I can't find anyone local to me that does it but have found a mobile nail technician who will do calgel for £20 which seems a total bargain but not if it is rubbish and I have to spend the same again to get it removed or hours at home trying to soak it off.

The gelish stuff sounds good, shame theres no one near me. How long do you find it lasts?

I get my nails done every 3 weeks and it's lasted really well I've actually gone 4 weeks with it and it's fine except for needing an infill. It's indestructible!

Anyone tried Minx? I've agreed to be a guinea pig and to "practised on" by a friend next week and I'm curious about how long it is likely to last.

I bought some more of the Bling tones from Boots - actually it was on 3for2 and I paid with my points. The dark grey silver type is delicious, and the green is quite nice. Much better than the bronze I already had. I got an eyeshadow for my free one and think they're really expensive normally

My 10piece discovery set from qvc came today, really pleased with it and can't wait to try it out tonight. I've just treated myself to the black shatter and teenage dream from asos which came to £21 but I had a £5 off £20 spend from diet coke and I had £3 in my paypal account from doing a survey so I only paid £13 can't wiat to try them teenage dream looks amazing.
Has anyone tried the pink nail envy? is it any good?

If you would like a shimmery light blue I can recommend OPI Catch Me In My Net.
Actually, it's called Catch Me In Your Net and I agree, it's a great colour. Wore it last summer on my toes and got lots of compliments.

I really liked Oyster and Milan, but they are quite similar. Love Salsa too
Absolutely adore Salsa, just wish it would last longer as it's such a stunning colour. Milan is gorgeous too - I was first put off by the glittery look in the bottle, but it went on far more subtly and lovely.

I bought that when it was the TSV last year, I believe, and really loved everything in it. It was my first real foray into OPI and a great collection to start with. My favourite nail colour for my hands has since become Princesses Rule! and after I finished the mini bottle, I invested in a full-sized one which I use often :D

I think that will be my favourite from the set too, it looks gorgeous in the bottle :)

I use a protein product as a base coat so I'm not an expert on these, but I believe the Orly Bonder rubberised base coat is really good. It's Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti Chip top coat all the way for me. Jesthar's a fan as well. Reasonably priced, dries superfast (even if the varnish underneath is not dry) and gives a great shine.

Another vote for both of these. The Orly really keeps the polish stuck to the nails and the Sally Hansen has kept my polish looking OK through 2 weeks of gardening (it's a light pearly polish, a dark one might not look as neat IYSWIM).

    Hi all,

Im Trained as a nail technician and i have to say imo the best polishes are Orly and Opi, i know they can be expesnive but there so good, and you should always base coat, 2 coats of polish and then a top coat, the depth of colour they give is beautiful.

Oh and the best prices for opi are on ebay.

hmmm ! I didn't know that Orly have nail polishes, I like their Bonder. Better not check them out (well, not until next Mon = pay day):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Has anyone used the ebay seller glitzandglamorize (in the US)? They have really good prices and really good feedback. I'm really tempted to order some stuff from them but was wondering if any of you have any experience with the seller?
