  • Well no hospital thankfully. Need to confess again though as not only did I buy my lunch today in work, I bought my breakfast too . !!!!!! I am losing it :rotfl:. spent £4.85 in all :(. £12 to kids which covers today and tomorrow's lunch and £30 to DD for her school leaver dance .

Very strange thing. I called the tax credits to report a rise in wages and I am now getting £11 more per week ?? what's that about?? Not complaining mind you as it all makes a difference. So tonight I have been through the freezers to see what I have and I have written a menu until next Friday. I have done a list and it should cost me under £25 :D. I really really need to stick to my list though as I want to keep as much money as I can so that I have enough (just incase) for my MOT. It's concerning me a wee bit as my car is 6 this tear so getting on a wee bit. I also really really want a new carpet too :D. I know I should just pay it to the debt so I might try and steam clean my carpet and see how that turns out.

The other thing is that although I balance transferred my Virgin card there is £134 still on it so I want to clear that and close the account ASAP as in 6 months time MBNA will hopefully be ripe for another balance transfer when my BOS one runs out. That's the plan anyway :D. Anyway to bed for me now. Take care xx

    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43

  • Evening folks. Checking in a bit earlier tonight :D. Heading to bed soon as knackered.

Busy wee day today. Headed out at 7.30am and home by 7pm . Work then mum's then ASDA. Spent £36.81 in ASDA so not too bad but that's my yearly total up to £801.69 . I have set myself a target of £3k for year :rotfl:. Not doing so well so far. Should be at 1k at end of April to be on track. Ho hum. 2 hungry and thirsty teenagers does not make for a cheap shopping experience. However tonight I have been a total frugalista and made 4 dinners for pennies :D. I bought a pack of 8 slices of lorne sliced sausage and I have made 3 meals from this in the slow cooker for DS and I. I also made chicken fried rice and goujons for dinner from rice I had frozen ages ago, a cooked chicken breast from the freezer and some ham from the fridge. All just bits and bobs that were lying about and it was lush. The sausage casserole smells fab-u-lous too and I will make mash with it tomorrow for dinner.

Was annoyed at DD though. Her and her BF had an afternoon free from school today and despite me giving her lunch money today she came home snd used a whole pack of bacon and 4 rolls for their lunch. I had the bacon earmarked for a meal so I was raging at her. There was cold meat, cheese, eggs etc in the fridge that she could have used instead . Anyways I doubt she will do it again any time soon .

I hope CSA money comes in soon as I have just enough money in my account to pay everything due to come out so need some cash to get petrol etc. I don't want to have to dig into my savings if I can get away with it. Fingers crossed the money will be there tomorrow.

I hope everyone is well x

  • Evening :). So tired tonight and may just curl up on couch and sleep or may just go to bed and sleep until morning :D.

Not spent much today. Just lunches and a couple of pound in a donation box at my friend's mums funeral. £20 on petrol too but I'm not taking my car to work next week so hopefully that will do . No CSA money yet but next week is week 4 with no money and I am just about to go down the complaints route yet again. I am absolutely sick to death of this. How am I meant to do a budget? Anyway hopefully it'll be through on Monday. I'll just need to borrow from my savings again.

I still have £143 to find to meet my snowball amount this month . Oh well never mind this debt free journey would be no fun if it wasn't a challenge now would it?

  • Evening. Spent today working and at mum's so having a wee sit down now. Only spent £10 today so not so bad. TBH none of the spends were necessary so my bad. Kids wanted rolls and sausage and choccy biscuits and it was very easy to talk me into it today. Earned £25 so am going to pay it off of CC.

Tomorrow will be a spendy day. Meeting friends for lunch in Glasgow so £7 for train fare and then probs about £15 for lunch. DS needs new trainers as his toes have come through the ones he has just now. They have lasted him for months though so I can't really complain. He also needs new school shirts . So tomorrow I will need to spend about £70 on him which I had not budgeted for. Never mind it has to be done. I also have to get myslef trousers as I have nothing that fits me :(. So that'll be another £25 no doubt. Oh well I'll borrow from my savings and make it up before the end of the month. ( still cant believe I have savings :D)

Hope everyone has a nice weekend xx

  • Thanks KP it's nice to be told that you're doing ok every now and again. It' s easy to forget mid month that you're doing okay as no money really going out. Mum is doing okay at the minute again. Each time she gets an infection though something else goes. This time she is asking to get her nightie on at dinner time as getting changed for bed and getting into it all at the same time is just too exhausting for her :(. All small things but such a shame.

