I applied for a Sonycard Amex credit card after reading about it on the weekly email.
First offer was 11000 points then the link site came back with 8200 so in point of fact the minimum credit should have been 8200 pulsebeats.
I used the card and have sent off the full payment.
The statement showed only 2020 points so I queried it and was told that it would be updated to the correct figure
That was over a week ago and still no further points were added.
I assume that I am not alone !!!
My terms ad conditions stated that 2000 points would be awarded on the first statement and the other 9000 points on the second statement. I have had the first statement and have been awarded the points, plus those for the purchase I made on the card. If you phone the automated system will let you know you're points tally.
be warned though- the card isn't accepted at the Sony Store in Bluewater:confused: , 'coz it's Amex
Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???

    Hi -
I too, received my Sonycard statement showing 2000 points (+ the 200 for the £200 I spent). Shoud have been 8200 + 200 = 8400, I had a letter - addressed with my name etc - with my card and t & c's which actually stated the 8200 pts offer.

Despite this when I rang Pulsebeats they were unhelpful (nothing to do with us ...ring MBNA) . Rang MBNA0800 096 8679 option 4 option 1 and the person there knew nothing about it, they promised to investigate & ring back.

I told them that I would cancel the card if it was not sorted out

I'm not holding my breath, though !

I'm wishing I had not applied for this card - It's going to be hard work getting this freebie !!!

  • Having a lot of problems getting my 2nd loyalty voucher from Amazon - I keep calling them asking for it and they keep saying it's coming but nothing arrives. Initially they told me to call Mastercard who told me to call Amazon and so on. I mean it's only £15 but the deal is that they send it to me when I've spent enough on their credit card.

People should bear this in mind if they use it after they've had the first voucher.

Hi, I applied for a virgin cc via a link in of the MSE threads a few months ago that gave offered £20 virgin megastore voucher - has anyone had any difficulty in obtaining this voucher? They don't give it to me for some reason even though I went via the link?

Also, if you shop in virgin megastores, don't they give 10% discount? I bought something a couple of months ago and have not received any kind of discount?

Also, can the virgin cc be used in conjunction with student discount?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Nick.
    something missing
  • Thanks for that Kuztardd went as smooth as you like, the points weren't actually printed on my second statement, so the freephone number was particularly useful. Just got to wait for the postman now... Cheers!

i got one of these a few months back with the promise of 11000 points. i spent on it as soon as i got it and on the first month's statement it was specified i got 2000 points. Ever since I have been waiting for a second statement for the remaining 9000 points but have not yet received this. Does this mean i have to spend on it again to receive the 9000 points???

  • just a tip.. best way to use the card long enough is to make deferred payments i know its hard to pay 2 times in one statement but atleast you can still use your card for emergency purposes
  • so it is ~~!
I support your point of view 。

    dvd to ipod touch
  • Back in May I applied for Barclaycard and they were offering Free Apple iPod Shuffle if you transferred balance of £500 or more. I did this and met all the t + c's - but to date no iPod has been received. I have tried to call and email and they say it is on its way but still nothing !! Has anyone else had similar problems or have any idea what to do
