    I noted that shortly after doing their promotion last time, they put the number of points up for an MP3 player, so use your points up quick once you get them

    Hi, I recently applied for a virgin cc via a link for the £20 megastore voucher in this thread. Virgin customer services are not going to give this to me as they say they have no record of me applying via this offer. Can anyone advise me on this matter?

    I think I'll just wait and see the outcome of their 'consideration.'
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Is the Sony card quite hard to get? I've only been accepted on 1 credit card last July. I've been turned down 2-3times since but my last application was over 3 months ago. I have no debts or missed payments, am I likely to be accepted?

    I applied online for the Sony card (MBNA) so i could use the points to get the MP3 player but I got a letter this morning informing me that ''we are unable to issue a card to you at this time''.

    That'll be perhaps because the Sony card is available via RPoints? They want to avoid paying you the cashback for a 100% online transaction, by including a phone call in the transaction trail. A few companies are trying this on it seems.

    Well i applied for this card and also got the message that they wanted me to phone, but i just think that this is just a way of getting you to phone them so they can sell you the card protection and stuff, Cant wait to get my card to spend on it to get my freebie, lol
