Thing is though that someone over on ST.com has mentioned that the Elemis email code will work against ANYTHING and it's been niggling at me all day.

What's ST.com? When I googled it I got a website about microelectronics and I can't imagine they'd be discussing nail varnish on there :rotfl:. Am I being really thick?

ST.com = Shopping Telly.com. Was great when I had my real QVC addiction as there are folks on there who investigate forthcoming TSV's so you can decide whether to purchase ahead of time or not. It sorted me out actually because I used to the one the sitting there "jumping for the phone" because they were down to their last 10% of stock!
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    I'm a fellow member of ST.com, it's where VALM and I "met" !

Must admit I've never tried Nails Inc but I love the colours in that kit. I'm not buying though (I'm off to a craft and stitching show on Thurs and will need ££££££ in my purse for that). :D;)

Thanks for the tips, guys :) I promised a photo, so here we go:

    SalsaWeb.jpg

Not a fab photo, sorry, only a camera phone pic. Can't have been too shabby a finish, though, I had several people ask me if they were fake ;)

Took it off tonight as it was starting to chip. I'll try one of my other new colours tomorrow, hopefully...

Not over your red fetish yet then? :D My Leighton Denny kit looked gorgeous this morning but alas not enough time to play with it,probably, until tomorrow night.

:o I managed to avoid showing the several less perfect bits!

That's a Boot No.7 Stay Perfect - Salsa. It's a nice, rich non-tarty red with a fine metallic finish. Got it last week on three for two :D

Top coated with the Sally Hansen Anti-Chip Insta-Dri, which worked pretty well, athough will probably be better once I improve at applying the varnish ;)

  • After being sold out for last few weeks managed to get hold of the Barry M nail effects, i was sceptical but dd wanted to try it but i have beaten her to it. i have never had so much fun with a nail polish. i have tried it on fingers and toes, over bright orange and nails inc jermyn street. result. (think i may have to go and stock up) it is really funny to watch it "work" :D
am tempted to take off all my varnish, paint all nails a different colour just to see the effect this has on the colours (i am easily pleased lol)
    Lead us not into temptation...

just tell us where it is and we'll find it....

Funnnily enough I took my car in for it's service on Monday and the receptionist had a crackle effect on her nails, which she said was this Barry M nail effects. I've been debating all week whether to get it, and your post has made up my mind (the answer is "yes !) . Thanks.

Is it wrong that when I was round a friends for Sunday lunch and a carton of summer berries smoothie (a deep dusky pink/purple) was making the rounds of the table, whilst everyone else was going 'mmmm, lovely smoothie' I was thinking 'mmmm, that'd look gorgeous as a nail colour...' :o
