Me on the other hand :rotfl:. I have the emptiest wardrobe in the world but hey ho my time will come of that I have no doubt. In am glad I have travelled this journey though s it will stop me from ever being so stupid again.

    Completely agree on both counts!
  • :j TGIF :j. I'm off now until Wednesday :j. So happy :D.

Got the hospital with DS on Monday but will have the afternoon to myself. Got eye test and DD's leaver mass on Tuesday so not much time for me then but it will be a lovely wee day and I just cannot wait to get my glasses.

I've got a guy coming to price a job in my garden for me. My gate has fallen off, my shed door is hanging off and my roof felt has come off my summer house. All jobs that really need dona and I can't do any of them myself. So I'll wait and see what they will charge me for it and get it done. I would really love to level off my garden at the back as my friend has loads of slabs and I could get them for nothing and patio the half of it and just keep a small piece of lawn. I would just love to do that but it would no doubt cost me an arm and a leg. I would also love to get my front garden into 2 levels as it is on a big slope and drives me nuts as I just can't do anything with it at all. I kind of grudge the money for this at the minute but they are jobs where if I leave it much longer the cost will rise further so it makes sense to just bite the bullet and get it done just now.

Spent £68 in Iceland today but I filled a half chest freezer and got loads of cheap goodies and some juice for the kids so it is all good. That shuld see me through for a while now. I was not comfortable with how low my food stash had fallen to :p. We didn't even have any cheese :eek:and we are all mice. Never mind we have some now and I managed to do everything I wnated to for DD's birthday and not sink :D.

Am looking forward to a nice wee weekend now with my family. Hope everyone is well x

    May 2013 new beginnings:j
  • :D What a gorgeous morning it is here in Bonny Scotland. Still freezing mind you but glorious. Yesterday was mega busy but a good wee day.

Spent all morning cleaning my house so it is nice and shiny now :D. Went into my mum's all afternoon. DS and I went for her shopping and I bought him a jacket, top and shorts ( top and shorts for his FRance trip). £47 in all for the clothes. But he desperately needed a new jacket so I got one that'll hopefully see him though until the end of school.

DS and I went out for dinner to the local all you can eat Indian restaurant :D......delish and then went to the pics to see the avengers. Film was very funny and lots of fighting scenes for DS. Spent loads mind you but I hardly ever et time to myself with DS so it was worth every penny spent. DD had a few friends up as a late celebration of her 18th and then they all went to the dancing. So all in all a great day all round.

Today will be spent ironing and gardening :(. DS will cut the grass and I am going to teach him how to weed and generally tidy etc so that he can more or less take over the gardening duties from me :D. He's not happy but too bad.

my nose is running like a burn this morning but not sure if I have a cold or if it is hayfever.I'll need to be careful as if it is a cold I'll need to watch for my mum as she is quite poorly just now. Whilst sitting in the pictures last night it kind of hit me again that I'll be losing her soon. Althouh I know it's going to happen and there's nothing I can do about it it still knocks me for 6 when realisation hits. It's funny how you can just carry on as if everything is normal and then BAM it hits you like a truck again. Feeling quite teary today but I'm sure that is normal. So I'll away and do my ironing and cheer myself up ....................NOT xx

Glad the avengers was good, heading there with dd in a wee while.

I understand somewhat how you must be feeling about your mum, mine is away visiting my brother for the weekend and this morning I went to mass with the kids (both are altar servers) and because I was sitting alone thoughts of how this was going to feel when she is gone were running through my head and I was fighting the tears. :o

Get a grip woman I thought to myself, she's not gone and hopefully won't be for a while longer but good god it was very real and very upsetting, think I'm turning into a bit of a fruit loop!
Anyway makes me appreciate her even more even though she is getting a bit deaf and fun to take grocery shopping :D

PS I'll happily volunteer to do your ironing, I love it - my mum says I am definitely not her daughter lol x
  • Damn!! Wish I had read that earlier as ironing all done now. 3 lots of wash out though so there will be more in this never ending launderette that I appear to be running :rotfl:.

