The Right is simple. a disabled bay is intended for the use of a disabled person or for the facilitiation of a person directly aiding a person who falls into the afore mentioned category.
I said normally as i know EVERYONe who is disabled wont have a blue badge.
Validation acceptable would be anything which proves beyond doubt a person is disabled.
Who the hell are YOU a private citizen to demand proof from a private citizen that they are disabled?
Do you have a warrant card? No thought not.
You are NOT a cop.0 -

I said normally as i know EVERYONe who is disabled wont have a blue badge. Correct they wont
Validation acceptable would be anything which proves beyond doubt a person is disabled. What kind of anything? How disabled to they have to be?
As anyone can park in these spaces as they have no legal standing why do you even bother to ticket them?0 -
About 40% pay "off-screen"
About 10% pay after NTO
A Further 15% will pay when snet last chance for decreased amount
the other 35% probably wont pay ever.
Our appeals rate is about 40% sucess which shows we do accept appeals. Some appeals not counted in this 40% are appeals such as "got stuck in a queue" which is a feasible excuse but for a hour overstay its a bit extreme so we will offer a further reduced price.
Thanks for sharing your stats, I assume you charge £60 etc.
Do you think reducing your charge to say £25 would increase your stats and admin eg paying the DVLA charge and the cost of chase letters.0 -

Why is validation required when its not a legally enforceable bay ? its upto you the ppc to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the person is disabled, we dont have to prove anything !You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

So a print out of an MRI scan would do it, would it? Despite the fact that you wouldn't have a clue what you were looking at, or for......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I could argue three things on that point alone.
1) My inlaws are registerd disabled and often come out with us on shopping trips. Why should I get penalised for parking in a disabled bay when I have them on board, I dont use their badge, they keep their badge in their car.2) Sister is registered disabled - she has Crones disease. She drives and sometimes needs the disabled bays in private car parks. She is only 38 and doesnt want to be branded as disabled and so has not applied for a BB. So being as she is "legally" disabled how would you know she isnt ?, afterall she IS entitled to use the bay.
3) You have openly admitted disabled bays on private land are not worth the paint they are painted with and are not legally enforceable, so why then does your company harass people who have parked there...could be my sister who is legally entitled to park there ! and your company is aggrivating her condition....thought of that have you ?
We dont aggrivate anyone we simply apply a ticket an then go on our way. If we got an appeal letter then we would cancel the ticket.Getting back to how should pcp's be patrolled ? barriers have to be the only way forward, ticket on entry then redeemed at till upon purchase, if there is no purchase made then a daily parking fee is payable to exit - say £5 or equivelent charge made by local council for parking all day.As for being invoiced for going back to the store where you have just done shopping and forgot something, who made that rule up ? im betting the stores didnt, why would the store turn away customers ? my local LIDL parking for 1 n half hrs no return within 2 hrs....thats Euro ballcocks.... I get all the way home do some work go out of time and then remember that product I needed, go back to the store and get a ticket ! f c u ked if im going to pay the ppc for a ticket there when im spending money in the store, again raises the case for barriers.Money to purchase the barriers ? PPC's could charge the stores a contract fee over a few years for proper car park management, gritting - lighting - surfacing - landscaping etc and recoup the money for the barriers that way, the ppc could also get percentage of the daily parking fee if folks dont shop there.
Looking forward to your answers on those points ppc guyHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
"and when the barriers are damaged every week because people dont want to pay?"
Got some statistics on that?
Just out of curiosity.
Any place I have parked with barriers they have been intact.0 -
"We dont aggrivate anyone we simply apply a ticket an then go on our way. "
The first part of that sentence is in direct contradiction to the latter part.0 -

The only person who should ever receive a valid invoice for car parking is the car park abuser! Anybody who has a legitimate reason for being on the site should not receive an invoice. Can we go in a store and state they have to serve us within a given time. Are we not allowed to return goods which are faulty or do not fit because if we do we run foul of the no return clause.
The only reason any company or landlord would wish to give a PPC control over their car park would be to avoid abuse, the PPC's have taken it on themselves to penalise for very trivial matters and charge ridiculous amounts for doing so.
The PPC's have shot themselves in the foot and I believe any acceptance of them will be hard won. There is a better way to deal with commuter abuse and it would probably be easier to enforce if done correctly. The PPC system was set up not to alleviate a problem but to gain revenue, that's why we see so many ridiculous contraventions.0
