I applied on 14/10 and have had no correspondance from them either.0 -
Think i applied roundabout the 16/10 and also have heard nothing.
I wonder if I've been rejected because when I tried to sign up for an HSBC credit card they said my credit score wasn't good enough. I don't know if this is the case though and not sure how your credit scores are so may well be wrong.0 -
Finally heard. MBNA have turned me down. Ah well.0

I'm thinking of getting a cashback credit card and would intend to use that to pay for as much as possible in order to gain the points/cashback.
I know that it is possible to pay for many of my household bills by credit card and also my rent and council tax. However, what I really need to know is if these payments on the credit card would be classed as 'spending' and therefore count towards my cashback; or if cashback can only be gained on retail spending?
Has anybody actually had cashback for bill payments?
I know rent and council tax you will earn cashback on, In fact most utility bills you will. Only thing off the top of my mind that won't is if you pay debt collectors and mortgage.
Just make sure they don't charge you extra for handling a credit card transaction. sometimes it can be cheaper if you set up a Direct Debit, I know sky charge for handling credit card.0 -

Phoned them up on 08000851709 to get a decision, MBNA / Amazon declined my application because of my student overdraft (which was paid off last month I might add).0

I received my amazon card recently and I have spent on it. Does anyone know how we get the voucher. Will they email it to us???0

They just take £15 off your first statement. There's no voucher this time ...0
