Well if only folks could have seen my inner smile today when I switched £400 to buy my girl's laptop
. I felt like shouting 'look, I'm paying cash' :rotfl:. What a great feeling and that's what I wnat to feel for the rest of my life rather than sh*t that's more owed on the CC.
Had a very embarrassing moment earlier today when I got to the checkout in Aldi to discover that I had no debit card. I had given it to DD to do my shopping on Sunday and she still had it with her. Luckily I spied my next door neighbours and they paid on thier card. I was redder than a very red thing.
I'm still redder than a very red thing mind you as I walked for an hour around th epark tonight with some friends and it was bitterly cold. I really enjoyed it though and we will make it a regular thing on a Tuesday night in future I reckon.
So I spent £22 in aldi, £7 in ASDA and £400 in Argos today . Palpitation time but my wee mum gave me the £42 for DS's lawyer costs so that was grand5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

My poor girl didn't get a place for architecture at university so she is gutted. She didn't put in for anything else so looks like uni is a non starter for her. I'm kind of glad she didn't get in as it was a 7 year course and she really had no passion for it but I reckon she was doing it to keep me happy. Such a shame as she has really good results and would have got into many other courses but she has no interest whatsoever in anything other than house renovation. Homes under the hammer has a lot to answer for :rotfl:.
Never mind. She has a few college applications on the go so hopefully one fo those will come up or a suitable apprenticeship. She will have 3 A, 2 B and a C pass at higher grade ( A level in England) so its such a shame. Never mind, so long as she gets what she wants in the end and is happy. I'm just gutted that she doesn't want to pursue any other courses. Oh well we can't live their lives for them.
Was out for lunch today with a friend who has been sick. We yapped all afternoon so it was really nice.Only spent tenner as had soup and sandwich. Doing well staying on the healthy eating as the pain is still so fresh in my mind and I don't want it back EVER!! So fingers crossed I can keep it up.
Got 2 loads of was h dried outside today and am doing some more for tomorrow. Internet was down for hours so I managed to get it ironed :rotfl:. I spend way too much time browsing. Oh well I love it.

PAIN !!!!!!:(
I just burnt my belly on the grill :rotfl:. I shouldn't be let loose.
Anyhoo. I've been in mum's nearly al day and did loads of clearing out for her. She is well happy. She wanted loads of stuff taken to the charity shop but I asked if I could e-bay it as I was e-baying stuff to get DS's clothes for his school trip. She said yes of course so I have loads from her. Tomorrow I will be photographing and e-baying all day ( cant wait .........NOT). I also brought loads of photos home to sort through.
Bought a few bits in ASDA on way home so should be okay for the next week food wise.
I've had to text my ex tonight and ask him for a letter saying he agrees to DS's name change so I can get his passport. I'm dreading his reply .
So I'm going to chill tonight as I will be busy listing tomorrow.

Hi. Been busy all day and feel as if I have achieved nothing. Tidied the house. Got DD to take rubbish to the dump and looked at a house
. I'm in love with it. It's a 3 bedroom cottage bungalow, detached. It is on at offers over £45k. DD and I were peering in the windows and the gate to the back garden was opened so we managed to look at the whole house. It is a wreck. BUT I love it !!
It needs everything done to it. It needs a new roof as it has rot in the rafters and you can see the roof bowing. The chimneys need removing but they are small so shouldn't cost that much to take down. Needs new ceilings, possibly floors and internally has damp so probs needs a damp course. It was built in 1900 and did I mention that I love love love it. If I was 2 years down the lne and had paid off my debt then I would snap it up. The gardens are massive. The front one has tarmac and would be perfect for off road parking. Here's a wee link if you want a look see- http://www.sbproperty.co.uk/index.php?zinc=property_view&prop_id=1020&keywords=Jamestown%20houses%20For%20Sale and the back one is really long and just fabulous. * Sigh*
Damn this debt. DD and I had a long chat about her college and her future plans and I said to her that a house like that in 2 years time we would snap it up. She wants to property develope so her and I will go into partnership until I am ready to retire. This will allow me to increase what I can spend on a flat or a wee cottage for me once the kids leave home. At the minute I am very limited due to 3 things. 1) the debt 2) the amount I can borrow and 3) my age means I can only get a mortgage for a limited period of time i.e 21 years ( oh thats not quite as bad as I thought actually) . So for the next 2 years I am going to bust a gut and get debt free and then when DD is ready to go out and work we will get started on our business. I love having a goal and dreams. Its the way forward.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
I've been staring at my snowball as I am wont to do and to fulfil my dreams of going into business with my daughter then I needed to bring my DFD forward by 10 months. To do this I have added £155 per month onto what I pay just now . It's going to be tough . So I paid £35 tonight and that's £43.70 so far :rotfl:. My minimums will be another £365 so that leaves a balance of £246.30 to find . My part time job will cover £105 so now down to £141.30. Easy peasy
:rotfl:.
In fact it may be easy if I get the CSA through as that will more than cover it.

Bored out of my head . Worked all morning and been e-baying the rest of the day. 18 items on turbo lister ready to download tomorrow evening. Took me hours and hours as had to work out how to use turbo lister and then had to correct all my mistakes
. Never mind it's done now and I now know how to use the lister which is actually pretty good once you get started. I love how you can list and then leave it. I will list as I find things now and upload on free listing weekends
DD has an interview for a part time job with New Look. She is very excited as she loves that shop more than life itself and they get a 50% discount when they work there. If she gets it I may have to stop the job I do on a Saturday morning as it would take me twice as long and I always go to my mum's on a Saturday. I'll see how it goes.It would mean another £25 per week towards me debts. Hmmm. I'll decide when I have to.
Just discovered that one of my CC payments not actually due until 2nd May so I will pay the £20 that I put aside for it to my BOS card which is the focus for the moment.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Happy Easter folks :EasterBun .I hope you all had a nice day
. I spent the day with my mum and my kids. Had a lovely day but dont think she is too well again
. Quite hard to tell now tbh as she is poorly all the time.and a dip is difficult to notice. I'll either pop in tomorrow or I'll make sure my brother checks up on her closely when he is in. I'll call her in the morning and gauge it from there.
Bought DD a blouse and accessories today for her interview on Wednesday. i hardly ever buy her anything so I was happy to spend the £22 on her. She's a good girl.
My son did a charity gig today. The kilt walk was held and thousands of the tartan army walked from Hampden to Balloch, a distance of 26 miles. My son (14) was the sweeper at the back with my brother on the bikes with the radios to make sure everyone ot to the finish safely. He's had a great day but his b*tt is sore :rotfl:. Very proud of him. He loked so grown up in his hi viz jacket all wired up with his radio . Looked like a young cop.
I'm starting to get a bit concerned at how money is going to go for me in the next few months. My pension contribution has gone up by £50 per month, my mortgage will be going up by about £30, when DD leaves school I will lose child benefit, tax credits, maintenance and single persons allowance for my council tax which will equate to about £350 per month ( sh*t just realising how much it will be). Ok panic mode now . How the f*ck am I going to manage?????????. Massive belt tihtening needed I reckon as I think I will lose my part time job too which will be another £120 a month. I know I can stretch a pound but even I'm not that good . I could just cry5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
