  • Much better to have a few days off and not get an injury that could make you stop for ages! As long as you get back on it when they are feeling more relaxed than all is well! So stop beating yourself up!

I have to say that a sports massage sounds amazing right now tho! I've been walking like a puppet all today, my legs don't seem to quite work right!

I'm feeling quite disappointed with myself, I only managed to do 2 days then had to stop as my muscles got really tight and were so painful. I've had to book myself for a sports massage this weekend to help loosen them up. Fingers crossed it works and I can start again next week

It was my day 3 as well today, i got through the warm-up and circuit 1 before my legs started to cramp and I had to stop.

I'm putting it down to no exercise whatsoever for the last 6 or 7 years and hoping to start again tomorrow
  • You shouldn't feel disappointed in yourself doodle - the first time I did it I think I must have bent my knee too far over my toes (you know - what Jillian is forever telling us not to do :o) and it was painful for a few days so I rested it. Just one of those things, and it's far better to stop for a few days than try to push through and end up really hurting yourself!

The DVD will still be waiting for you when you're ready to get back on it! :)

Well, I do believe I've turned a corner with Level 1. For the first time since starting I can actually walk normally the day after shredding! Hopefull that means that my muscles are getting at least a little bit used to the torture I'm putting them through... I've also noticed that my arms are getting slightly less wibbly which is only a good thing. I'm well motivated for day 4 now!

    Hows everyone else doing?
  • Start day 1 of level 2 today, i am excited but extreamly nervous! i've read that it's a big step up from level 1, i'm preparing myself to ache like hell tomorrow, but i'm not going to give up. :)

insomniac03 - after day 2/3 the aching does slow down, i found at days 9 and 10 i was getting a bit stiffer but that could just be down to me not stretching properly! keep going you're doing great.

Did Day 2 yesterday and it wasn't too bad actually. Dreading stepping up to level two!

I won't be able to do Day 3 today cos I've got too much to do this morning (which I'm totally not putting off :o) then am at work till 9.30!

Will be back on it tomorrow though.

Hey me-charlotte, Let us know how you get on with Level 2. I've got Day 5 tonight so will be halfway through level 1! I'm also going to have a day off on Sunday I think. We have lots of wedding things in the morning and then a menu and wine tasting in the afternoon. I can see myself wanting to shred after some vino!
  • hey guys
OMG level 2 is a killer (not to put you off or anything) i can honestly say i have never sweated so much in all my life and i have never been so red faced either. it is hard!

So I had my sports massage this morning which was really painful and my legs are now really sore. I'm going to rest up tomorrow and hopefully get back to starting the shred on Monday.

I did day 5 last night but still can't get through without having to stop 5 seconds b4 the end of the 1st cardio sesh, I'm fine on the others but those jumping jacks and skips kill me at first. I might see about swapping the circuits round i.e. doing circuit 2 first then circuit 1.

    Anyone else having this problem?

On the plus side, I have noticed the jelly belly is a bit less wobbly than normal