Bit of a spendy day today. Trainers had to be bought for ds as he had burst his BUT I managed to get a pair of adidas in JJB sale for £20 :D:j. I was really expecting to be at least £50. I got him 3 new school shirts from Primark for £15. His are disgusting and I just couldn't let him wear them any longer. He can still wear them next year so not too bothered about having to buy them. I bought DD one too as hers are getting done as well but she leaves school soon but the blouse would do for interviews etc so a good but. Me ? I got nothing :rotfl:.

I had a nice lunch with my friend but have felt ill since :( my own fault. Since I got my gallbladder out if I eat too much fatty food I get really bad pain in my side. Yesterday I ate rolls and sausage with onion, then macaroni and cheese for dinner and when I went out today I had an all day breakfast . My body just can't cope with all that fatty food. So I am regretting it now :rotfl:. Had ibuprofen, co-codamol and have a hot water bottle on the bit where the pain is and feeling more comfortbale now. Need to start healthy eating again tomorrow for sure :p.

I hope eveyone is well xx

  • Good evening. Weather is on the turn :D. Heating is off :D. Might need to put it back on later but not cold just now.

Been a hungry day today. Have to basically stop eating when sore so I have had a very small bowl of dry cereal, a cupasoup, a cup of home made soup and a dry roll. Pack of velvet crunch and spag bol for dinner. Everything okay so far so fingers crossed it stays like that :).

Walked down to Aldi tonight which is about 30 minutes walk. DD picked me up when I was finished. Spent £16.50 on fruit, veg and yogurt. Spent £6 on kids lunches and £1.00 for my soup and roll. No other spends although annoyingly the £20 of petrol I put in the car at the weekend seems to have gone. DD swears she never used it . Humph!

Anyway nothing else going on xx

  • hi there. Not been on all week. Naughty me but been mega busy.
Car went in for its MOT on Wednesday but it failed :(:(. £217.57 later it is back on the road :(. Now the positive side of that is that my wee mum paid it for me and my petrol consumption should go down :D. My front and rear brakes were knackered and also my handbrake was seized on so I was driving with my brakes on . I knew there was something wrong :rotfl:. Car feels fabulous now though so hopefully that will be me for a while :D

I have been so good this week. I have only spent £3.72 all week on my lunches :D. I have been uber healthy this week and feel so much better for it. My liver has calmed down and no more pain. I went to doc and he reckons I have a touch of IBS as well and I have broken out in rosacea on my face so I have antibiotic cream for that. I look a total babe :rotfl::eek:. NOT :rotfl:.

I need to find another £98 this month to reach my snowball target and I am short by £757.34 to reach my quarterly target for my £10k in 2012. Oh well I am doing my best :p. I will try and cut back a bit more and see what I can do.

I hope everyone is well x

  • Happy St Patricks day folks :D

The sun is shining here and what a difference it makes. I have had a mega busy day today and am shattered tonight. Am hoping for a lazy day tomorrow since it is Mother's day :D.

Worked this morning and paid the money into my CC. Bought petrol and a couple of bits from ASDA. Got my mum 2 tops as she is bloated due to the amount of steroids she is on :(. Bought myself a top too as I am like a tramp these days and really really need to get some clothes for myself. My top wass only £8 but its nice and cheery so I will wear it tomorrow.

I then went to my mum's and went to Morrisons for her shopping. Brought it back to hers and put it all away. Then realised her house was pretty dirty and discovered that her housework hadn't been done as her cleaner is sick. I then cleaned her whole house and made us our dinner. So 2 houses cleaned today but neither of them was mine :rotfl:. I dont think I am destined to have a spotless home but hey ho no doubt when kids are gone then it'll be spanking clean and I will be bored ;).

So spends not too bad today and everything was necessary.

Mum was asking me today what I was doing about a holiday this year but I told her I was just going to have a holiday at home. My brother will be away when I have my 2 weeks off so I will need to attend to mum so I cant book to go away :(. Never mind it would just cost me money anyway. So she has said she is gong to give me money anyway to get myself something :D. I cant put it towards the debt as she will want to know what I've bought so I will just need to spend it :D. I desperately need shoes so I will buy a couple of pairs of V comfy ones for over the summer and I think I will put any excess away for a stay at home holiday. I am going to have a look at whats on in and around Loch Lomond and the kids and I will have a great time. I cant wait.

So I am going to see what is on at the theatres in Glasgow, go a trip up the loch on the boat, go and see the islands on the loch and generally just chill in the local area. I think it i thebest idea ever :rotfl:
