  • Happy mothers day folks I hope you are all having a nice day.

I got up before my 'lovely' teenagers so no brekkie in bed for me. In DS's defence he asked last night when I would be getting up today and I told him not to come near me before 10.30 so I can't complain about that. Got nice cards and pressies from both kids but the 2 of them then sat there and watched me doing the housework. DD's face is like a skelped !!!!! as she is arguing with her boyfriend and her ex friend. DS washed the car when I asked him and DD just sat and narked at him. I blew up at her and said she was very unpleasant and this was supposed to be my day and it would be very nice if she could at least be pleasant to folks and like a stroppy teenager I have not spoken since it. I have tidied and hoovered lounge and hall, DD eventually moved her bum and tidied up the kitchen so house is not too bad now.

I will get dressed and hang washing out as sun is shining and then head into my mum's. We're all going in today and getting takeaway. I am not sure what to have due to my healthy eating but I reckon a chow mein would be best. Unfortunately need to have a moan about this a sit will cost a fair penny and I was told this was what was to happen rather than asked which annoyed me a bit. Never mind. Small price to pay to spend the day with all the family :D. It might be the last mothers day I have my mum here :(.

So I best get on and sort myself out for the day.

  • I hope everyone has had a nice mothers day :). Mine ended up lovely. Mum was so pleased to see us all and was delighted with her gifts. I had gotten her loads of daffodils which are her favourites and some sweets and a couple of tops. < £20 for the whole lot so not too bad at all. Also only spent £10 on dinner so that was good as well. I think I came out the best in that one :o. Hey ho I am the one who is skintest so c'est la vie. I bought batteries today so got £10 worth for £6 so that was good.

Just chillin now and going for a wee bath soon :D

  • Good evening folks. Not been a big spender today :D. The usual £6 for kids lunches and £1.50 for me for baked potato. I desperately needed carbs at lunch time as I was starving.

I got my Halifax bill in and due to transferring £1500 and paying off £140 my payment has reduced from £68 per month to £46 :D even better the interest has gone down by £9 per month but its all from the big interest rate of 16.94%. I wish I knew how to work out how much I still owe that attracts that rate so I can work my bu*t off to pay it off. Then I would only have debt at 5% left on it :D. TBH it doesn't really matter that much I just need to get on with it and pay it ASAP.

Don't think I mentioned but ex has yet again changed his job . That'll explain why my payments have been all over the place :(. I'm dying for the day when I no longer need to look to him to get money for the kids and I can just remove him from my life completely as he is just an !!!!! and not worth one minute of my thoughts. So I will be back to being MEGA skint agin but hey ho I am good at doing skint ;). Kids aren't so good at it mind you :rotfl:. I refuse to get upset about it!!!

Going to have an easy night tonight as am tired. Been a busy day today so am just kicking back now and chilling. I had a yummy dinner of gammon steak, mash and mashed turnip so I am like a wee budda sitting here. Take care and keep scrimping :rotfl:xx

  • Hi guys. I am in a bad place today. Less bad than yesterday but still bad. Was so excited yesterday as mum had offered me money to do something nice and my friends and I decided to o to Amsterdam. The day was spent in much excitement texting back and forth all about it. I couldn't stop grinning as I was so excited at the thought of a weekend away from it all. I then went into Mum's to make her dinner and she tells me that she needs a new oxygen machine with a higher output than the one she has but worse than that she is getting started on morphine :(. Now I know it is only a small dose but all I can hear in my head is the doctor speaking to us back in November and telling us that she would start mum on morphine nearer the end :(. I'm just not ready for this and as I said I am not in a good place just now. I hate this.

I feel so sorry for her. She is now struggling to even stand up to move onto the commode, she just wants to go to bed. She talks to me with her eyes closed as she is so exhausted and I am so worried that with the morphine she will just start slipping away from me. Am devastated xx Sorry but I need to be all brave in real life and I just want to have a tantrum and cry my eyes out

  • Oh my lovely. She needs you and you need to know that being with her now, sharing your excitement over your trip will help her so much. Whats worse is you are so aware of the chain of events which have to happen. It's so obvious to me, and anyone else who reads your posts of the amazing bond you have. Come here to cry and be strong for mum and kids. You can do it Xx sending many hugs Xx
