girl. If they make it permanent I can stop the standing order of £25 I pay into her account every month as a clothing allowance
. Just told her I would be doing that and her face is tripping her :rotfl:. She may be a worker but still a selfish teenager :rotfl:. Will need to work on that with her:p .She has just informed me that she will be saving up for her insurance ( to go on my car ). Good job I have no intentions of getting a new one for a few years.