My kids were alter servers years ago too but DS only did it a couple of times and the last time he did it I wanted to absolutely murder him. He was sitting at the side and was swaying all over the place and his eyes were rolling in his head and I jumped up to catch him before he fainted and he wouldn't move from the alter as he was 'just kidding'. So there was I on the alter trying to get him to come off, the poor priest was trying to carry on with mass and I just wanted to drop down dead on the spot with embarrassment :rotfl:. I can laugh now but OMG at the time I swear I was so angry I was going to skelp his backside and it was a good job I had a half hour to calm down before I got my hands on him.

  • Nearly payday again so here are my numbers for April:

Interest paid = £21.07 ( check out this time last year :D)
Paid off this month £737.02 (£214 was what DD owed so actually £523.02) so that's an underpayment this month of £107.98 :(of my £630 target to meet my snowball. Never mind I did have a very expensive month and also actually managed overpayments so all is well.

Total owed is £14,847.47 :j. I really feel as if I'm getting there now.

    So spends this month are

Shopping - £293.08 up by £7.76 on last month
    Miscellaneous - £116.92 up by £37.77
    Lunches - £101.35 down by £97.17
    Petrol - £105.01 down by £34.85
Gifts - £527.30 :o up by £365.16 ( hope that is down next month)
    Socialising- £62.50 down by £12.50
    Clothes - £101.82 up by £33.82

I have an annual target for each of these headings and am over on gifts already but I am way under for socialising so I am going to transfer £400 over from that to gifts. That should make things less tight and I can still be there or thereabouts on spends for the year. I am getting so geeky about this :rotfl:but I don't care because it is working just dandy and I think the downward trend in my totals shows that it is :D. So there you go. Thanks for reading :o

  • Jelly. You probably are worried about nothing but at least the hospital will give you some much needed answers and you will know what you are dealing with. When are you going? It's funny how you can become online friends with people you have never met and tbh the folks who read my diary know more about my innermost thoughts, debts etc than my real life friends do. This is mainly because I don't want to burden my real life friends and family and on here is a great place to vent. :)

  •:mad:@ Santander. They are greedy gits. I have a £550 overdraft with them and I have always paid £10 per month for this privilege :o. Today I have checked and I have £20 to pay this month. I have written to ask them why as I can't find anything telling me about this.Looks like they have adopted the £1 per banking day charge every day I am in overdraft, which is every day as I never get out of it. So if the case is that the charge will be £20 per month then I will be paying £240 per year for a £550 overdraft .... I don't think so . So I will await a reply and if that is the case then my overdraft will be my priority debt as it will be my most expensive debt by far.

Payday today :D so it's been a it of a spendy day. Had DS at Yorkhill for his ear check up and we have a wee treat from the shop when we go in there and stop at a burger van on the way back. It's tradition and no way was I breaking it for the sake of a few pounds. DS has had umpteen ops on his ear so it is a bug deal for him and these wee treats make him forget how cr*p it is for him having to go all the time. No op this time :D. He was offered one ut we will wait 6 months and see how things go. Personally I don't think it is necessary. I then picked up DD from school as she had a half day and took her for lunch :D. Was great as we rarely do anything like that. We then went to ASDA and picked up the bits and pieces of food we needed and got some towels for DS for his France trip, a pair of chinos and 6 pairs of boxers. I still have a fair few things to get for him but I will get them over the next 6 weeks. I'll need to make a list. My mum said she will give me £100 to buy him converse and a jacket but I will try as hard as I can to get him 2 pairs of converse and a jacket for that :rotfl:.

Going to the school tomorrow for DD's leavers mass . I can't believe it is this time already. I remember making plans and thinking where my life would be at when she left school and I don't think I have achieved any of it :rotfl:. Oh well. Never mind
