I think you're doing a great job I've been there. My 2 sons now age 20 & 18 both finished college last year so I lost £700 a month in Tax Credits & Child Benefit. After years of irregular CSA payments I finally got the CSA to obtain a liability order for £6000 arrears of maintenance so was receiving payments of £90 per week but they've just reduced to £50. At least it's getting paid regularly & when I need it most.
Also I inherited my parents house which I decided to rent out for the monthly income rather than sell as it was my childhood home. I use the rental income to pay my own mortgage & overpay by £43 pcm and the CSA money to buy food, toiletries, cleaning products etc. My wages take care of the bills, petrol, insurances etc.
I consider myself fortunate but there's still not much left at the end of the month. Both my sons aren't working eldest is waiting start date for the Army & youngest has just finished an apprenticeship so is unemployed. Don't know what I would have done without CSA & rent but I am aware CSA payments will stop in 18 months so will need to re-evaluate.
Will be my 50th in 41/2 years so a friend & I are paying £20 a month into an account for a luxury holiday as a treat. Got to have something to look forward too.
Do all you can for your mum, I know it's not easy (been there) but it's amazing where you find the strength from.
Regards

hi Sparkle. Hopefully your sone will both be in employment in 18 months and that'll ease things. I hate getting CSA money tbh as I would like to tell ex to shove it :rotfl:but hey ho I need it. It's ridiculous that men think it's okay to just walk away and relinquish their responsibility. Never mind we are strong women and we will win through.
I'm actually sitting wathing the real housewives of beverly hills and the money they have is ridiculous and they just spend spend spend on cr*p. They all look the same with their fake lips, boobs, etc etc. I reckon I'd rather be me. Wee fat woman with no money :rotfl:. At least I'll never have a trout pout.
I try and get as much time as I can with my mum but even though she is really ill she is still obsessed with tidyness and it drives me nuts. I'd like to just go in and sit and chat with her but she always has a list of chores for me to do. I leave her house and it is shing and come home to my hovel. Slight exaggeration
. But then it makes her happy so I just go along with it.

Evening folks. Back at work today so up since 6.15am . Totally shattered. Horrible going back after over a week off
. Never mind I need to work so I better just get on with it and shut up :rotfl:. Only spent 50p today and I'm annoyed at myself for actually spending it as I bought a packet of Walkers mystery crisps and they were so disgusting that I binned them.
Got a call from the doctors today and have to go and get some bloods redone. Receptionist does not know why. I got my kidneys and liver checked last week as I am getting bad pain sometimes and doc was checking me out. I can only assume something has shown up in the tests. I'm hoping it's just s wee infection and it can be fixed quickly.
DS needs a haircut tomorrow so I'll leave him money for that and I owe £8 in work for a couple o things so I will get that paid tomorrow and out the way.Not a lot of money this week but I am going to try and use up the food I have in and buy as little as I can get away with.

Evening folks. I called re council tax today and good news. I still get a discount fro DD until September and then will get a iscount as she is a student
. At least that's 1 less thing to worry about.
Slightly spendy day. DS got a haircut and I had £8 to pay out in work. Still not got the 3 payments of CSA money so now expecting 4 payments and getting angrier all the time about it. This is my money!!:mad:. Bloody ridiculous. I still have a few small things to pick up for DD's birthday and I need that cash.
Anyway I refuse to stress myself out. I try hard not to rely on that money and DD will just have to do without if I don't get the money through so no huge worries.
Doc was at my mum today and doubled her morphine, upped her oxygen, gave her more antibiotics and other mediaction. She told her she will try her best to keep her at home but it's still quite a worry.

Hi folks. Was impossible to come on yesterday as was so busy Went to my mum's straight from work as she was having visitors last night. We had a lovely wee evening and my aunty treated me to a curry
. I put mum to bed and got home after 9. I had been out since 7am so I didn't last long before I was in bed. I am really tired tonight so instead of the housework I had planned I cooked DS and I mince and potatoes for dinner and I have frozen a shepherds pie for another night. It was delish.
I am working all day tomorrow . Usual job that I do with DD on a Saturday and then help my friend with the massive holiday let that she cleans for a couple of hours. I have already paid the £30 I will earn for normal job and I will get paid for the other one next week and will pay that towards debts too. Still got £126 to find this month to reach my target . I can do it , I can do it ( maybe if I say it lots it'll happen :rotfl:)
I ordered DD's cake and it will be £45 :obut OMG they are fabulous. The girl who makes them is so talented. I'm more excited about DD getting her cake than any of her gifts :rotfl:.
DD owes me £214 for her T in the park ticket so that will come off of my totals next week too although I won't count it as part of my target as that would be cheating. I'm really really hoping to get under £15k by the end of the month. That would be so exciting.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi folks. Hope you're having a nice Saturday. I was working this morning and then again in the afternoon. By the time I got there I was in agony with my liver pain. One of my friends gave me diazepam as that is a relaxant and my other friend who is a nurse told me to take one. This I did but it didn't help so I took another one :rotfl::rotfl:BIG mistake. I was trashed :rotfl:. I am only 5'3 and I am really intolerant of drugs. Even 1 co-codamol knocks me out and I took 2 diazepam :rotfl:I could hardly walk and DD had to drive me home. I was slurring my words and was still in pain. Came home and lay down and flaked out. I cannot thole co-codamol so whatever was I thinking of taking diazepam .
I came home and ds was eating caramels so he left me one and I ate it later and happy days I broke my tooth . I wonder how much that will cost me. I need to get on the healthy eating wagon again as I am really making myself ill now and it's peeing me off. It is so so hard to stay on that wagon though.
Not much of a spendy day which is good and £55 earned which is better. I already paid £30 to the CC and will pay the other £25 as well when I get it on Tuesday. So bed for me soon I reckon as I am shattered or maybe still trashed :rotfl::o5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi there. Still miserable today. Eating pain killers and sat on couch with hot water bottle to try and help with the pain. I ate my dinner a while ago and so so uncomfortable now. I think I need to just stop eating :rotfl:. I can't wait to go to the doctors tomorrow night and find out what the hell is going on with my insides as this is just not funny any more
.
Managed to tidy round downstairs today and do a couple of loads of washing but spent rest of day sleeping and lying on couch. DD is out and DS is glad to get peace and quiet to play on his x-box. DD went to aldi for me earlier and stocked up on healthy food stuffs so I stop eating the junk I have been eating the last week. Lots of nice fruit and veg for the princely sum of £23.60. That'll hopefully be it for the week. I am going to try and give up fizzy juice as I am sure that cannot be doing me any good so I will try and drink water or diluting juice. I reckon it'll be harder to give this up than when I stopped smoking . If I really struggle then I will drink the odd bottle of fizzy water. This will save me some money too as we spend loads on fizzy juice.
I have 17 lots finishing on e-bay toniht so fingers crossed I get some cash from that to start DS's clothing fund for France.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
