I simply wont answer you driver8 as i said im not posting this for confrontation but i knew some idiot would have to ruin it but i had given it 24 hours.
Im not trying to explain myself to you or anyone but I am trying to learn from what you think is acceptable so i can improve my own ways of operation if nothing else.

I am far removed from being an idiot, that's why i don't have to traipse around car parks with an hi viz vest on in all weathers.

tell me, how did car park's ever manage till PPC's came along?

I'll tell you, they managed fine.

PPC guy, what PPC do you represent. If you want to have any credibility on here, you should not have any problem with revealing this. We can then measure your protestations that you are ethical etc. against the track record of your PPC. I reserve judgemenmt until you confirm that.

I have to say in passing it must be a very slow PPC as you appear to spend an inordinate amount of time on here.
I have stated previously that i will not reveal which PPC i represent but I will also confirm not a single thread on any of the 3 sites relate to my company.

Also if you look at the time i am on here it is normally in dribs and drabs or when i am looking after my children.

  • I think, bearing in mind the animosity to ppc's, I can understand if the OP does not want to reveal who he is and where. I get the impression (maybe naive) that he is better then most and deserves a fair hearing for having the guts to converse with us. Lets try to reciprocate and give him a fair hearing, we normally only get the trollers.

So if a disabled person does not have a permit (sic) and parks in a "disabled" space you will issue them with a ticket?

A Person who is disabled normally would have a disabled badge. If a person parks in a disabled bay they would indeed be issued a ticket. I would however cancel any tickets issued to them upon reciept of validation that they are disabled as defined by a medical expert. I am not here to penalise people who should be/have the right to be in the space. This is what some people on here dont seem to comprehend.

Also the revenue stream is there through greed arguement can be claimed for any service such as MOT. does it really cost £50 for a person to spedn 25-30 minutes on a car?

  • If PPC guy is as ethical and reasonable as he makes out he will not have any animosity shown to him or any bad track record which will suddenly become apparent. The biggest conman in the world can claim to be the most ethical and reasonable operator in the unregulated world of forums. Most people are not so ashamed of the company they work for that they cannot mention its name.

I am willing to bet that if PPC guy has the cojones to reveal who he works for the reason for his reticence will become all to apparent.

  • Not sure if the rules would allow him to say as someone would complain he's advertising. LOL.

Thanks for the reply ppc_guy, just a question to the regulars on here, if for example we would set up a PPC how would we run it, in regards to tickets, car park management, providing a service not only for the retailers, but stopping abuse of parking spaces, bearing in mind that this is a hypothetical question ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I think a more reasonable charge of say £20 or £30 would be fairer, which would possibly mean you have a higher proportion of people actually paying you so you end up with the same or similar revenue as charging a higher amount.

As you're not declaring which co you work for (Which personally I think is understandable), could you tell us roughly what percentage of your "customers" pay your current charge.

As other posters have mentioned a fairer appeal process would also help

All this kerfuffle didn't exist when owners of private car parks paid a car park attendant to take the money on entry, issue a ticket and PROVIDE SOME SECURITY.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
