I simply wont answer you driver8 as i said im not posting this for confrontation but i knew some idiot would have to ruin it but i had given it 24 hours.
Im not trying to explain myself to you or anyone but I am trying to learn from what you think is acceptable so i can improve my own ways of operation if nothing else.

  • AFAIK there have been no cases where the driver has ignored completely the ppc. Its only where there has been some form of communication, admission in a forum or admission to the ppc by email. So complete ignorance is generally the best defence.

OP - in your first post you say "This method is clearly in place to prevent unauthorised parking"

I must disagree I believe it is designed as a revenue stream for PPCs and nothing more.

You also state "No Blue badges hold no weight on private land but are often used by PPC's to distinguish a valid disabled users vechicle."

How does the lack of a blue badge prove that the users is not disabled?

A few things, there is no independent appeals for tickets, the tickets are not enforceable, companies ticket for the most trivial of things, time limits are to short, one of my local ones lurked by parking eye has a three hour time limit, there is a cinema, bowling alley and restaurants there, three hours is not enough time when a film could last that long,

And as you are selling parking management, tell me how many these car parks you cleared snow off and gritted, cleared litter and helped people find parking spots? For me that is management, not sitting in an office sending out invoices because of a camera!
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

As i said peter i had only scanned here/CAG/Pepipoo i dont know the in depth detail of any of the cases. I have however seen one case where the RK was taken to court and charged the amount for failing to co-operate and provide the driver details.

  • Yep, we all have seen this one, he boasted online (unbeknownst to him) to the ppc and tried to lie to the judge and got spanked.

I've also thought of starting a new Jet wash. Unfortunately i would not be able to wash Airbus A380's. The revenue stream si there as a direct result of the prolem.

It doesn't this is why my signs do not say "disabled only" or simmilar but valid Permit required. In this case the only permit accepted is a Blue Disabled Badge. The permits are any permit which we accept so in this case they would have weight.

The revenue stream is there because of greed

So if a disabled person does not have a permit (sic) and parks in a "disabled" space you will issue them with a ticket?

The first issue is an issue of mis-management. These sites should be a pay on exit barrier and the tickets should be validated at any of the complex facilities to give the suers a grace period and under no circumstances should these be ANPR sites as i imagine they are.

For the Latter all of the sites i control were gritted to varying levels. Some were just gritted and cleared for foot access on the main paths others were totally cleared and gritted.

One site I have is up an outside ramp. I drove up this not knowing round the corner was not clearer and nearly slid back down. I spent almost 2 hours clearing the whole ramp to a point i would be happy driving down with my 1 year old son in the back with no concenrs for safety.
Litter is just a courtesy thing and takes a minute to pick up.

  • PPC guy, what PPC do you represent. If you want to have any credibility on here, you should not have any problem with revealing this. We can then measure your protestations that you are ethical etc. against the track record of your PPC. I reserve judgemenmt until you confirm that.

I have to say in passing it must be a very slow PPC as you appear to spend an inordinate amount of time on here.
