Hello to all you forumites out there, I have a question that I am hoping someone can help me with.
After finding an offer to take out a BMI credit card to earn 20,000 BMI miles, I decided to go for it, I spent the qualifying amount and now have the 20,000 BMI miles in my BMI account. The question is; How do I now transfer my BMI miles to my Avios account?
Any help will be greatly appreciated, Jen
  • I got an email from the a few months ago on this but have not tried transferring anything yet.

    It says:

As part of the bmi integration, British Airways is offering Diamond Club members the opportunity to transfer destinations miles to Avios at a rate of 1:1. We're delighted to announce that the new tool, which allows you to transfer destinations miles, is now live.

    Using the transfer tool.

You can transfer your destinations miles to Avios at a rate of 1:1. To do so simply log in to your Executive Club account and go to the 'Manage My Account' page. Here you'll find a link to the 'Combine My Avios' tool under the 'Your options' section.

Before you start a transfer please ensure that your contact details, including your name, email address and date of birth, are up-to-date in both your Diamond Club and Executive Club accounts. Transfers can be made between individual accounts, but unfortunately transfers into Household Account balances are not possible.
  • I got the Amex Rewards in the summer using MSE they offered £30 Amazon Vouchers if you spent £500 for each of first 3 months..unfortunately they dont know anything about it now? Does anyone have the link?
  • i have recently received my cash-back from Capital One's 5%- 1st 3 month offer.
Im now going to move onto the Amex cash-back card. Making use of their 5%- 1st 3 Month offer.
The cash back will be paid for this feb'14 (a calendar year later) however after 3 months the Cash-Back % drops dramatically. If i stop using the card after 3 months (as i have gained my maximum £100) and move onto another card, will the initial cash-back be paid into my account 9 months later, even if ive stopped using the card??
Basically, do i need to keep using the card every month to get the cash back after 1 year???
  • In theory the lender could cancel the card as it may be deemed inactive and you would lose out on cashback. Best to use it once or twice a month for low value purchases so it still remains active.
  • Hi,

Im looking to get a credit card, as Im planning on paying for flights for 6 people on it. I will be paying the majority of it off in the first month, however I would like to pay off the remainder on a monthly basis.

So basically Im looking to find out what would be the best credit card that has 0% on purchases for atleast 6months. Also a credit card that would offer me some sort of cashback or benefits to spending over £6000 on the card in the first month only.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Tesco credit card gives 5 clubcard points for every £4 you spend, you would get 1 for £1 just from the clubcard so that is 1 extra for each £4.

At normal rates you get 600 avios for 250 clubcard points. So spending £1000 gets you 600 extra avios.

At the last bonus time they gave 900 avios for 250 clubcard points, so spending £1000 got you 900 extra avios.

The big exception I can see is for Tesco petrol, where a tesco clubcard gives an extra 3 avios for a £4 spend (as the normal clubcard rate is only 1 clubcard point for £2 spend). So £1000 gives you 1800 extra avios and at a bonus time an incredible 2700 avios.

That can't be matched by the paying Amex cards which give 1 avios for £1.

    Or am I missing something?

    Hi
I've got 27000 Amex reward points and want to exchange them.
Does anyone have good. Ideas to get best value out of swapping these points ?

I'm wondering weather to swap them for nectar points, so I can use them at sainsburys.

Ideally I would like to usethepoints towards a summer holiday but don't seem to be able to get a voucher for thomson holidays who I prefer. To book with.

Basically I just want to get the best value out of my points.

    Cheers
