  • Oh I know she does. When we were out on Friday night she just watched me all night. She's never been like this with me before in fact sometimes I felt she got pleasure out of putting me down but tbh I think that was just her way and now she is too poorly and realises I'm not that bad :p.

Worked today at cleaning job and I'm really shattered now. Just going to chill the rest of ths day and catch up on some telly. DD owed me £215. She has paid me £80 and the other £135 is going into my account toorrow. The money is owed to my CC for her ticket to T in the park so I will pay the £135 off of CC immediately and as soon as the CSA money goes in then I'll pay off the other £80. I intended paying a good chunk from CSA money into the CC but DS desperately needs shoes and a jacket. He never ever asks for anything but he has asked me for a pair of converse so I am going to get him them. I'll get a jacket from Primark or somewhere.I then need o get to the freezer shop and fill the chest freezer with the food stuff that the ids like i.e. pizzas, ice lollies, waffles, chips, you et the picture. I need to have food like that in for them as their cooking skills are still being honed :rotfl:and when I am at my mum's they need easy food to cook and eat. I cook healthily when I am home.

No doubt after that there'll be little money left but I'll try and pay something as my monthly target is £655. I will have paid £439.45 so still need to pay £215.45 . I have £25 wages next week so £190 left. I might just get DS shoes and a jacket from my wages and do my damndest to do this. It shouldn't be anywhere near as difficult from now as no more huge occasions this year.

Anyway the party girl is on her way up and needs a lift as she is on her way to a concert so I best get my shoes on :rotfl:. I want a taxi sign for my car for my birthday :p

It's only just mind you but I am so so pleased. It seems no time since I was all excited at being in the 17's :rotfl:. Anyway I really feel as if I am getting somewhere now and it's feeling good :D.

  • JB my work has a contract with optical express so I will get a free pair for the computer but I reckon I need ones for driving as well. I think they are different prescriptions so I want to get normal and sunglasses for there as sometimes the low sun on way to work is blinding. They have an offer on that if you buy a pair at £100 then you get a pair free so that sounds like a plan :D. I can't wait to be able to see properly :D.

DD got her deed poll organised today. £50 to change her name and have it registered and a few copies. She paid £30 and I paid £20 so she can now get everything changed i.e. bank accounts, passports etc and then forget about it unless she gets married. .

Went to the school for a meeting re DS's France trip and OMG I am so jealous. He is going to Nice, Monaco, st tropez, cannes and Antibes. It sounds devine. He also came home today with a letter regarding a trip to Blackpool pleasure beach so £40 for that too. I give up this month cos there's no chance now that I am going to manage to meet my target. I'm not bothered too much though as my DFD will not change and at the end of the month I will pay the final payment to my mum so that releases another £100 towards the debt :D. All is well.

  • Raging.com:mad:. Bloody MBNA. I transferred almost all of my debt to them onto 0% and phoned and paid the balance off and closed the account. I then got a message from then saying that because I had cancelled the DD they were charging me £12 . Obviously I argued with them about it but they are not for refunding. Apparently because I cancelled the DD within 5 days of it being due to be collected then they had already asked the bank for it and I had cancelled it. Now regardless of the fact that my account had a nil balance they ae still charging me. To add insult to injury the b's have charged me 47p interest . I cannot bloody wait to get rid of my CC debt and tell them all to GTF :rotfl:. Metaphorically speaking of course. I am fuming though.

From the money in my account I had £100 left. So I have kept £40 for DS's Blackpool trip and paid off £60 to my CC :D. Not made my £655 target this month but anyway I have managed to play about on the snowball and have reduced my monthly payment down to £630 per month minimum. This will allow me to be free and clear in May 2014 :D. If DD goes to college then she will be finishing it than and DS will just be thinking about going to college or will be heading into his final year of school. It seems like a good date for me to start anew :D. I desperately hope my car lasts until then or it could change the whole picture.

That's shocking!......but they seem to get away with all the time :(

I used to work in a bank and if people came in to question charges - I refunded them, wasn't supposed but I didn't care :T Your doing so well with all these little hurdles you hit, May 14 will be here in a flash! :)
  • It will be Nonnie :D and I cannot wait. How are you getting on?

Just bought 11 books for my kindle for a grand total od £0 :D. I absolutely love my kindle. It was the best present anyone could ever have bought me.

I am furious again tonight. I bought DD a laptop for her birthday ( cash remember :p) and it seems to have a dud motherboard. I am so disappointed. DD is away to my brother's to get it checked out. I got it from Argos so hopefully I';ll have no bother changing it.

Am tired tonight so I reckon I'll try and get to bed early. Want to see the apprentice first though.

Only spends today were for lunches and a wee sweetie tonight so not too bad

I'm doing well (blushes) dh got a bonus a few months back and most of it went to debt busting - some used for a holiday in the summer - not very mse when I've got debt but dh works like a slave and really needs it (my excuse and I'm sticking to it :D)
Luckily he will be getting this bonus every year and next year should be just about enough to cover the rest of the debt - I can't believe how lucky we are to have this happen and feel quite guilty when I read up on some of the poor souls on here.
So tightening the belt for another year and then hopefully might just be able to let it out a wee notch or two - will be very strange to have money to spend and save, not sure I'll want to spend, hope I don't become a tight git

Watched the apprentice - did enjoy the line about people speaking pure scottish and would Jenna understand them.....do you think she's ever watched Rab c :rotfl:
  • Lol god knows but her voice goes right through me. Aww that's great that you're getting there and you're right some folks on here are such poor souls. But in saying that when I started on here I didn't know how to manage at all and was in a right old fix. I had considered bankruptcy but when I found this site it taught me a different way forward. I feel guilty lots of times as my kids have had to do without on many occasions but tbh that's in my head rather than reality as when I said that to them at one time I got puzzled looks from them and they said 'yeah right mum' and then went into great detail of everything they have, everything we've done and also everywhere they have been. Both kids have been abroad a couple of times and also been on a holiday every year. So all in all not too bad.

Me on the other hand :rotfl:. I have the emptiest wardrobe in the world but hey ho my time will come of that I have no doubt. In am glad I have travelled this journey though s it will stop me from ever being so stupid again.

Anyway back to now. Bit of a spendy day as DD needed money to get into town for a college interview and lunch and I have spent money on raffle tickets and a football card for the office charity. Never mind. At least I can do it these days , when I started I would have tried to jook the folk selling. I used to be great at going to the loo when the charity tin came out. Not because I was tight but because I was skint :(

Not working this weekend which means for a change my house will be cleaned :rotfl:. It means no extra money but tbh I am knackered so am not bothered. I stop tomorrow until Wednesday so 4 whole days off :D. So looking forward to it. Payday on Monday and that will be my final payment to my mum for the loan she gave me so all is well :D. Heading into Glasgow on Sunday to get DD her prom dress. Her gran is giving her £5O towards it and she has seen one in Jane Normans for £50 so thats perfect:D. Totally freezing in here so I am just about to pop the heating on :o
