Well, went shopping with my friend, and now have two No. 7 Stay Perfect polishes (Oyster and Salsa), a No.7 Speed Dry varnish (Iced Mocha) and the Sally Hanson top coat :D

Now I just need to decide which one to try first! :rotfl:

Oh dear, you've stepped onto the slippery slope now! Do you wear gloves for washing up, gardening etc - if not you soon will :rotfl:

For washing up, yes. For gardening, not all the time. Horse riding is going to be the interesting one! ;)

And yes - I'm hoping that I can be sensible, but sooo many nice colours out there!

I decided on trying Salsa in the end - it's a lovely, rich red with a metallic-y sparkley finish. Managed to bodge a couple of the nails a bit, but no overnight texture disaster this time, so I'd say the Sally Hansen topcoat did it's work OK :) I'll try and do a photo if I get the time!

Most of the bodges were due to thickness again, I think - how do people find it best to apply dark colours for a good opaque finish?

And any tips on getting errant blobs off cuticles and the ridges of flesh each side of the nail? :o

If I'm using a polish that does not wash off my skin (I find that OPI does) I dip a thin paint brush into nail lacquer remover and dab this on to clean up.

I've painted my nails just now and am wearing OPI Mrs O'Leary's Barbeque. What's everyone else wearing?

Mrs O'Leary's Barbeque, is that the deep red one? V nice.

I use a cotton bud dipped in remover to tidy up any little mistakes.

Mine are bare at the moment while I decide what to paint them with. Might do a water marble tonight, not done one of those for a while.

Well I have just painted OPI you don't know Jaques - a taupe. But I am so excited, OPI new range out in May is a homage to the new Johnny Depp Pirates film, it includes On stranger tides, a lovely grey/green, and shatter in silver which transferred all the colours - a great effect!

The silver shatter looks nicer than the Katy Perry black one IMHO. Anyone interested in the Texas Collection which has just been released?
