Hi just wanna say thank you for the debt forum. Just recently i applied for barclays credit card simplicity online and immediately approved. A few days after they sent me my card and my my credit limit was £3320. the card was 6.8%APR on all standard purchases and no handling fee and thats for a lifetime until i finished up all my balances. What was good is that the staff was helping me to sort my credit card balances on my other 2 credit cards with 22.9% and 20.9% respectively. What he advised me was to transferred £2000 on my highest interest and £ on £900 on the card, which for me is a good deal. I am quite satisfied with the product and advised everyone to take advantage of this current offer with Barclays card. I am so grateful and it least now im nearly going to close my other credit card, which making me worry all the time with this finances.0

I recently took up Ryanair's credit card offer for free flights. It initially didn't seem that good as some fares are as low as £4.99 but you still have to pay taxes and charges. That was until they started advertising some flights at a flat rate of £25 one way with no extra charges. £50 return seemed cheap enough but my girlfriend and I have just booked two return flights to Spain for free! (Unless you count the £1.44 it took to phone Ryanair's credit card line to book them!) It should have cost £100 exactly but we don't even seem to have been charged the £20 in total for booking with the Ryanair card!0

Hi, I have had a bmi credit card for years and looking to change it now which is why I was checking this site.
The points are a complete con. They only say certain flights are available for points. You have to keep quoting a date and flight and asking if its available, when I ask them to tell me a date that is, they just ask me to keep quoting dates and they can only check this way. I tried this numerous times and was going to give up.
My friends were booking flights for a hen do this year and with charges etc, it was £130 per person. I called and was shocked for them to say they were available but was then informed that the points do not include the taxes which they then quote a ridiculous rate - totally different to what is advertised for their normal fairs.
I then asked about exactly the same flight and was told my fair would be £200 as it was free but this was the taxes. The call centre staff were very unhelpful when I asked how on earth it could be more than just booking on their site and why the taxes differed, she told me she was in charge and refused to put me through to anyone else, this was an indian call centre and communication was poor
I have spent a fortune with this company over the years and certainly would not recommend their cards to anyone,0 -
I have had a Lloyds TSB credit card for years and have amassed about 2000 points on it for which I find useless.
I have no balance on it and pay off whatever I spend on it asap. I was wondering which Credit card would be the best to change to.
We shop at Tesco go on holiday abroad occasionally but not yearly and shop alot online.
Thanks in advance+0 -
