  • SBO I need to lose wieght rather than want to . I love my grub. So difficult to do it htough as everything sociable is based around food and drink and I am a sociable person. I live butter and llove creamy sauces but will just have to heave ho the butter and use either creme fraiche or natural yogurt in my sauces :(:(. Just not the same though . not overly bothered about the wine but I does love me cider ( said in suitable Devonshire accent) and with the summer coming in I love a wee cider with ice of an evening. But hey ho I just can't do it anmore until I fix this. It wont be forever anyway. Once I get back to a normal blood count then I can have the odd treat and if the weight has gone by then then I can enjoy myself within reason. So lots of reasons to get a move on and sort myself out once and for all.

One of my friends in work split from his wife just 6 months after they got married. I had told him they weren't suited before he got married but he didn't take me on. Apparently now I have been having an affair with him . I wonder if I enjoyed myself :rotfl:. I just laughed as he is much younger than me and said 'yeah we stop every morning in a layby on way to work for some fun' I told him about it on way home tonight and he said he will jsut say ' well you have MIT to thank or my mood in here would be even worse'. Seriously you can't even talk to a guy but everyone has you lusting after him.

Anyway still no CSA money in. It was authorised yesterday apparently so should be there soon. It better be as I have £45 to pay on Friday for a cake and we are down to 1 freezers worth of food and I get antsy when the food is getting low

No spends today other than kids lunches so thats good:D

Good to hear you are feeling better MIT. I may not weigh as much but Im finding it really difficult to do anything other than stay the same at the moment  and thats even with some gym work :mad:, Food is just too appealing.

  • Just helped DD complete an apprentice application form to apply for painting and decorating. Closing date was today so she just made it . She completed her form and then I hacked it to bits :rotfl:. Her version was rubbish. I thought that schools included some of this in the curriculum but obviously not. I have a fair bit of experience in form filling as I have helped staff to complete forms in the past for promotion etc but I just hope I haven't made it too adulty ( it is a word in my world lol) if you know what I mean. Oh well we will soon find out. I just really really hope she gets something.

  • Hey I think if your daughter has taken the time to consult someone who knows more, and has taken their advice, that shows a willingness to learn which is worth its weight in gold.

Good luck with the diet. I love my food too. x

  • Well DD has been invited to sit the test for the apprenticeship which she should sail through hopefully. I have discovered tonight that my cousin then gets involved in the interviews etc :D. 1st year wages are about 12k as well which would be fabulous.

Anyway tomorrow is DD's 18th birthday . I went out today and bought her a fabby bag, a dress , jewellery and perfume on top of the £400 I paid for her laptop :eek: BUT ................drum roll...................all paid in cash :D:D:D. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow as I have made a huge fuss for her and lounge is fullof balloons and decorations and looks fab. She will be so pleased. My bessie mate was up tonight and told me how proud she was of me and how well I do as a mum. I was feeling quite emotional and it meant a lot for her to say that to me. DD is really excited :D. I think I am worse mind you.

Been angelic food wise again today so everything going in the right direction again.

I have been paid £30 today for part time job and will get £35 tomorrow but I have had to use this to pay for cake and gifts but when I get the CSA money through I will pay it off of my CC immediately :D Fingers crossed the money goes in tomorrow. Anyways I need to hang up my washing and then bed as busy busy day tomorrow.

P.S I had to laugh today as I have spent a fortune on DD and then went to the charity shop for my outfit :rotfl:. Got a brand new top from per una for £7 , was £35 originally and also got a Morgan bag ( brand new) for £8 so I was very pleased with that.

  • Morning folks. Well what a fab day we had yesterday. DD's 18th birthday and I pulled out all the stops for her :D. She's a great girl though and never gives me a bit of bother so she is worth every penny. I bought her a laptop and a few other things which when I am so skint is probably OTT but to h*ll with it. It's not heer fault I am an eejit with money.

She had a lovely morning and I then let her have the car for school. Her friends bought her a birthday cake. She went for lunch with her 2 best friends. She then came home and we all got ready to go out for dinner with my mum and brother and his family. Her BF was with us too. We had a great time. Then at midnight she went off to Alton Towers for the day. She'll be home at midnight tonight. Alton Towers is a good 7 hours drive from here but she was just so excited and happy all day. She was stunning in her outfit last night and thankfully she is now groeing into the classy look rather than the brassy look :rotfl:. I had curled my hair and was looking all rock chick like and DS said to me I looked lovely ( defo stretching things there ) and I said 'well I thought I'd better make an effort' He then said to me quite nonchalantly 'well you should do it more often' cheeky git :rotfl::rotfl:

My house is pretty trashed now and the washingis piled up. I need to go into my mum's this afternoon so I best get on. I am nowhere near what I need to pay this month to keep up with my snowball but DD owes me £130 and £240 should be in from CSA on Monday or Tuesday so hopefully I can catch up then. No money to buy groceries mind you but we will just have to manage on what we have and we always have cake :rotfl:. Have a great day folks xx

  • Well I did some shopping. I had £30 in my purse and took in £13 of change. Shopping was £36 so all is well but things are so tight I can't really stretch any further. But I swear my mum has a sixth sense as whilst I was at the supermarket getting both of our shopping she put £200 in my account :D. Now I would have tried to sneak some of that into my CC but she has insisted I treat myself. So I am going to use it to treat myself but for things I would have had to do anyway. I have broken a tooth and it will probably need a crown and I also desperately need new glasses. I am starting to really struggle with my reading and have had to enlarge the font on my kindle so I can see it comfortably :rotfl:. I also really think I need specs for driving so the £200 will be quite easily spent.I'm so glad she didn't tell me before I went shopping as I would have just filled the freezer.

She was apoor soul today as she was knackered after being out last night. It takes way too much out of her now. She said she is not going out at night again as it is too much for her :(. She will hopefully pick up a bit tomorrow. I'm not in at her tomorrow but I will check with my brother how she is after he is in.

DD and I are working tomorrow but she will be knackered. She has travelled overnight and been at Alton Towers all day, Travelling back now and due to arrive at midnight then wants to go and meet her frineds at the dancing . Oh well I suppose ou are only 18 once:D

  • Blinking eck, what a marvellous time to have at 18. You should be proud of giving her a wonderful birthday.

I think getting a crown on and a new pair of specs is hardly treating yourself, but you need those sorting. x Your mam loves you so much.
