  • Another question for all you fellow nail enthusiasts out there... Has anyone used the OPI mini collections? been looking at a few on ebay and fancy the colours but was wondering how they are to apply? are they fiddley as the brushes are smaller. how many uses can you realisticly get out of a bottle?
They look like a nice, cheaper way to try some of the different and wackier collections but not if they are a pain..
    Thanks

Bought OPI Teenage Dream today, think it may be my new favourite and I'm not usually a glittery girl.

I have heard so many good things about OPI but have a few questions I'm hoping you can answer for me is this set any good http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.220464.cm_scid.KeywordSearch or would it be cheaper to buy individually on ebay?
Are the mini bottles not as good as the big ones, as I know that with nails inc that can be the case?
Also is there a certain seller on ebay thats got the best prices or do I need to just keep checking?
Sorry for all the questions but i've just got back into doing my nails nicely and want to get some nice polishes
    Thanks

Thanks for bumping Star - hadn't finished reading and stupidly hadn't bookmarked - have done now ;)

I'm growing my nails again - have been a chronic biter all my life but this will be the third time I've stopped - first time for 6 weeks, second time 8 weeks - and I love having nails! I find having gorgeous colours helps me not want to bite so I've loved this thread! Does anyone know where I could get some reasonably priced holographic nail polish? I keep looking on eBay but definitely can't afford the Gosh prices - was bidding on some Sally Hansen ones last night but was outbid last minute while I was off doing [STRIKE]stupid housework[/STRIKE] essential household maintenance
;) The Boots near us doesn't have a lot of choice but I'm not adverse to buying online...

    Hope someone can help! Thanks

Hi Star, I've found that unless you find a private Seller on ebay all the shops are selling OPI for about the same price as QVC anyway. The only factor you may save on is the p&p. Minis tend to be sold in little kits to give the customer a chance to try a few colours from one collection and as the colours in the kit you are looking at are from different collections I'd say this is a kit made up by QVC themselves. For me the full size bottles are better only because I find the application better with a bigger brush. The quality of the minis is just the same however. I always find with QVC that the kits always have one or two colours that I don't like in them so I tend to buy from ebay anyway. I don't have a favourite seller though. Have a look at lenawhite.co.uk. This is the company that brings OPI to QVC and they do from time to time sell the same kits - I'm pretty sure they've had some offers on recently too.

Out of the colours in the kit you like I own Flower to Flower which is a gorgeous pink.

    Hi all,

Im Trained as a nail technician and i have to say imo the best polishes are Orly and Opi, i know they can be expesnive but there so good, and you should always base coat, 2 coats of polish and then a top coat, the depth of colour they give is beautiful.

Oh and the best prices for opi are on ebay.

I am always chipping my nails and like to keep them short so was wondering if anyone had experience of longer lasting products like calgel? I would like to get my nails done for the summer and then forget about them so any suggestions or experiences welcome.
