Miserable with a snottery cold. Thought it was my hay fever playing up but unfortunately a full blown headachy yucky nose type cold. I reckon I am so tired these days that I am just catching everything that's going.
Well I was right about Santander. £1 per day when in overdraft . Thankfully it's only them that I have an overdraft with so no other overdraft charges. So that'll be £240 charges in a year  which is 48%. They can raffle their donuts as I am not paying that to anyone. Daylight robbery if you ask me. So I will be concentrating any overpayments on that and get rid of it ASAP. Hopefully I can get rid by end of June. I'll have a bloody good bash at it anyway. I tidied up both bank accounts and put £12 into a savings account and when it reaches £550 I'll get the overdraft paid off and then make sure I never go back into it again.
I need to tighten my belt again as I have let it loosen a wee bit and I really don't want to lose sight of where i want to get to.

Does anyone fancy running away??
My reason for running away is that ex has cut the maintenance from £78 per week to £25 . Not a single thing I can do about it either as he has put in a change in his circumstances so he is covered until July as they are unable to enforce payment whilst a change has been reported and they get 15 weeks to deal with it . I am peed off  but it will not ruin my life as this has been happening to me because of him for the last 13 years. I just can't stand him as he is just not a man as far as I am concerned.
So belts will be tightened yet again. I'll be bloody choking if I keep up with this :rotfl:. I'll just carry on as best I can and try my hardest. If it takes me a bit longer to get there then c'est la vie. That man has wrecked enough of my life and he is not getting 1 minute more. Am away to play with my snowball now :rotfl:

Awww hugs MIT I would say what a !!! but we all know that!
Good to see you are going to work through this.:j0 -
Hi folks. Well we had snow today. Yes you are reading correctly we had snow :eek:. Not a lot I must admit but unless there is another ash cloud and no-one has told us then it was definitely whit rain aka snow . So own up, who has been playing about with the weather as I'm not happy
.
Other news in MIT household is that we went prom dress shopping today. Did we get said prom dress ?? That would be a no
. In DD's defence the choices were awful. They were either really old fashioned or they were so short that you would see her dinner if she bent over :rotfl:. So back to the drawing board as far as dresses are concerned.
We managed to get DS loads of things for France though. My mum had given me £150 to get him shoes and a jacket. I bought him 2 pairs of converse, 2 pairs of shorts, 4 t-shirts and 2 pairs of lounge pants. I am getting there with his stuff and will wait until my next pay and get him the rest of what he needs. It was really nice to see him in nice clothes. He dresses like a tramp normally and only likes joggers and t-shirts but looks so handsome when he makes an effort. I can't wait until he discovers girls ( or boys although he swears he is no longer gay :rotfl:) and he might enjoy looking good and being clean .
So suffice to say I am now skint and we will need to tread carefully to get through the month. Never mind. We always get there ............just5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hmm I thought I had posted yesterday but obviously not. I have discovered mahjong and everything else is being neglected.
Well I am yet again back on the healthy eating wagon. My son looked up fatty liver disease on the internet and I got a massive talking to from him. I tried to poo poo him and he nearly burst into tears. He was saying 'Mum you can die from this if it gets worse' and he said 'I don't want you to die, please mum' so what can I do? I just have to do as he asks as I am not going to watch him being upset. My kids have never asked me to lose weight or anything but did beg me years ago to stop smoking ( which I did ) and now this. Oh well if it works for me then great as I would be delighted to lose weight for whatever reason. So tonight we have cooked ham, potatoes and cauliflower for dinner. I am starving as had a salad roll and cup a soup at lunch so I am off to dish it up and enjoy it. Hope you are all well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Good morning folks. Happy strike day to all us civil servants
. I won't be smiling mind you when the wages come in.
I'm managing to pay bits and bobs off of my overdraft but because of ex withdrawing payments it is definitely harder than before.BUT in saying that I am sometimes better when I am challenged. I was getting a bit soft there because I could loosen the purse strings a bit so maybe this will be a good thing for me as once all the cash for DD stops then I will need to use all my money skills to manage. If she gets the apprenticeship she will get paid and that means she will hand in dig money but if she ends up at college then there will be no income from her or for her :eek:.
I'm a bit annoyed at myself that I am still in debt as when I started this journey in July 2007 my target to clear my CC's was Nov 2009 . Well I effed that up royally :rotfl:now my very best scenario is May 2014. So I have added 5 years of paying interest because I am basically stupid. So just to torture myself further I was paying about £170 per month in interest ( not including the normal payments) which equates to £10,200 I have paid in interest over the 5 years. Was it worth it? Have I got lots of lovely things to show for it? Have I h*ll . Idiot!!
Well no more and I can hand on my heart say I have not used a credit card for 6 months now:money::j. I am hoping that I have at last broken the habit. If I'm skint then I'm skint and that's all there is to it. I was never skint when I had a card and look where it has got me. That money I paid in interest could have taken the kids and I away on a brilliant holiday every year. Never mind, onwards and upwards and in 2 years I WILL be debt free. 100% !!

Just spent a pleasant hour looking through my first diary and it has motivated me hugely. It even gave me a few laughs. So I have gone through my food cupboards and written down everything we have and I have menu planned for the next week rather than just heading down to ASDA and throwing stuff into my trolley, which unfortunately I have gotten back into the habit of doing and that's why my food bill has rocketed. So I am taking control again and I will do my damndest to get that back on track. TBH I am getting annoyed at DS anyway as he is just like a termite and eats everything in front of him. By the time I came home from work yesterday he had already eaten super noodles and then a bowl of ice cream . He also ate most of his dinner but jeezo I will be bankrupt if he keeps this up :rotfl:. So my plan is that I am not going to buy any junk in so he cant eat it all. So meal plan for week is
Today:- Spag bol
Fri- Stewed sausage,mash and veg
Sat- corned beef hash
Sun- Mum's
Mon-Fish cakes, pots and veg for me, chicken strips, waffles and beans for kids
Tues - Curry ( me) burgers, chips and spaghetti for kids
Wed- sausage rolls and chips
Fri- Sweet chilli and garlic chicken and rice
That should use up a fair bit of my stock and when I make the stewed sausages I am going to make a few batches for the freezer. So I am being Mrs Organised today and long may it last :cool:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
